The brakes and rotors of this vehicle are pre-maturely wearing having to be replaced at 19k by the dealer.i now have 31k and the replaced set is already 60% used.this concerns me greatly as the really makes the car unsafe.tires on this vehicle are also wearing faster then normal.will need replacement soon.

Purchased new cobalt 2007 in august of 2006.began noticing hydroplaning and control problems. Now that it is winter, the car will not steer, it pulls and the traction is terrible.i have been stuck several times.i no longer permit my wife to drive on the interstate for fear of a collision or worse. We have parked the vehicle and contacted our dealer with several complaints only to fall on deaf ears.the proper channels to report this has been followed but tp no avail has anything been done to replace the tires (safety first) and we feel something should be done before a serious injury or death occurs. 2006 cadillac dts with 23,000 miles on it and at a stand still and when coming up to a stop and making a turn there is a definite click or knock in the front wheels or steering column that you can actually feel. Even when sitting still you just turn the wheel a little bit back and forth and there is knock that can be felt. Have report to local cadillac dealer and told nothing can be done and to live with it.tried another dealer ship 45 miles away and they heard the noise also and cannot figure where it comes from then tried 3 other cars in lot of same vintage and the ones with more miles on them had the same noise. I would expect that from a less expensive car but not a cadillac. Also have a tire noise that cadillac and continental tire said is normal. But this is embarrassing when you pull up to stop or driving at low speeds you can hear noise like a squeak or rubbing noise like the brake pads are rubbing. Told this is could be the design of the tires, but have no proof and cadillac field rep would not give me the pleasure of talking to him, i had to discuss through a 3rd party that did not understand the issues and i was by him that the rep do not talk to customers they only give their opinion to the 3rd party and they in turn pass info on to customer. Not sure what a customer field rep does if he does not talk to a customer, they should change their title then. Am now fearful that with the tire issues and the steering clucking that this could lead to parts failure or accident leading to a death etc.

I have had the car for only 19 months. Had all 4 tires blow out, replaced it in less then one year, then had two more replaced for thread issue. Due to the tires and alignment , had left fender incident and right fender incident. On the left incident was making a left turn on the highway when my car started pushing me to the left, the other car saw me coming in to her when , i couldn't stop it from pushing it's self more to the left. I reported this to my insurance, but they told me there was nothing i could do. So i was blamed for this incident. After that i went to the dealer and they gave me an alignment. They told me there was nothing they could do for the tires and the incident that was caused. They told me there not responsible for the tires. The right fender incident was the same thing. The driver saw that i was making a right turn with my right blinker on, car started swerving more to the right and we both hit each other. Cops came and told us both that he wouldn't file it as an accident, that we both had to report it to our insurance. Both incidents were never posted as accidents. I have noticed that no one wants to help me. Not my insurance not the dealer. I have been so frustrated with this car , it's a 2007 car . I have filed a complaint against the dealer, but there telling me i need to be realistic, how more realistic can i get. I'm scared to drive this car, but i have no choice i need to get to work.

I purchased my 2005 dodge magnum new in october of 2004. The vehicle has had a right pull/drift since it was new. Conventional alignments have not corrected problem. The dealer now informs me they need to realign the sub frame and then realign the vehicle. This is a $300.00 or more repair and is not covered under warranty.i have complained to chrysler and they will not cover repair under warranty. The tires have premature wear also. With less than 25,000 miles i need new tires now.

After having the car for 6 months had to replace the tires and 1 year later replacing tires again. Can not open passenger front door while passenger back door is open. The hinges on door shifted and the dealership and gmac said it was our fault because of the mileage on the car and they aren't going to take care of the problem. The doors are chipping away the paint on the car from the doors hitting it. This is a new car and they told me to go through my insurance company to have it fixed. What ever happened to the warranty you receive when buying a new car? i think there is a bigger problem with the vehicle no one wants to admit. All we want is to have this problem fixed and no one will do anything.

I have a 2006 toyota matrix xr 2wd with 14000 mi. I have had the tires rotated 3 times in this period and keep 32psi in each tire, upon presentation to the tire shop (continental eco plus tires). The shop refused to rotate the tires since one had 2/32 tread wear and another tire was showing beltson the very inside of tire. There is also a humming noise coming from the tires as well.

