Tccf transmission cooler condenser failure-july 16,2008 repaired; -leaking -slipping on shifting-had very little transmission oil on dip stick whenrepaired at dealership under the 36,000 limited warranty--after 4 days july 20, 2008 wife was rear ended by a dwi traveling at estimated more than 75 to 80 mph(my wife traveling on a state highway at normal regulated speed of 50 mph) -damages of over $13,500 to our car-all shop and repairs done by ford dealership , our onlyshop and serviceplace for this escape 2008.on february 9, 2010(at 21,000 miles later the 2nd tccf-leaking fluid seen in snow-dealership after contact with ford.com replaced and repairedunder good will customer plan of the dealership.they also replacedon our complaint of a "clacking" type noise , a steering rightfront assembly at no cost to us) there evidently a tsb on it.in addition we have a heating-cooling flow of air from our heat and air ventsproblem-temperatures not as we regulate them..the dealership had replaced a actuator in behind dash(have record of that along with allservice dates on ford ownership home page-believe it about on previous service for oil change)on completion of recent repairs and our vehicle returned to us on february 18, 2010 we advised the service manager of the continuing air-heat regulator problem-advised they would reexamine it on next service or at our convenience.the dealership has stood behind the ford, we must admit that-but our inconvenience and the so many that have seen by others on the internet seem to warrant a recall as to all three related problems--some of which seem to be related to the same tcc problems.

While drivingat 50 mph , the front passenger tire blew out, causing the driver to pull off the highway. The driver changed the tire and contacted the manufacturer about this issue.
Dt*: the contact stated while driving the vehicle 70mph it started to vibrate. The vehicle was taken to a tire dealership to have the vehicle inspected.the mechanic found the problem to be in the tires, there was unusual wear on the tires and severe rounding.therefore, the tires were rotated.the vehicle was driven for three months before the vibration was felt again.the vehicle was taken back to the tire repair shop and all four tires were replaced.once again after driving the vehicle for a short period of time the problem began with the vibration.the vehicle was taken back for inspection, the mechanic found severe rounding of the tires.all four tires were replaced again.the tires on the vehicle have been replaced a total of three times.the manufacturer has been alerted.
Continental tires has ignored my complaint.yesterday i experienced the third delamination, explosive or catastrophic blowout of a continental tire on thechevrolet pickup truck in the past seven months. In each incident the tread detached and destroyed the rear fender and inner fender lining. Set of four continental tires purchased at wal-mart, live oak, florida, installed and balancedon 3 january 2003, invoice number 485700 95770. Truck mileage 153249, included tire warranty. Tires installed were bar code 5134206727. On 9/06firstblowout and catastrophic failure was northbound on i-75 at adel georgia.left rear fender destroyed by tread detachment. Repairs accomplished ,mileage 20,0913.on1/07second tire damage was tread delamination which caused a large bubble on the tread. Before impending blowout tire was replaced , mileage 206681.third tire damage and second catastrophic blowout occurred onmarch14, 2007 northbound on i-75 near alachua, florida. Right rear fender destroyed by tread detachment. Towing charge and used tire purchase from a-1 towing, 14515 nw peggy rd. Alachua, florida 32615.3/15/07 today, i drove to the same tire mart and had the remaining continental tire of the original four removed. Invoice number in00289613, account no. Mcd2527. $353.04. I will retain this continental tire for your inspection or for my further complaint. Mileage 209808, account no. Mcd3537.gentlemen, i am displeased with your product. I have had three ofthe tires caused me much inconvenience and aggravation. For each incident, my insurance carrier (usaa)charged me a $250 deductible for repairs. The one remaining tire i shall keep for your inspection at your convenience. I have also retained the last tire that lost its tread for your examination.
