I have a 2014 honda crv with 21,751 miles. I always have had service by honda regularly and never had any problems.i was not due for service for another month when i had a flat tire due to a nail.i went to get the tire fixed when i was told by the tire dealer that all 4 tires were dry rotted.i was skeptical because the car was just 2 years old on oct. 30, 2015.i took it to a friend who is a mechanic and asked him about "plugging" my tire just to see if he would say anything about the tires being dry rotted.he took the tire off and kept examining it, then started looking at the other tires then he said all four tires have dry rot. Hesuggested 4 new tires and he does not selltires.i called the honda dealer but he did not get back to me until later that day.i called continental and was directed to one of their dealers.i was told it was not a big deal and they would only pro rate the tires not replace them for free.i told continental why would i want the same tires on my car again?that's like letting the dog bite you in the butt!.needless to say i ended up buying 4 new tires (different brand) at the cost of $520.86. The contact owns a 2015 mercedes benz c250 equipped with continental contact tires, size: 225/45r17 (na). The contact stated that the front driver side tire was beginning to lose air while driving. A compressor was used, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the tire began to flatten after driving long lengths of time and reduced in size approximately three to five pounds per day. The contact owns a 2008 mercedes benz e350. While driving 30 mph over a pothole the tire exploded. The tire was a continental contipro contact size 245/40r18.93v. The front passenger tire exploded and the right rear tire developed a blister and the rim was no longer aligned. The failure could have led to a fatality due to the poor design. The wheel rim on the tires was 18 inches and the tire was two to three inches off the ground. These are the original tire and rims that came with the vehicle. There were no injuries and the vehicle was not damaged when the failure occurred. Roadside assistance repaired the tires. The vehicle was driven to the dealer the following day. The dealer stated that they were aware of the problem and the defect; yet, they were unable to offer any assistance. My honda crv came with continental 225/65r17 102t tires, it has 28000 miles on it 2 years 2 mos later and the front tires are completely bald. The mechanic checked my alignment, the tires have been rotated, and they are evenly worn. I see there are many other complaints about this and i think you need to investigate- no one expects to have to replace tires so quickly and it is a dangerous situation.

Both the left side oem tires on my honda crv 2007 model blew up on me while changing lanes.i did not hit anything and have been rotating them as recommended by honda (all the servicing on the vehicle were done at the honda dealership where i bough the car).luckily, i was on a local road at 40 mph so i could keep my car under control.i have looked at the forums and have found that many other 2007 crv customers are complaining about the abnormal wear on their oem (in my case continental) tires.i took the car to a honda dealer who recommended that i should change all four tires- which cost me close to $1000.my car only had 29000 miles on it.honda apparently blames the tire manufacturer and wants its customers to complain directly to the tire maker.this is absurd since thee are many components in the car that honda did not make on its own.does it expect the customer to locate the maker of each component to complain when things go wrong? this is honda's problem and it should compensate its existing customers and take corrective steps for the new cars.there is the danger of people losing control of their cars if such an incident happens on a highway.

The contact owns a 2014 chevrolet malibu equipped with continental pro contact tires, line size: p215/60/r16. The contact stated that there was a large blister in the front passenger's tire.the contact mentioned that the tire pressure was low.the vehicle was taken to the dealer who inflated the tire. However, the tire low pressure indicator illuminated again.the tire and vehicle failure mileage was 701.the dot number was 6yx8bn4 3613.

The service department at joyce honda in denville, nj routinely overinflates their customer's tires by at least 5 lbs in winter. They tell me that they do that so that they're not getting lots of calls from customers when their tpms light goes off. I can't see how that practice benefits anyone but them by saving them from having to explain that, if the light is on, you need to check your tire pressure.

While inflating a tire for one of our customers, the valve stem broke causing all air to escape from the tire.
