My new continental tire installed by carx tire went flat from crackingon hightway, no nails, many spots look going to be cracked, new tire outside ring rubber looks cracking.installed date: 02/19/2014installer: carx 9185union cemetery rdcincinnati, oh 45249513-667-5457

The contact stated that the driver of the vehicle was traveling approximately 50 mph when the front passenger's side tire sustained a blow out. The contact also discovered a blister on the sidewall of the rear passenger's side tire. The manufacturer was not contacted in reference to the defect. The failure mileage of the tire was 155. The vehicle failure mileage was 135,904.

1. Driving at 45-50 mphon straight highway2. Catastrophic tire failure on right rear.inside of side wall of tire blew out. Entire tread unzipped and separated from both side walls.3. Replaced with spare tire.

The contact owns a 2008 mercedes-benz cls550 equipped with continental extremecontact sport tires, size: 245/40/zr18 (na). While driving 45 mph, the tpms warning indicator illuminated and the rear passenger tire blew out. The vehicle was taken to mercedes-benz of stockton (located at 10777 trinity pkwy, stockton, ca 95219, (209) 944-5511). The contact requested that the tires be replaced, but the dealer declined to assist with having the vehicle repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 98,000 and the approximate tire failure mileage was 2,000.

While driving on the highway at 70 mph, tire burst. Replaced the tire and rim.

Tire side wall bulge developed after hitting pothole in parking lot at <15 mph.bulge ~1/2" high and extends from just above bead to just below edge of tread.bulge ~1" wide.four tires purchased and installed by sears (plattsburgh, ny) ~1 year ago - oem size on oem rims.vehicle has two sets of wheels (summer. I am writing to report the high failure rate of the sidewalls of continental extremecontact dws all-season tire - 225/45r17 91w.within a year of buying four (4) new sets of these tires, three (3) of them have already failed. Noticeably, all the failures started out as a bulge in the sidewall.if these bulging went undetected they would have resulted in fatal blow out whiles driving.i have complained about these bulging to company where i purchased these tires and did not get any help since they blame it on me on hitting potholes and that all tires will do that.but that is far from the truth.i have researched this problem/issue on the internet and realized that i'm not alone.

On november 13, 2013 i was driving on st rt 52 heading east in new richmond, ohio at a speed not less that 50 and not greater than 60 mph. At approximately 12:00 noon my driver-side rear tire completely separated from the tire wall--luckily this did not happen to any of the front tire otherwise i might have been killed.

I purchased 4 new 255/45/zr18 extremecontact dws about 13 months ago and now all 4 tires have a bulging bubble on the sidewalls. Of course i brought it back from where i purchased it from and they blame it on pot holes, road hazards. I currently cannot drive the vehicle in fear that i might have a blow out. I have purchased many tires before that were not continental and never experienced what im going through now. Let see how long it will take to be contacted with some help or what excuse they going to come up with.

The contact stated that the front passenger side tire developed a bubble on the sidewall in may 2010. The contact purchased a new tire after the tire dealer offered no assistance.the contact stated that the replacement tire also developed an abnormal bubble on the sidewall and the tire was replaced. The contact stated the tires were replaced six times within one year. The failure mileage was 30,123 and the current mileage was 41,441.

2007 scion tc bought used 2-18-14 toyota dealer had put 4 brand new 215/45/zr17 91w on car and less than 100 miles had 2 blowouts, not flat tires blowouts.1st on 2-27-14 going 55 mph on hwy. 169 mn. On hwy. 100 at hwy. 55 in minnesota tire blew had stake in center of tread, tire beads stayed sealed in place on rim but the balance of tire came off and ended on other side of road about 50 feet back. No reason for tire to come off that way. Car had been on road for 20 miles and outside temperature was 5 deg. Above 0 mn hwy. Patrol was called becausecar was on left side of road but spare was put on before they arrived so called an advised them car was off of the road.

Driving in a neighborhood development home, outside temperature about 86 degrees, dry driving conditions.driver bumped into a concrete curb upon turning into driveway and tire blew out, tire sidewall completely separating from tire tread.tires were installed in approximately july 2014 and incident occurred in september 2015.approximately 12,000 miles on the tires. While driving approximately 35 mph, the front passenger side tire experienced a sidewall blow out after driving over gravel in the road. During the incident, the vehicle sustained damage to the suspension, bumper, and rocker panel. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dot number, vehicle failure mileage, and vin were not available. The tire failure mileage was 12,000.

No discerning issues leading up to the tire failure, it's been multiple failures, induces by potholes or road grates you would normally encounter while driving. In 2 incidents the sidewalls of the tires failed completely ripping the tire sidewall open.one simply just flattened the tire, as of now, the shop is closed today so i don't know if it's repairable yet.