Front end has had vibration since i bought the car. Have had continental original tires replaced under warranty 3 times because dealership said vibration was due to tire failure "excessive runout". Vibration is returning again.

Bought a 2007 ford edge in may 2007 with continental tires cross contact lx24560r18 in a option package with a 17 inch spare.very shortly afterthe purchase had carat dealer for vibration.dealer balanced all 4 tires.went backsecond time for tire vibration mechanic and dealer claimed it wasnormal tire operation.at 40 mph slight vibrationas speed is increased 70 mph it wasmore prevalent.it wasnot a smooth riding tire never felt this with any other vehicle we have purchased.feel this could be a dangerous problem with continentalreputation and only 300 miles on vehicle at that time and now close to 1000 miles now.need nhtsa to investigate this tire because of dealers and fords neglect.do not know if it is the tires or the vehicle.with ford's problem with their tires in the past and with the injuries and deaths that had occurred i think this is a very serious problem that needs to be looked at by nhtsa and ford.rode in another ford edge with the same tires with the owner of the dealership same problem with vibration but not as bad as my personal vehicle.owner of dealership acknowledged the problem.owner of dealership made a call to representative of ford for our area waiting for a date to meet with him and discuss this problem as of today. Trying to file this complaint my tire name and size and vehicle name was not on your list so i just picked one so i could send this to you again my tire is continental cross contact lx24560r18 on a 2007 ford edge.thank you.

Our '07 chevy cobalt's left rear tire outboard sidewall just separated just below the edge of tread all the way around the tire. Luckily was just accelerating up an on-ramp to highway speed when it blew. No tread or other sidewall damage lead to this (i.e. Punctures/debree in tire) - car has under 1,000 miles.

On november 13th i felt something wrong when driving home.i stopped at sam's club and asked them to check the tire pressure.they stated it was at 40-42.the attendant let the air out to 29.he said the tires looked ok and suggested have the alignment checking.while on the freeway home, the tread separated from the tire.i thought i had hit something, pulled over and kicked each tire for damage (it was dark).there was air in all tires so i decided to go the last 5 miles home.immediately driving a few feet i realized something was wrong.i called a tow and the operator said the tread separated.we had the car dropped off at garrett motors.the next morning we told them what happened.later they called saying it would not be covered because the tire was underinflated and that was why it became separated.we told them we had proof that the tire pressure was at the correct level 20 minutes before, and that the tire felt it had air (garrett claimed it was 10psi-visual observation did not show that small amount of air).garrett refused to honor the warranty citing it was operator error.they also said that all other tires needed replacement.garrett refused to replace any of the tires or fix the body damage to the car due to the tire tread hitting the side of the vehicle.

The contact leased a 2008 chevrolet cobalt.the vehicle has continental touringcontact as tires, size 195/60/r15 (na).while driving between 55-60 mph, the contact heard a loud noise outside of the vehicle.she immediately pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road.she observed that the front driver's side tire lost an excessive amount of pressure.roadside assistance was called to the scene and they replaced the tire with a spare.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that the front driver's side tire exhibited severe tread separation.the tire was replaced with a new one.the failure mileage was 31,322 and current mileage was 32,300.

First incident happened on 7/22/06. I thought it was isolated, i was wrong. Second incident happened on 1/14/07. About two weeks prior to the incident the started pulling to the left & the will rattle like you're driving on a dirt road. On the morning of 1/14/07 while my wife was driving going to work the left front tire blew up on the freeway luckily she was able to control the car to a stop.

I bought these tires and they only have a few thousand miles on them. They were 60,000 miles tires. With my alzheimer's husband under the care of hospice i went to run errands. I also recently bought 2 new front tires. When putting them on the told me they looked dry rotted and to take them back. Merchants tires has moved. It cost money to drive around trying to find where they moved to. Hospice only gives me 1 hr. Tell me how i am suppose to take care of this?

The contact owns a 2008 pontiac g5 equipped with continental touring contact a/s tires, line size p195/60r15. The contact was driving approximately 65-70 mph when the driver side rear tire experienced tread separation and caused slight damage to the vehicle. The contact pulled over and installed the spare tire. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that they would repair the vehicle for cosmetic damage due to the separation and replace the tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The current and failure mileage was 27,729.

