Bought four tires: sigma shadow. 55,000 miles warranty. 215/75r14, 6k60, at tire kingdom located at:8790 sw 24th st.miami, fl. 33165. This tire had 10,550 miles. This last incident happened in houston. I went to ntb (part of the same company) located at:7115 fm 1960 road west. Telephone 281- 580-1689.i talked to the mgr. Mr. Fred johnson. I showed him the blownout tire, all the papers etc..and asked him to replace the blownout tire plus the other original tire. He said that he would only replace the blownout tire, he did not have the tire in stock so i had to return. Since he did not want to replace the two original tires, i asked him for the name and telephone of the district mgr. He told me that his name was arthay benton and his telephone 1-865-951-4622. I called mr. Benton and explained the problem to him. He said he would call me back. The person that called me back was mr. Fred johnson and told me that they would not give me any tires not even replace the blownout tire.i took the blownout tire to another ntb store and they replaced it.i am very concerned about the safety of these tires particularly the original tire. The first incident happened on i-10 in florida, the second incident on 610 in houston.in both incidents, when the tires failed, i lost control of the car and miraculously i did not have an accident. Tire pressure sensor worked when i got a flat tire.when tire was replaced, mechanic said the sensor needed to be replaced.today i had the dealership replace the sensor on the tire that originally went flat, service writer called to say all 4 sensors needed to be replaced as none are responding!

My son's cooper tire separated at the point where the sidewall meets the tread while he was traveling on the highway, causing him to swerve and run off the road.both he and i checked the tire and saw no puncture.i called cooper tire and was told that the tire, since it was a certain dot number, would be replaced for free.i was directed to a cooper tire dealer.the dealer took the tire in the back and returned with the tire showing a puncture mark in the tire tread.cooper tire now claims that the puncture was the reason for the separation, and that the tire was probably under inflated also.both of these claims were also used by cooper in lawsuits, which i subsequently was made aware of when searching the internet.i did not see any puncture prior to going to the tire dealer.if there was a puncture it very well could have occurred when my son spun off the road into the ditch.there is still the issue of the separation of the tire into two parts which occurred suddenly and without warning.
