Traveling at posted speed on curved road in rain. Applied brakes coming into the turn, but tires lost traction and vehicle spun around and slid onto a dirt embankment with shrubs and small trees.neither the front or side air bags deployed and i hit my head against the driver's side window.i do not believe the tires that are provided are suitable for wet pavement.

On september 30, 2010, i purchased a 2008 chrysler sebring from a dealership in plymouth, wi. The car had 19,204 miles on it. The car also had bridgestone turanza tires. I took my car into tires plus for an oil change at 22,700 miles on the dash. I was told by the technician that i needed new tires, because my tires had 3/32 of tread on them. On january 28, 2011, there was a recall on the car so gandrud installed a auto trans shift lever interlock spring.they also checked tire pressure and set tire pressure. A about a month later, i started having trouble with getting my key out of the ignition switch. Having to wiggle the steering column to get it out. I took the car back to gandrud to have them check it and they told me nothing was wrong with it. On may 11, 2011, i took my car in for another oil change and tire rotation. Gandrud told me i had 4/32 tread on the tires at 30,026 miles. On june 24, 2011, i took it back to gandrud for another oil change at 33,572 miles on the dash and was told i had 4/32 of tire tread left on the tires. It was not two months later, i moved to milwaukee, wi. On august 18, 2011, amato hyundai was running a special for $12.00 an oil change. I went got an oil change and the technician there told me i needed to get new tires for the car. He stated at this time i had less than 2/32 of tread on my tire. I got a quote from the service guy, decided i can beat that price.set-up an appointment with tires plus for four tires an alignment. Unfortunately, i did not make it to get my new tires on the car. On september 03, 2011, i was involved in a car accident on the freeway. I was traveling in far left lane, maneuvering to the middle lane when my steering wheel and my tires were no longer functioning together. I almost lost my life that day, but god so fit for me to live to tell about it. It was the most shocking day of my life. I thank god i am here to make a complaint. These dealerships can't continue to scam us this way.it's not worth our life.

I'm writing to detail my issues with my 07 toyota camry v6. I have had it one year and the hesitation upon accelerating is still there even after a supposed 'fix' by my selling dealer.the tranny sometimes hesitates as much as 2-3 seconds b4 actually moving forward as intended.i also have extreme frustration with the interior plastics.the dash rattles more than my old 97 pontiac.the other major issue is the softness of the driver seat foam.i am due in2 days for a re-foaming of the seat.hopefully that will firm it up a bit.one last point is the tires wore out by 13k on them making me spend over $300.00 for new rubber. Not acceptable for a $25,000 car.

Vehicle has 29000 miles. All tires are worn out and had to be replaced per toyota dealer inspection. Bought 4 tires at bridgestone (original tire manufacturer). Bridgestone said all 4 struts are leaking and might have contributed to the premature tire worn out. Toyota's response is: warranty is 3 yrs or 36000 miles which ever comes first, and vehicle turned 3 yrs in july 09. Therefore it is not under warranty. It is quite a coincidence that all struts started leaking right after vehicle turned 3 yrs and therefore not under warrant any more even though vehicle still has 6000 miles to reach 36000 miles.

2011 toyota camry. Consumer writes in regards to problem with vehicle tires *tgwthe consumer stated while having his 25,000 mile service check-up, the dealer informed him the tires needed to be replaced.the dealer stated the tires were showing signs of wear and indicated there was tire cupping as well, which was due to the vehicle being out of alignment.

Extremely severe tire ware on rear tires of 2007 honda civic, 12,000 miles and the rear tires are worn to the belts on inside edge. Rear alignment appears to be wrong from the factory. Have been told by american honda that there may be an issue with the rear control arms.

2008 civic coupe lx with bridgestone el 400 tires began shaking and vibrating at 13,000 miles.regular maintenance and tire rotations are on record, yet zimmerman honda in rock island, il claims that the uneven tire wear and subsequent second set of tires to be replaced are my fault and will be at my expense.i did a little research and discovered that the '06 and '07 civics have a service bulletin for the "c" arm leading to uneven tire wear.obviously the problem was never fixed during the assembly for the newer models of honda civics.car is now at 27,000 miles, needing new tire again!!!!!cost so far is $600 and i am very unhappy with honda and its dealers.i feel as if i am getting the runaround and am made to feel as if their manufacturers defects are my fault.if the problem is not resolved i will take my business (8 cars my family has purchased from honda since 2000 and 27 recommendations since 2002) somewhere else.very disappointed with honda!i guess someone will have to die before they admit any guilt in this.

I have a 2010 camry le which i purchased three weeks ago. The car has bridgestone turanza el 400-02 tires, which had 689 miles on them. The rear driver side tire failed at 60 mph when the tread split. After reading all the similar complaints by other toyota car owners, i believe these tires are dangerous. After a very ugly discussion with the dealership, the one tire was replaced, but toyota would not replace the remaining three.