The entire outer tread separated from the tire, leaving the sidewalls intact. Occurred while driving 65 mph at 6am on freeway. The tire pressure slowly leaked out while driving off of freeway. Steelbelts do not appear to be damaged and are the only thing left in tread area. When tread separated, a loud noise occurred and rear fender area was moderately damaged.

On thursday, january 26th, i was driving home and had a flat on the front driver's side tire.i replaced the tire.two weeks later on friday, february 10 i had another flat (rear passenger) tire.both of these tires were continental touring contact as p215 s60/16.my concern is whether or not there was a recall on these tires.i have 2 more left.i purchased the car from carmax in richmond, va in july 2005 (2002 mercury sable ls).currently there are 39,981 miles on the car.

I have a 2005 altima 3.5 sl. I started noticing problems with the tires within the first 6 months. I had the car aligned and the tires rotated around 9,000 miles. This did not fixed the vibration issue. The car feels like i'm driving on marbles at highway speeds and the right front fender is rattling. I called the dealer and they looked at the car. They did not find anything wrong with the tires. I took it to a tire dealer, one by one had each of the 4 tires replaced. I am still having issues at highway speeds-car still feels like riding on marbles. I am contacting the service director at the dealership again on this problem not sure what the problem is-i suspect is it something mechanical.

After driving the new car approximately 4 weeks the consumer noticed a golf ball size bubble on the sidewall of the driver's side front tire. The consumer was informed that her tire was defective and shredding on the inside.*tc

On two separate occasions in 2006 and 2007, oem continental touring tires 225/45r17 on my 2006 jaguar x-type sport sedan sufferedspontaneous, catastrophic blow out failure under what should have been nominal operating conditions. {i-95, i-495, clear dry pavement, speed below 80 mph].since those events, remaining tires have exhibited sidewall bulging and other evidence of cord separation.today (12/26/2008) while visiting safety website, learned of at least 50 similar spontaneous failures of same product, which is also oe tire on mercedes c300 and bmw 3 series sedans.this seems to be more than coincidence.

Tires on chrysler 300c need to be replaced at 15,000 miles.tire is continental contitouring contact ch95.may be safety issue as consumers are not expecting to replace tires so early.continental says tires not covered until consumer replaces them, and chrysler did not disclose these are very high performance tires and would need to be replaced every 15,000-20,000 and say they cannot do anything either.this may also be a problem on the dodge charger and magnum also. Very pleased with the car, but not with tire wear and possibility of accident resulting from premature tire wear.

Driving at 70 miles an hour the front tire outer tread came off the tire throwing the tire that came outfrom the car, cracking the windshield and bending a fender and running board. Almost making me loose control of the vehicle. The tire brand was continental dot cpv9blc0707 notified gm of the damages and they said they would take a look.

Severe cupping wear mainly on front tires on the inside edges.

I bought a 2005 freestyle and had to replace the tires at 19000 miles tried to find snow tires and had been told that there's no such thing made for this vehicle. Just street tread what about that , and i had to give a arm and leg to buy a set of new tires for this thing.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac dts equipped with continental touring contact ac tires. The contact stated while accelerating from a stop, there was a repeated thumping noise coming from the front driver's side tire. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the tread was warped and there was a lump in the tire. The tire was not replaced and the failure continued to recur. The dot number was not available.the failure mileage was 30,000 and the current mileage was 31,000.

Vehicle had a severe vibration problem when delivered in april.a wheel alignment was performed at 125 miles. Now, at 3750 miles the problem returned but much more pronounced. At 45 mph it felt like a flat tire or a wheel was loose. The dealer informed me that the two front tires were defective and had to be replaced. On my way home i experienced a slight vibration and noticed the car pulling to the right.i returned to the dealer and they swapped tires from right to left.how will this impact my vehicle when i next rotate my tires? the vibration problem still exists. I am fearful that this vehicle is unsafe and, once again, will return to my dealer for a solution. Tires are continental p235-55r17 which the nhtsa site does not have as an option when filling out the "component" section of this report.

Tire failure - continental touring contact as* p205/65r15*(not p215/16 per form)the tire was oem with 2003 camry and had 30,480 miles on it and had been rotated as directed by manufacturer. No evidence of any puncturethrough tread. Tire failed on highway during rush hour and was driven a mile wherein sidewall was chewed up. Unable to determine cause of failure.

