Tires are of poor qaulity, frequently needs to be force balanced.
I have had three continental contitrac asp245/75r16 tires fail due to tread separation in the last 4 years.this latest incident resulted in $2,000.00 worth of damage to my vehicle.i was mailed a recall notice sevral years ago for these tires but was told my tires were not part of the recall.the latest failure was on a tire with dot number ad70 449 447.i believe these tires are dangerous and that continental tires should do something about it.if they choose not to i would suggest you all investigate this matter thoroughly, as i have never experienced any tread separation problems with any other tireson either this vehicle or any other vehicle in my life.three separations on the exact same tires in a matter of a few years is inexcusable.please reply as i would be interested to know what my options are.

We bought a nissan armada on june 1, 2004, that had factory-installed continental tires.since that time, we have had six flat tires.we spoke to a tire salesman who said that they are one-ply tires and unsuited for our vehicle.we have since bought a set of goodyear tires and have had no flats.