2014 vw jetta has been experiencing problems with low tires and handling issues while driving on dry, wet or extreme heat conditions.this car has been serviced by the dealer since its purchase 13-nov-2013 and wasn't until 1-may-2015 that we noticed 3 of the 4 tires have sidewalls which have separated and come apart on the side of the tire as well as in multiple places of the tire.the tires have 20,000 miles are in great condition and have problems with the sidewalls only.seems to be a recurring issue i have noticed with these tires and i am having them all replaced!

Purchased the bridgestone turanza el400-02 after 20,000 miles had a flat. Took the tire back to where purchased and they said they didn't see any reason for the flat and the tire had cracks inside the tire and also all the tires needed to be replaced because there wasn't any tread left on them. These are rated for 80,000 miles and should last longer than 1/4 of the rated mileage. These tires are dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell them.

Tire wear too soon.

I purchased bridgestone turanza tires from toyota in december 2010. Today, 4/25/2011, while driving at 65 or 70 mph (no debris or potholes) the tire failed and caused a blowout.tire's dot number: obx8pm6-3710.215/60r16only about 5000 miles had been driven since the tire was first installed.went to dealer and replaced the tire for free. Toyota did not know why the tire failed, but both road side assistance and the dealer did not find any evidence of puncture or road related damaged.this is not a toyota issue, but i believe that bridgestone should do a recall if its tires are failing after only about 5000 miles.i have 3 of the same tires plus the replacement turanza tire on my car which i am extremely uneasy about now. I would like to see an investigation into this matter by bridgestone and gov.'t regulatory agencies.i am very lucky that i wasn't killed today.

My 2007 buick lucerne, cxs with bridgestone turanza el400-02 245/50/18 99h tires equipped, vibrates on the road at highway speeds. It is really dangerous cornering and outright unstable driving. I had my tires balanced at discount tire at, no improvement. I went to arnie bauer dealer who road forced balanced them and found 2 bad tires. They replaced these 2 bad tires, slight improvement but still vibrations. They stated "no more they could do for my car" and "this is just how these cars ride." i opened gm service ticket 71-609196985. Amada borg,gm customer service, worked with a gm area rep. For il. I was denied to speak directly with the rep. Gm had to go along with arnie bauer's evaluation, and the rep stated they could not get me new tires. I then did some searching on the internet and found a forum on edmunds.com(http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f0f60b1/0). There are 18 or more pages detailing folks nightmare with the same issue i am having. It appears many folks are having vibration issues with the lucerne. Some folks had the issue resolved with tire changes to michelin hx mxm4 tires. I sent this information to gm and had it added to my service request file. Next i went to bill kay to see if they could help me. They did a tire balance and i still have a vibration. They stated they could not get me the michelin tires. This issue will lead to some catastrophic event if not addressed.all i really wanted was the dealer to replace the tires with michelins as it seems to solve many others' problems. I think gm or bridgestone needs to be investigated on this. Also, i went to 2 dealerships and test drove 4 brand new 2008 lucernes and they all vibrate even worse than my car. They all have the same tires. I spent too much money for a car to ride so poorly and then be told this is how it was designed. More importantly, i think this needs to be addressed before someone looses control and has a serious accident.

When i purchased my 2007 camry le it came equipped with bridgestone turanza el 400 02 tires.i have followed the recommended service and brought the car to my dealer for servicing.at 24000 miles the tires tread was worn to under 2/32nds of an inch and the tires are completely unsafe to drive on.i filed a claim with an authorized bridgestone dealer which was denied on the basis that the tires are original equipment.i have received no compensation from either the toyota dealer or bridgestone.no tire that has been properly maintained should have such a short tread life.this is unacceptable.

The tire sensor light would come on and i would have to put air in the tires every other day.with only 40,000 miles and they are rated for 80,000, i had them checked by a tire store.they found a bubble on the inside & outside wall. They also found what appeared to be slash marks on the inside of the tire. Would not let me drive away without signing a release stating that i was aware of the condition. Nissan dealer is no help, they just direct me to bridgestone. Tires were rotated on schedule by the dealer.