The contact owns a 2005 ford taurus.the vehicle has continental touring contact as, size p215/60r16 tires.while driving 60 mph, the steering wheel would shake.the dealer stated that all four tires were worn.the contact discovered that the tire pressure in each tire was low by one pound.the current and failure mileages were 22,000.updated 02/01/08.*lj

The continental tires on my new, 2005 dodge magnum were replacedwith goodyears due to the fact that at 10,000 miles the front tires were completely bald and the rear tires only had 1/8" tread left, i rotated the tires every 3000 miles and noticed the wear bars had started showing when i rotated them at 9000 miles. The dealer said it was not their problem and that i should bring it to a continental tire dealer and complain. Continental would only pay 35% towards the cost of new tires. After spending $32,000 on a new car then one year later havingto dish out over $600 for tires really hurts.my whole reason for buying the car was to not have to worry about expensivemechanical repairs for a long time.

S10 appropriate handling-letter from regarding a complaint about continental tires *tgw2006 ford taurus. The consumer stated as the vehicle sat in his garage, a highly visible bulge was noticed on the right front tire.

Extreme tire wear on 2004 pontiac vibe gt with continental tires.tires to wear markers at 19,000 miles.wear consistent on all (4) tires.manufacturer recommendations of rotation, inflation followed, and performed by gm dealer.defect reported at 19,500 miles to local dealer.pontiac has refused to act on acknowledge this problem.i was able to substitute tires to winter-only due to weather.concern is that there are others out there without alternative tires, and that worn tires could cause property/life injury in crash.

Continental tires (215/60/17), chunks of the tire are coming off.contacted manufacturer about issue, did not seem to be concerned about the issue (jose).ford also was contacted about the issue and they too did not seem concerned, however both parties acknowledge that there is something wrong with the tires. A common question of both was, do i drive on gravel roads.i told them i did not, however ford dealer said that there was shell and small gravel on underside of car.there have been roads replace in the area that i have driven on.bottom line.i now have concerns about the tire safety on my car and both ford and continental will replace them for a cost, but both refuse to acknowledge a tire "issue" at this time.will someone have to die before something is done.i at one time owned a ford explorer and went though those "issues".have there been any other complaints about the tires on the ford 500 or continental tires?could someone look into this issue and assist me. Thank you for your assistance.

Contact stated: on 2/4/05, dealer lowered the tire pressure from 41 psi to 34 psi and the car still ran very rough. Took back to dealer on 3/4/05 for a test drive, but could not duplicate problem, so he lowered psi to 27. It felt like the tires were rolling over marbles, very rough and unsafe.

[xxx] this is filed on behalf of my fiancee [xxx] (same address, evening phone) owner of the vehicle.we noticed a bubble on the side of the right front tire a p205/55r16 continental touring contact ch95 tire on her 2004 vw passat (which had only 3,087 miles on it) on the evening of 7-10-5 .i brought it to three county volkswagen, lyndhurst, nj on the morning of 7-11-05 at approx. 9:50 am.they replaced the tire at a cost to me of $126.28 saying it was not covered by vw and that the matter had to be taken up with continental tire.they sent the tire to continental the next day for testing.after repeated calls to continental, i finally received their response on 9-1-05 claiming the bubble was due to a road hazard. [xxx]this car & tire were driven predominantly local!i simply do not believe their explanation especially sincemy cousin, three county's former sales manager,(who by the way has been in the business for decades) didn't buy it either! if the bubble was not detected, it could have burst while driving causing serious injury or death to one or both of us!updated 07/18/2012 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

I am writing this report on behalf of my wife's cousin, [xxx]., who experienced a life threatening tire failure.[xxx]. , a 71 year old widow, had left st. Mary's hospital in tucson, azat approximately 5 pm on saturday, january 29, 2005.she was southbound on interstate 19, proceeding at approximately 65 mph, in her 2004 ford taurus lx vin [xxx], with 2500 miles on the odometer. The weather was mild, high 60's, the road smooth and clear.approximately 16 miles into her trip she experienced a sudden and cataclysmic tire failure on the right rear tire, a continental touringcontact asp215-60r1694t.she quickly decelerated and came to a stop on the right berm of the interstate. I saw the tire in her trunk and it looked "normal". When i raised the tire and flipped it i discovered that the inner tire wall had failed, jaggedly (saw tooth) torn, completely through the wall, 360 degrees around the tire. Much of the tire wall appeared "missing". Her trunk was full of friable black chunks and powder from the tire inner side wall. I have a sample. The inner tire wall bead was still sealed against the wheel rim, no separation.my immediate reaction was that since the outer tire wall appeared normal and only the inner tire wall failed that a manufacturing defect had occurred within the outer tire wall leading to long term overheating and subsequent side wall disintegration and failure. When the dealer examined the tire, he showed the consumer an alleged tread puncture and interior tread layer tear which voided the warranty. 552(b)(6)

Blow out in tires in the sidewalls and bad vibration going down highway.

