Ac compressor went out on my mazda cx7 after only 19k.while i was driving on the interstate, the compressor locked and the a/c belt popped cutting wires and causing smoke and the smell of an electrical fire. I was lucky enough to be able to get off the road before the smoke turned into a fire. After getting on the internet, i found out this is a popular problem with cx7s along with shotty tires that has to be replace between 10k to 18k miles.

On, march 7, 2010 around 6:30pm, going on the highway, without any warning. The 2009 toyota corolla model le, went totally out of control. I was on the far right lane, heading from toa baja to mayaguez on pr-22. Reaching arecibo, by highway mark (km 74.2) the car steering went totally to the left and in fractions ofseconds my car invaded the left lane doing a 180 degree turn, had cars coming my way and just when i tough the other car was going to hit me. The steering on the car went completely the opposite direction and the car rolled again and i was going over the green area crazy fast. No control, spinning again over the grass area on the middle of the highway, heading right into the opposite side of the highway, cars coming at 65 mph or more. Then the car hit a street sign that changed the car trajectory and then came to a stop on the green area on the middle of the highway. The car ended all covered on grass, mud and impacted by the street sign that possibly prevented my car from invading the lanes on the opposite direction on the highway after the toyota corolla steered violently and uncontrollable seconds before.i have to say, this was an extreme situation that for who knows reason, all happened in a split second without warning and all the violent extreme movements happened without my car impacting other cars on the highway, but clearly i was very lucky. At the moment of the incident, a passenger was with me in the car and then can confirm has witness of the extreme car experience we endured.

The contact owns a 2005 chrysler town and country.the contact heard a grinding noise coming from the front driver side when making a turn and braking.the vehicle was taken to the dealer the following day and they stated that the vehicles brake pads were wearing into the rotors and needed to be repaired. The front tires are worn on the outside edges of both tires. The dealer also stated that the tires should have been aligned after 12 months. The contact stated that the vehicle was at the dealer for 12 months and the alignment was not performed under the warranty and she is responsible for the cost of new tires.the contact doesn't know the tire size at this time.the current and failure mileage were 10,000.

The spare tire well fills up with water.first noticed the problem when i had a flat tire and needed to use the spare.taken to dealer for corrective action.dealer sealed the tire well.that did not resolve the issue.again taken to dealer and trunk door seal was replaced.this has not resolved the issue.recently had a flat tire, and again discovered the tire well filled with water.the trunk now has moldy, mildew odor.have made another appointment with dealer.

My complaint is that honda has (1) knowingly put in faulty (suspension parts) upper control arms in the front & back of the honda civic, (2) failed to inform customers of the problem (a recall is needed), (3) failed to properly reimburse customers for the tire damage due to the faulty control arms installed in the vehicles.i bought my honda civic used at around 13k miles. Since then, i've needed an alignment every month. Despite this my tires became excessively worn at 27k.i went to two honda service stores (mission valley & pacific honda in san diego) to complain about the excessive need for alignments, road noise, & tire wear. They knowingly withheld information & failed to inform me of the service bulletin 08-001 since they would be required to replace the upper control arms (a warranty item) that they didn't want to replace.in the service bulletin, honda informs the dealers of common complaints related to tire wear & suspension & advises them to replace the rear control arms on the honda civic. Honda also will reimburse customers pro-rata for tire replacement if they have less than 25k in mileage.if hadn't have done my own research on the internet, i would not have known about this service bulletin. I took my car in around 26k so that they could replace my rear control arms. They did this for free but said i didn't qualify to get my tires replaced since i was over the 25k threshold. If i had known about the bulletin, i would have been able to get my tires replacement by honda earlier.it was their faulty parts that led my tires to wear excessively in the first place. I had to shell out $650 to replace my tires at around 26k miles. I've probably spent $500 dollars in alignments because of the control arms too.honda should own up to the faulty parts entirely and stand by their product. See honda service bulletin 08-001.

Excessive tire wear on rear of 06 and 07 honda civics due to a combination of the tires and rear suspension geometry.tires are rendered unsafe and must be replaced along with upper control arms and flange bolts. Tires are from goodyear, bridgestone, and dunlop.numerous posts are on the internet, including accidents with property damage. Honda has not issued a recall and will only perform service on a customer complaint.

The back end can slide around a corner easily, also will also come off the ground going over bumps or railroad tracks. This has occurred even while traveling below speed limit, on a clean dry road.