I bought a new 2013 honda accord 2dr ex-l v6 off the floor of the dealership on april 1, 2014.the dealer had changed the standard 18 in wheels to 19's and the standard good year tires to brivery dgestone turanza el 400 02's.after i had put about 3,500 miles on the car, a small staple (1/16 in deep) punctured one tire just between the wall and the tread, and the wall failedand it ran flat.i took it back to the dealer and they said there was no warranty on these tires.there was a good year tire warranty booklet in the glove box but no bridgestone booklet for the turanza's.when i put the spare tire on to take the car back to the dealer, i learned that the spare was mounted on a 17 in rim and was not a low profile tire like the turanza's. My complaints are (1) the 17 inch standard tire for a spare when it is 2 inches smaller than the other tires and is not a low profile.i am worried that if i drive very far on the spare i will damage running gear or break an axle due to these differences. (2) all the turanza's on the honda say they were made in japan and when i tried to register the tires on line with bridgestone, it asked for a city and dot.the dot is ejn1jhe3612 but there is no city on the tire so can't register it.the bridgestone website lists locations of manufacturing plants but none are listed in japan.am i running knock-off bridgestone tires? and (3) the tire failed at the intersection between the wall and the tread from a very small staple that barely stuck to the rubber and it should not have were it made to industry standards. Thank you

The contact owns a 2013 toyota corolla equipped with bridgestone turanza el400-02 tires, size: p205/55r16. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle began to drive like one of the tires was flat. Suddenly, the rear passenger tire detached from the vehicle and the tire pressure indicator illuminated. The contact stated that she had to constantly place air in the tires. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic (dracut tire shop, inc., 1269 lakeview ave, dracut, ma 01826 (978) 957-0782), but was not diagnosed. All four tires were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that no recall was associated with the vin. The dot number was unavailable. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 14,000.

I am currently having issues with the rear tires on my 2006 honda civic ex. Once my vehicle reached roughly 17,000 miles, i started to hear excessive road noise coming from the rear tires. Not thinking much about it, at roughly 20,000 miles, the sound was getting worse. I made an appointment at the local honda dealership and they told me that my rear tires had a flat spot on each tire. They said that it looked like someone had pulled the emergency brake at high speed. I drove it for 500 miles more and could not take the loud humming coming from the rear of my vehicle. At this point i decided to replace the tires. The mechanic said that it looks like there is an issue with the suspension. There were many (8) flat spots on only the rear tires.

2007 camry xle with bridgestone turanza el 400-02 tires. Size 215/60-16.tires started making "road noise" at 18,000mi and getting progressively worse at 23,000. Dealer said it's because of hard rubber composite used in mfg of tire and offered to pay for 2 if i pay for 2 of another brand tire.

Sidewall tearing apart in two sections as well as center treads contain severe cracking.

The turanza el400 02 tires came standard on my new 2011 volkswagen jetta. The tires have a vibration at 40-40 mph. Dealer says it is the tires. The vibration gets better with driving, but never completely goes away. Vibration is at its worst after the car has been sitting for several hours took the car tothe dealer on 2 separate service calls, they re balanced and rotated the tires for me. This was no help took the car to firestone to no avail, the manager says that there's no way there can be a vibration from the tire at that speed. I assure you there is. I am very disappointed with firestone disconcern with my safety.

I have a 2008 toyota camry le which was purchased in oct 2007. The car currently has 22241 miles. It has had mainly highway miles (about 20miles) a day and already in two years, the tires (bridgestone turanza el400-02) size 215/60/16 have almost no tire tread left. The usual warranty on these tires should be 50k miles. Contacted both toyota and bridgestone and nobody is willing to help out. Several complaints on all forums regarding this tire can be found online, but still both companies are playing the blame game, bridgestone and toyota know that they have been using these sub-standard parts. I will have to now replace the tires and pay out of my pocket for something which a new car owner should not (so early in the cars life), else it is a safety hazard on the road. I hope this complaint is looked into (several other complaints on forums) and not ignored. Both toyota and bridgestone need to stop cheating and putting customers in danger.

Was washing my car and notice that all 4 tires have cracks all the way around the tire.i have a 2007 nissan sentra with only 12,000 miles, i bought the car new in dec. 2006.i went to nissan dealer, they said it is just dry rot, but it nothing they can do eventually i'll need new tires.went to firestone/bridgestone and they seem unconcern, just that it is the environment in which we live with the cold then heat which dry the tires out.my concern is i only had these tires just a little over 2 years and not 4 or 5 the life time of these tires, they should no be cracking like this.please look into this matter, i feel that have been sold a car with bad tires.

The contact owns a 2012 nissan sentra with the original bridgestone turanza el400-02 tires, size: p205/55r16.the contact stated that while the vehicle was in for maintenance at the dealer, he was advised that all four tires was defective in the tire walls. The tires were replaced.the manufacturer was notified of the defect.the approximate failure mileage of the tires and the vehicle was 22,000.

