2007 ford edge right back tire went flat. Took to shop. "bad valve'two weeks later, front left has a bad valve.

We own a 2007 ford edge and during our trip this past weekend had two of the four valve stems go bad on us and cause the sensor to activate. When we checked each time we found that the stems had "split" and air was coming out causing flat tires. The first event was on the 30th of july on our way to destination and the second was on the 2nd of august on our way back home. This was especially frustrating as we were in a nomans land area with no services and had to limp for a few hours on the donut spare tire to get to a town that had service.as a result we will be having the other two replaced today!

The contact owns a 2014 hyundai santa fe equipped with continental crosscontact lx tires, size: 235/65r17. While driving 60 mph, there was a loud explosive noise and the vehicle jerked. Vehicle purchased new 3/2016, less than 15,000 miles (hwy).12/1/2016 while driving on hwy, rear passenger tire sidewall shredded and macerated. Since buying car, have had frequent "low pressure" readings on all tires randomly without any definite cause that mechanics noted (tires were not removed).the 1 tire was replaced at our expense. The car dealership (nissan) and tire manufacturer (continental) each defer responsibility to other. There are multiple similar stories easily found online with these tires. While this particular one apparently does not have a recall, perhaps it should before someone dies.continental crosscontact lx sport

I have a 2007 lincoln mkx.within the past 3 months or so, i have had 3 different valve stem malfunctions (leaky stems on 3 different tires) resulting in my vehicle being disabled.the last one causing my tire to blow out.i was told by a tech that it was the valve stem on the first two tires so when my tire sensor warned me of low pressure today, i checked my stems.sure enough...one was leaking.i was approximately 35 miles from home and it is christmas day...so i aired up my tire and headed home.approx ten miles down the street, my tire blew out (beyond repair).i thank god that my son and i who were traveling alone were not injured...but with this being the 3rd leaky stem, i would say that there is truly a problem with my continental cross contact lx tires.i have size p245/60r18.

While driving the vehicle which the tires were originally installed (1995 dodge b3500 ramwagon the vehicle began to vibrate. Having previously experienced catastrophic tire failure with firestone steeltex tires, i suspected a tire belt shift and stopped the vehicle to inspect, but was unable to visually see or feel a tire problem. As soon as possible, i exited the interstate to intentionally drive slower and change the road surface to validate the problem was tire related. The vehicle vibration grew measurably worse, therefore i found the nearest tire store and asked them to assist me in determining which tire was causing the problem. The service technician quickly found the tire causing the issue by finding one of the tire tread surfaces had become convex. The tire was replaced and upon test driving the vehicle the tire vibration issue was completely eliminated. The continental crosscont lx, lt225/75 r16-e rated tire belt had shifted and was dangerously on the verge of catastrophic failure.

All tires are not safe. Tread is chipping away. First noticed at 24000 miles.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v equipped with continental crosscontact lx tires, size: 225/65/r17 (na). While driving approximately 55 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and replaced the tire with the spare tire. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (americas tires in simi valley, ca) where the tire was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. After investigation it was determined that the failure was due to insufficient inflation pressure. The manufacturer denied responsibility of the failure. The vehicle and tire failure mileage was 11,200.

The contact owns a 2015 acura mdx equipped with continental crosscontact lx sport tires, size: 245/55/r919 103h (na). The contact stated that the front passenger side tire prematurely deteriorated with holes and gouges on both sides of the outer tread. In addition, there was an abnormal noise progressing from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the front passenger side tire was replaced with a spare tire. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to a tire repair shop who visually inspected the tires. The tire shop provided no written inspection and diagnosis regarding the condition of the front passenger side tire as well as the other three tires. The contact was informed by the tire repair shop to call the tire manufacturer. The tire manufacturer provided no assistance. The tire was taken to an independent tire repair shop who removed the tire from the rim. Upon further inspection of the front passenger side tire, it was noticed that the inner tire was shredded all the way around with a black powdery substance on the inner and outer part of the tire. The contact replaced all four tires. The tire and vehicle failure mileage, dot number, and vin were not available.

I purchased a new 2006 ford f150 from a local ford dealer in huntsville, tx. After picking up the vehicle while driving home it was very an apparent there was a problem with the tires, the vehicle had an extreme vibration. I returned to the dealer, reported the problem and requested them to address it, their service department employee explained that the truck had set on the car lot for some time and the tires get flat spots and this is the problem, she told me to drive the vehicle and the problem would go away. This vehicle was just driven over 160 miles (from austin, texasto huntsville, texas, as it was a dealer swap, in order to get a vehicle with the specs i had requested), before i took possession of the vehicle. I had driven the vehicle over 100 miles before returning to the dealer to request this problem be corrected, after talking to their service person, i put more miles on the vehicle, the vibration still exist, went back to the huntsville ford dealer service dept, again requested the rotate and balance the tires, left the vehicle for repairs, my ride home was not much better, still a vibration, late took the vehicle back to the dealer, they told me to drive it and it will get better, so i drove it 34,000 miles, no change in the vibration, he only change was a very uneven ware in the tires. Went back to the dealer where they came up with all kinds of reasons why they are not liable. I still have these tires in the shed behind my home, removed and replaced them with bf goodrich tires; this resolved the problem of vibration. Now i would like a new set of tires to replace these defective continental tires and have someone look into the ford dealers unsafe practice.

We have a 2014 cr v with 15,000 mile on it. We bought it new. In 12-months the tire pressure monitoring system has gone off 3-times. I have taken it to the dealer and they say there is nothing they can do about it, except reset it. How can we trust this as a safety factor?