I have a 2008 honda civic with only 18,000 miles on the bridgestone turanza el 400. Tires. I noticed that the rear tires were getting very loud and then had them rotated to the front, which made the front of the car vibrate from the thumping so much that i had to replace the tires. I took the car into d'ella honda of queensbury, ny and they advised that the tires were cupped and that this was my fault. Did not want to hear any more about it and d'ella will not respond to me. I also advised that going down the highway and hitting wet pavement the car would slip on the pavement. Really just a unsafe tire. Having to replace tires from a new car at 18000 miles is total bull. Either the tires or the honda civic still have a problem in 2008. No help from honda, d'ella honda or bridgestone. Will stay away from all three in the future. $600.00 for new tires so far.

Roaring sound from rear of vehicle (sounds like i'm driving on 4x4 tires)!. Firestone dealer says both rear tires are heavily 'cupped'.this problem became noticeable at approximately 18k miles.the rear tire noise is so loud now, that i cannot hear my engine running while underway.approximately 50% treadwear.

I have a 2009 toyota camry. Just after20,000 miles, tires are worn-out. The dealer who sold me the new carasked me to change tires. I bought this car less than 2 years (a brandnew car at that time). If tires can last only 20,000 miles, these tires (oncamry) must be poor quality.i think toyota must recall to fix this problem because this could put driver/passengers at risk.

Was driving along i-10 eastbound in phoenix, az around 4:45 am on my way to work and i heard and thumping noise from the rear of vehicle and then the tire blow out cousing damage to the left rear section of my vehicle. Tire was bridgestone p225/60 r16 97t m+s el4z pl6 dot y7x0 (pl6) (4604) loil. When i bought the tires from wal-mart in az had too have one (1) replaced due to separting from the inside of tire which was on 01-26-2007 and then had to have on replaced after the side wall blow out 06-28-2007 and both time tires were replaced. I would like to know if there was a recall on the bridgestone tires for defects. Thank you

One days after driving from salt lake city airport to park city, utah, the dodge avenger's tire pressure warning light came on. Fearing that the tire(s) were low, i stopped at a gas station and filled two tires. As soon as i put the pump on the third tire, the valve cracked off and all the air came out of the tire. I replaced the tire with the utility spare. I took the car to a tire shop, and the gentleman at the tire shop told me the valves on these cars break easily. The tire shop had to replace the valve by ordering one from the dodge dealer, and the part did not arrive for two days. The approximate cost for replacing the valve was $90. For the two days during the repair, the car could not be taken on the expressway. I kept the broken part of the valve.

Email sent to bridgestone tires on monday feb. 23,2008at 6:45pm from there websitehttp://www.bridgestone-firestone.com/tires in question are:: p215/60r16 turanza el400i have a 2007 toyota camry that has approx. 31,000 miles on it. I took it in for service and have been told my tires are down to the wear belts . I'm like what!! you have to be kidding me, i have to purchase tires at 30,000 miles.i took it to harrelson toyota in rock hill sc. They tell me the same thing. I was then advised to call toyota of california and file a complaint.( i have done that) they advised that i call bridgestone. (i'm sending this email to you)i dont feel like with a new car i have had since last jan. I should be buying tires, because they are down to the wear belts. Kinda like you wouldnt expect to have to replace you tv after watching it for one year and it goes out even though you use it everyday.my point is i shouldnt be buying another set of tires at 30,000. I think bridgestone should replace my tires. I am 40 years old and the only person that drives this car, because my kids are to young to drive. So with this being said, i have copied this email and saved it to my files. I will be contacting geico insurance co and letting them know of this problem in the event i have a blow out, and have damages i am and will hold bridgestone accountable.(safety of my kids and myself).i have also filed a complaint with the better business bureau and with nhtsa.i will pateintly wait for a voucher from you to replace my tires. If i dont hear from you by april 1,2009. I will seek legal action at this time.thank you!-susan j. Smith

Broken belt with only 20k miles makes the tire susceptible to blow-out and unsafe to drive. Dealer says bridgestone attributes it to driver striking a hard object.so sad, this is the first broken belt i've had in my 40 years of driving.