I took my 2007 camry for 25,000 (at 23,000) miles service.i was told that i needed new tires.i questioned it and was told 'you have to take some responsibility, too' i take my car in consistently do pretty much what is suggested to me as part of preventive care and i have all the bills to prove it, mentioned this to the service person, and talked to manager and was told that yes i needed the new tires.this was "normal" wear and tear. I sure was not ready for such a large expense.as i was researching for what kind of tires to buy, i found that many 2007 camry owners have had the same problem!also i found that there is a leakage problem with the bridgestone tires, and checking my service bills, i see that i had taken my car in to have the pressure lights checked, because i would add air to my tires and few weeks after i would have the light come on again.all this is documented and now i am furious that i was not told of this problem.thankfully, i am not on the highway driving ant 55+ miles an hour, as i work near my home.i hate to think of the outcome.when i have taken my son back to school, is when the pressure light would come on most often.now it all makes sense! since i took the car in, the pressure lights have not come on, i now wonder if that option has been disabled?obviously, i have not yet changed the tires, as it is very expensive to buy all four at the same time.i was hopping the dealer would give me a break.

Slow leak of air pressure.i had to keep adding air.local bridgestone tire people said it was because it was installed incorrectly.they took it off rim and the bead was torn.

Bridgestone turanza 400-02 235/40 19 tire tread separated from the side wall exposing steel belts. The first one at 19k miles / 12/21/2019 (thought it was just a bad tire and bought another from sterling mccall lexus in houston texas) the second at 23k miles 05/28/2020. Now that's a problem. Purchase the care from sterling mccall lexus pre owned with new tires on the car. Talked to several lexus service members and they are aware of the problem and three lexus vehicles have this tire issue (lexus gs, rc and is vehicles and they will not do anything about it.

I bought a toyota sienna 2011, on march 6, 2010.currently it's got 20,354 miles and the run flat bridgestone turanza el 400, p235/55rf18 tires are bald.rear right tire, i can see the metal underneath the tread and it's got zero pressure, rear left tire has no tread left and the front 2 tires got very little tread left.the tires were rotated on 6/7/2010 and 12/27/2010.

I have a 2008 honda civic coupe.after 15,000 miles the rear tires had to be replaced due to a loud rumbling noise that the mechanic said was separated belts.i have read other complaints on this issue and the outcome was honda pointing fingers at bridgestone and vice-versa.do i have any recourse with the car company or tire manufacturer?

We purchased the vehicle in 2007 and it was original equipment tires. The car tires were fine the first winter. The next winter in 2008 i started noticing the car was having issues when there was very little snow on the drive way or road. The car was slippery and the front two tries just had problems. This winter i almost would have been ran over by another car while this car tires just would not move and slipped and was in between two lanes. I finally changed the tires when i had 2500 miles only in my car. My husband called toyota dealer and spoke with them and they blame bridestone. I had to get the car on the road side and the police had to remove my car as it was unable to be driven.i hope you look at the tirerack website for other people having the same kind of issues. The tires just get stuck and don't budge. Also please do something about this. This is a rip off to consumers to change tires when the car is just 2 yrs old. Thanks.

The contact owns a 2006 toyota camry solara.the vehicle has bridgestone turanza el400-02, size p215/55r17 tires.while driving approximately 66 mph, the contact suddenly noticed white smoke coming from the front passenger side tire.the vehicle then felt as if it were riding on the rim.he pulled to the side of the road and discovered that the tire was almost completely melted.he also noticed rubber debris on the ground and that the fender had black marks.when the tire cooled down, he placed the spare tire on the vehicle. The contact has not yet brought the tire to the dealer. The current and failure mileages were 7,800.the firestone dealer stated the tread punctured, pressure was lost and heat burned out the sidewall. Updated 11/15/07.

Daughter driving home on i-81 in va and rear driver tire blew out. The toyota camry (2007) is only 3 months old and has 6,00 miles. She says she checked before leaving and was going 70-75mph. It was 4 am about 75 f. I believe it is a faulty tire: bridgestone turanza el 400 02 p215 60r16 94 v m+s. She ended up in a ditch, it was that or hitting a truck. Ambulances, fire and police responded but thankfully she was not hurt. The car suffered front plastic bumper damage.

I have a 2010 camry le which i purchased three weeks ago. The car has bridgestone turanza el 400-02 tires, which had 689 miles on them. The rear driver side tire failed at 60 mph when the tread split. After reading all the similar complaints by other toyota car owners, i believe these tires are dangerous. After a very ugly discussion with the dealership, the one tire was replaced, but toyota would not replace the remaining three.

Tire wear too soon.

Extremely severe tire ware on rear tires of 2007 honda civic, 12,000 miles and the rear tires are worn to the belts on inside edge. Rear alignment appears to be wrong from the factory. Have been told by american honda that there may be an issue with the rear control arms.

Purchased toyota solara aug, 2007. Tires are @ 15k miles and the tread is shot. I contacted toyota and they stated see manufacturer for warranty. Toyota stated they would sell me new tires and then warranty treadwarte. Went to bridestone dealer and they would not honor tread warranty. So basically if you buy a new car you get no tire warranty. I think this is consumer fraud.
