I purchased 4 cooper tires 8/18/10. I started noticing a problem in 1/11. The side walls would become very dark black about 2" down from tread .then i noticed the truck not driving right. Sensation of being stuck in 4 wheel drive. Altough it was not stuck in 4 wheel. I asked many people today i had a mechanic look at them. His response was feel these lumps on the tread. This is where belts have snapped inside the tires all 4 of them!!the side walls are slightly bulged and was told it would only be a matter of time before i will have a blow out. I saved for these tires for 1 yr. Cooper atr owl 31x10.50 r15 lt. Please help because i can't afford new tires & i'd not want to kill some one on the road..
I was driving at 65mph on the freeway when the right rear tire separated causing me to lose control of my 2006 gmc canyon truck. I narrowly avoided crashing into the center divider, and the separated tire caused extensive damage to the right-rear bed panel. The tire was a cooper dakota ht size 31x10.50r15l. I still have the tire, and it is available for inspection.

Dt: the contact stated the tread separated from the left front tire. There were no noticeable problems or any vibrations with the tire prior to the incident.the manufacturerreplaced all of the tires. Cooper tires acknowledged there was a problem with these tires. This incident caused extensive damage to the truck.

Traveling at highway speed, the right rear cooper 31x1050r15 tire tread separated, causing my chevrolet suburban to rollover 1 and 1/2 times. These tires were 21 months old, with approximately 45,000 miles on them. They were rotated every 3000 miles, the car was aligned every six months and i checked the pressure regularly. I hada tread separation with my previous cooper30x950r15. The dealer said my load was excessive for the tire so i weighed my truck and he recommended the 1050r15s. The suburban did a great job of cradling us and fortunately we didn't hit anything on our tumble and slide into the median. *nlm