Premature wear of all 4 bridgestone tires with approximately 13,000-14, 000 miles. Tread was significantly below regulatory limits, but not bald, yet the mileage was very low. All tires had been regularly rotated (approx. Every 4,000 miles), and when tested were in alignment. Contacted the toyota dealership, which stated that they only warranty tires for 12,000 miles, or 1 year. Then contacted bridgestone and was given a case number, and an appointment with the local firestone dealership. The gentleman at firestone confirmed that the tires were abnormally worn and made a recommendation to his boss that at least 3 of 4 tires be replaced at no cost to me. The next day, i returned and at first the manager was somewhat difficult, but after he had insisted on testing the alignment and finding that it was close to perfect, his tone changes and he couldn't have been nicer. He authorized the replacement of all tires, which had to be ordered, as toyota only permits substitutions with the same, or one grade lower speed rating, and the dealership did not have v-rated tires in stock, but the next day i once again returned and one hour later drove away with brand new tires. N.b. If you do not regularly rotate, balance, and if-needed align your tires, bridgestone/firestone will not replace.

I purchased a set of bridestone turanza el400t bl 195/60r15 87t dot# hykueadr2106. They were found to be defective and the dealer replaced them with same tires. Last night august 5, 2010 while driving on i95 southbound just north of glades road at 65mph my front passenger tire made a thump sound which i believe was the tread separating from the tire and seconds later the tire blew out causing damage to the right front fender, front passenger door, and aluminum wheel, luckly the accident was not fatal.the road conditions were dry and hot, i did not hit any road debris and did not hit any pot holes or such. The tires have an 80,000 mile warranty and i've driven less then half. Again i believe these tires to be defective for the tread to separate like it did. In addition i have lifetime tire rotations, balancing, and alignments at tires plus and have properly rotated the tires every 3,000 miles and kept a proper balancing and alignment of the vehicle and tires. Their is plenty of tread depth on the tires well above the replacement indicator and the tires were at proper inflation. Please advise!

Poor traction, starting and stopping on wet pavement.

Strange/excessive tire wear.

Tires rotated every service (5k miles), brigestone turanza's es400, cupping @ 20,000 miles.

Toyota 2008 camry le bridgestone turanza el400 p215/60/r16 tire cupping problems.in 5000 miles cupping problems was noticeable.by 15,000 miles it was quite severe.in the 25,000 miles the cupping problem was so bad the tires had to be replaced.

On march 3,2012 while returning from asheville,nc to our home in grayslake,il with a full day of nothing but interstate driving our tire warning indicator light came on . We pulled off at the next exit by calumet city,il. Assuming i just needed to add some air to the tire i was surprised to see the whole sidewall split open. We had not hit any sharp objects or potholes, but the run flat tire was ruined. As the 2011 toyota sienna awd does not have a spare aaa could not help to replace the tire. They could tow us to the nearest toyota dealership, but when we notified the dealership they informed us since it was late saturday afternoon they would not be able to take a look at the tire until monday. We then made the decision to have the van towed to the toyota dealership nearest our home(libertyville,il) at our expense.toyota gladly replaced the tire (with only 9400 miles of wear) for $283.00 and told me if any complaints to take the tire to a bridgestone dealer. I informed the toyota dealership that if the awd sienna had a spare and if i would have known before purchasing this vehicle it did not have a spare i would not be in this predicament. I took the tire to the bridgestone dealer . He said it looked like the tire was damaged(it was not,it just split apart) and said he would send it to the corporate office to be evaluated. This was a month and a half ago with no response. I am afraid this will happen again.

Noticed excessive vibration while drivingthe car in the expressway and thought that must be time to rotate tires so i pulled in my garage and noticed both rear tires have bumps and excessive wear while front ones look like new. Current mileage is 31,591 and noticed this been happening and slowly getting worse.

Leased a 2007 sle convertible.at 23k miles i had to replace all four tires.they were properly rotated as specified and two of the tires were showing the wires/inside linings!toyota told me to seek help from bridgestone - bridgestone told me to go back to toyota, it's a lease under it's mileage.toyota did not honor and blamed the tires for being too soft!unacceptable and i won't be getting another toyota since i had to spend over $600 in tires.