At 100 miles a brand new nissan altima with continental touring m&s, contact as tires.p215/60r16 the sidewall blew out at 10miles mph.i am dealing with nissan to get them to replace all of the tires on the car.i do not feel safe with these tires.

Sudden flat with no sign of puncture in tire.continental tire p195/60 r15 87snote: tire size was not available on pull down.tire size there is wrong, see above.

While conducting a weekly inspection and pressure check of my tires, (continental contitouring contact asp215/60r17) a split measuring approximately 2" in length was observed in the sidewall of one tire.the split does not appear to be caused by any road damage or other external force.there is no air leakage associated with the split.the car has been taken out of service and new tires have been ordered to replace this set.

All four of my continental 205/55-16 touring contacts tires have large similar bulges in the sidewall tires are obviously flawed and need replacement i want continental to know this a serious and recurring problem that other people have made complaints about.

The tires that came with my 2005 nissan altima had to be replaced with barely 26,000 miles on them in only 2 years! the tires that came with the car were continental touring tires that were supposed to last "til 88,000 miles. Pieces of tread pitted off the tires, all four! the company claimed it was just road hazard! we've never had tires on 40 cars we've owned do this! it made my ride very loud and felt rough when driving. The car was difficult to handle at speeds 55+! continental would only talk to us after we complained to nissan, but their offer wasn't acceptible. They said we would get a discount of 30 dollars/tire and we would have to pay the rest, about $350 dollars. The clencher was that i had to buy continental! who wants to put defective tires back on their car? not me! i got a deal, else where for better tires. Companies should treat customers better, to keep customers. I will not buy another nissan, or other vehicle again if they have the same tires! a person should not have to have a severe accident, or die to get a company to admit their product is defective.

Tires-- continental tires on my 1 year old ford taurus-- had a bad shimmy when driving around 50 mph.took to ford dealership.as they are 15 months old i have no warranty coverage left on tires.both front tires the belts "had slid"-i learned this is a common problem with these tires which are on thousands of taurus and windstar vans.i learned sometimes they "bulge" out the sides when the belts slide inside-- mine had not- new tires fixed the driving problem but i think it is disgusting as they only had 15,000 miles on them and i have no warranty coverage at all-they are unsafe and someone should look into it.thank you.my model # on the tire is p21560r1694t touring contact as.

Traveling on 95 north from va to md in 2005 nissian altima that was purchased 06/06/05 rear passenger tire completely shreded after gaining control of vehicle and pulling car over, only sidewalls of tire remained. We changed the tire to the donut that was provided with the vehicle and drove to the next exit in search for a place to replace a tire on a sunday afternoon. I have contacted nissian along with continental tires in reference to defect have advised that i am concerned and no longer feel safe with these tires and requested they all be replaced for the safety of myself and family. The car currently has 1385 miles.at the time of the tire failure there were 1268 miles on the vehicle.the tire was inspected by a authorized continential dealer in glen burnine maryland stated that the belts had seperated causing only the sidewalls to be left. Although no one in my family has been phyiscally hurt, this was a very emotionall incident. This could have potentially been alot worse and not only caused injury to us but other travelers as well.i feel that continental should be held to backing there products and providing customers with the knowledge that they are concerned about the safety of its consumers

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet cobalt.the contact stated that the vehicle would pull to the left.the dealer stated the vehicle needed a front end alignment.they performed the alignment however, the failure continued occur.the dealer stated that the tires could have caused the failure.they recommended that she replace all four tires. The tires are continental touring contact as (mts p195-60-r16 dot number cpv9blc1306).the failure mileage was 30,000 and current mileage was 31,000.

Tread separation after about 33,000 miles (2 yr, 8 month time) on continental touring contac as p235/50r17 tire installed on chevrolet colorado truck as original equipment.

Failure of four continental touring contact as tires, size 235 60/r 17, due to tread separation. One tire failure occurred on 11/26/2006 and the remaining three tires had tread separations identified on 1/29/2007.

I was driving home from work on i 10 from casa grande, az to phoenix, az, i was about 2 mile from exit 164 when i thought the right front tire blew out, but there was no pull to the right and i did not lose any control of the car. When i got the car to the side i discovered that the tire was still fully inflated, but all the tread was gone, you could see the steel bans. I figure out the loud banging i heard that i thought was a blow out was the tread coming off. In the process of the tread coming off it broke out most of the plastic lining in the wheel well, the molding on the lower panel of the passenger's side and put a large dent in the door. You can see clearly that the tread just peeled away.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 35 mph in normal driving conditions, the right front tire tread separated without warning.there were no obvious road hazards.the tire was inspected by a dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the tread separation.the manufacturer was not contacted.the tire was a continental, touring contact as p215/60r16, dot number uptr4561205.updated 10/17/2006 -

I have noticed unusual tire wear for the last few months.i just brought my 2005 chrysler 300 limited in for inspection and i was told all four tires were worn out and needed to be replaced.car has only 24,000 miles with very limited driving due to an extended illness.tires were rotated every 6,000 miles.tires are continental.the dealer has said there is nothing they can do, however my front end steering arm was said to be defective and is being replaced under warranty. Whats the problem, the car or the tires?

I purchased 4 continental touring ties in the spring of 2002.the tires were purchased in sets of 2, one month apart.three of the tires failed through tread separation.i replaced the fourth tire without waiting for the tread to separate on it.

Front end has had vibration since i bought the car. Have had continental original tires replaced under warranty 3 times because dealership said vibration was due to tire failure "excessive runout". Vibration is returning again.

I have a 2005 ford fivehundred that is equiped with continental contact touring tires.according to continental's website, these tires should last for sixty thousand miles.currently my vehicle has15,000 miles on it and two of the tires are completely worn out.i have been advised by my dealer that it is not safe to drive the vehicle.continental states that ford should warranty the tires.ford states continental should warranty the tires.tires that wear out this quickly must be defective.this type tire should be investigated further to prevent someone from being in an accident and/or being killed.

At 8,000 mile mark tread is completely worn on both front tires of 2005 nissan altima. Car was purchased just 9 months ago and all required maintenance has been kept up to date. Tires have no dot number on them, making it impossible to identify if the product has been recalled or not. Claim filed with manufacturer, inspection carried out by tire retailer confirmed unusal lack of tread depth. Retailer also confirmed that it was extrememly unusual for any tire to show that much wear with such low mileage, regardless of preventetive maintenance.

Heavy vibrations from the rear of my ford taurus.another driver shouted to me "you've got a bad tire"changed tire & found that the non-dot side two outside treads raised from the tire & a large depression in the third tread.8/32 tread left on tire atthe tme.

Purchased 2006 dodge magnum in may 2007, with 18k mi. It came with conti touring contact ch95 continental tires. By august 2007, with approximately 21k mi i was told that all four tires needed to be replaced. Called the manufacturer, was told the model used on my car contains a rubber that wears down quickly because of its texture.

Dt: the consumer has a new dodge magnum with less than 2,000 mileson it and the tires are showing tread wear. Specifically the front two tires on the outer edge.the consumer had taken the vehicle to the dealer in which they realigned and rotated the tires from side to side. On the work order the dealerstated that the alignment was not one hundred percent. (11/16/05)the vehicle pulled to the right and there was a chatter when driving from reverse.*sc

Continental tire-p215/60r16 94t, touring contact as.i looked for a dot # but didn't see anything that said dot.did find dk67838 34255 on the inner edge.this tire has large knots and is splitting and separating in only one part of the time.the tires were original equip. On a 2001 ford taurus.one has been replaced, but still has three original ones with very good tread.the car has only about 40,000 miles on it.the other two tires have no problems so far.we had notice a severe bumping on the driver side rear where the tire is, but i suppose the car hasn't stopped in the right position for us to see it until now. We found other continental tires on your website that have the same problems and were installed the same year. We will have to replace it since we are afraid that it could cause an accident if we continue driving it.

Belt in tire slipped or let go.