I bought a toyota camry hybrid 2007 at the end of oct. 2006.i also bought a pre-paid maintenance service.yesterday, dec. 6 2007, i took my camry for the 5th regular service for 25,000 miles.i commute to a distant work, so i put on a lot of highway miles.the service manager form the folsom lake toyota dealer called me to inform me that i needed to replace all of my four tires.he said that the tread was all worn out.i was extremely frustrated about the exceptionally accelerated wear ofbridgestone tires.i finally was able to talk to the tire company customer service.there their explanation was that because of toyota's specifications, they produced tires that had softer rubber for better ridership.it makes them last much less than their store tires.by the way, the tires, turanza el400 in their store will last about 80,000miles.the same brand and same model tires will have two different performance.i did not pay any closer look on the tires because i only put 25,000 miles on them.it is also mostly from highway drive.i spoke with toyota consumer representative.i was told that it is not their responsible and was told to bring it up to the tire company. I could have gotten into problems because never expected or suspected any bad tires.i had many different cars from different companies, but this is the first time that a brand new car tires lasting only 25,000 miles.a sales person from the bridgestone store in citrus height said that it is not new that he sees often brand new car tires lasting only about 15,000miles or even less.

All tires have been losing air. Have to put air in tires everyday. One tire also has a bulge or bubble. Tires have only been used for 22,000 miles.

On august 30th 2008 i purchased a new nissan sentra.on september 4th 2008 i took the car in for the dealership to reset the tire sensor.on september 26, 2008.i took the car in again for the tire pressure they again reset the sensor.i was told "they were sensitive".the car has been in a total of 5 times for the tire pressure sensor.my tires have completely gone flat.i have two broken rims.the dealership has refused to replace the tires but has replaced the sensors.they are currently looking for used rims to replace my broken rims.i have 26,000 miles on my car.i had my car inspected september 1, 2010.they informed me my tires needed replaced.the nissan dealership told me they would not replace the tires but continue to look for used rims.these problems started 5 days following the purchase of my new nissan sentra.

I took the tire to the bridgestone dealer . He said it looked like the tire was damaged(it was not,it just split apart) and said he would send it to the corporate office to be evaluated. This was a month and a half ago with no response. I am afraid this will happen again.

Purchased 2007 toyota camry with 17k miles on july 3rd, 2007.on 12/28/2007 had to replace the tires at 29k miles due to lack of tire tread.the tires should last at least for 40-50k since that is their tread warranty.when researching tirerack.com, there were numerous complaints on these tires, bridgestone turanza el400.(at least 90+ complaints just on this website.)the cost to replace was $433 versus what bridgestone/firestone warranty quote of $469.

The contact owns a 2006 honda civic.the vehicle has bridgestone turanza el400, size p225/60r16 tires.while driving 40-45 mph, the vehicle would bounce and make a roaring sound.the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the two rear tires had to be replaced.the contact was informed that the tread was worn and uneven at an angle because they had not been rotated regularly.the contact has the tires available, if needed.the current mileage was 21,737 and failure mileage was 21,237.

Tires worn to a dangerous level, 2/32nds of an inch, in 18,500 miles.

The contact owns a 2007 toyota camry.the vehicle has bridgestone turanza el400, size p225/60r16 tires.the contact stated that there was no tread remaining on the two front tires.she spoke with bridgestone and they were uninterested in the failure.the dot number and powertrain were unknown.the current and failure mileages on the tires and vehicle were 13,000.

Front tires are significantly worn after 8,000 miles.they have very little traction on wet pavement.the tires simply spin when starting from a dead stop.

I bought a new 2006 honda civic ex and took delivery in july 2006. From the time of delivery of the vehicle, it was noticeable that the rear end or rear tires of the honda civic were very noisy. I rotated my tires at each factory recommended oil change.at 30k miles, they were worn out.my service person showed me the uneven wear (flat spots).the road noise is unbearable. I was able to locate a service bulletin from acura - a division of honda. The service bulletin 05-076 dated january 19, 2007 stated that the acura 2004 & 2005 had an issue with "premature rear tire wear". The problem was described as: "the rear tires are wearing prematurely (unevenly across the tread). Probable cause: the rear toe increases when the vehicle is loaded" the description and pictures of tire wear in this service bulletin exactly match what i found in my 2006 honda civic. I frequently check the air tire pressure to ensure even wear.there are multiple internet postings noting an issue with the camber/toe adjustments.i believe such premature wear constitutes a definite safety hazard. Honda should do the "right thing" and correct this problem.putting on new tires will yield the same results without some correction.

Thank you

Broken belt with only 20k miles makes the tire susceptible to blow-out and unsafe to drive. Dealer says bridgestone attributes it to driver striking a hard object.so sad, this is the first broken belt i've had in my 40 years of driving.

Smith

Tires rotated every service (5k miles), brigestone turanza's es400, cupping @ 20,000 miles.
