I own a 2006 vw jetta tdi and have 30,000 miles on the vehicle.i noticed at about 25,000 miles the vehicle developed a vibration in the front end.i took it to the vw dealer and had the front end inspected for problems, but none noted.i had the wheel rotated and balanced and that did not help the problem.the tech at vw dealer noticed wear in the middle of the tire.he stated that my tires (turanza el 400-02, 205/55r16) are more than likely the cause of the vibration and there is nothing they could do except replace all the tires.will be taking the vehicle to a firestone dealer soon to fight the battle with them.

The contact owns a 2009 honda civic. The vehicle was equipped with bridgestone turanza el400 tires, size 205/55/r16. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph and felt a severe vibration accompanied by a whining noise from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that both the rear driver and passenger tires were out of round and exhibited significant cupping. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000. The dot number was 0bt2 pm23208updated 05/08/12*ljthe consumer had all four tires replaced.

At 13000 miles my rear tires on a 4 month old car were so worn ,(flat spots) that in the near future i feel they would be a future road hazard possibly causing an accident or death. In my little bit of research on internet this is a on going problem for years. Dealer replaced my back tires after several trips to different repair, tire shops. Even when some shops put it in writing that excessive wear was due to mechanical failure they still said nothing wrong with car. I have a feeling i'll be back to dealer before 5000 mi more for same thing. This is truly and unsafe situation for people when if they listen to dealer and they tell them nothings wrong when clearly something is causing the uneven wear.

I heard a loud humming noise coming from the tires on the rear drivers side. The dealer replaced the rear hub and the noise stopped for about 8-10 thousand miles. I later found that they had issued a recall.i brought the car back and this time they had to replaced the upper control arms. Honda issued a service bulletin on this problem and i am reading many complaints on edmund's internet sight complaining about the same issue on the 2006-2007 civics.the problem with the suspension ruined the tires on the car and caused an unsafe condition. The dealer did change the upper control arms but the car continues to make noise in the rear. The dealer tells me its the tires and the cupping in the tires is the fault of the tire, not the car which it not true.i called honda and they refuse to replace the tires but admitted that they have a problem with the upper control arms on their cars. Are they waiting for someone to get killed when atire blows out to notify people of the problem?

On wednesday, june 11, 2008 i was driving from mar vista, ca to san leandro, ca with my 4 year old son and 20 year old sister in law.we were on the 580 w driving in the far left lane at 65mph at 11:30 am when we heard an explosion in the rear of the car. The car began veering toward theright. I tried to pull over into the emergency lane, but the car keep veering toward the right and we hit the center divide.the car was perpendicular to the divide. We were in dublin, ca near the tassajara rd. Exit.when we inspected the car, the right rear tire was blown through.the side walls were intact, but the whole tread of the tire was notconnected to the side wall.this also caused the right rear splash guard to detach from the car and the rear bumper was slightly detached. My car is a 2007 honda civic coupe ex and it had about 8300 miles. I purchased the car in july 2007.the crash caused significant damage to the front left side of my car. The car is now at a body shop and is being repaired in san leandro, ca. We have the defective tire.

2008 bridgestone turanza el400p21560r1694voriginal tires on my 2008 toyota camry hybridtoday mileage is 198732/32 and 3/32left on all 4 tirestire pressure and rotations timelythese are the worst tires i have ever hadpoor wear, should last at least 30k miles.

My daughter was off to school, probably going 50 mph when the sidewall of her bridgestone turanza el 400 tire blew out.we bought this car new and it had only 5300 miles on her 2013 scion xd.looking over at other complaints that bridgestone has similar problems on other tires.have there been any other complaints on these tires?it seems this should not happen at any mileage of tire much less a tire with 5300 miles on it.

I had to replace bridgestone turanza el 400 tires with only 22k miles on them. We kept the tires rotated and balanced, but still had problems with air loss.we have a 2008 nissan sentra that was purchased new in 12/2007. We started having problems with those tires within a few months. The tires probably had about 3000 miles on them at the time it started.at first we thought it was just a faulty sensor, but found out otherwise. The car rode very rough and the tires were always loud. The dealer blamed it on a nail, did a cheap patch job and then later denied they patched it and refused to replace the tire. The sensors are worthless too. The low tire light would come on and the car would start bouncing around and we realized it was time again. Finally after 1 1/2 years of problems and taking it to the dealer we finally had enough and replaced the tires at a tire store. Anyone with these tires should do a google search of "bridgestone turanza problems" and "bridgestone turanza el400 complaints". I have seen complaints from toyota, bmw, mercedes, honda and nissan owners about these tires. There is a problem.there are numerous complaints on the internet about these tires.our problem started within 3 months of buying the car.

Our 2008 honda civic coupe developed a road noise in the rear tires at about 12k miles. Tires have been rotated every 5k and i have service order requests to back this up. At 15kmiles the noise had gotten unbearable. I asked my local mechanic to check and see if there was anything obvious before i took it to the honda dealer and he noted that the rear tires appeared to have the belts slipped and that the right tire appeared worn out. I called honda and they directed me to bridgestone who told me the tires were worn out because honda has a chassis problem and that the tires were not warranted for wear. Honda said there is no technical issues with their suspension and they couldn't help me. So i have a car with tires that are worn out at 15k miles and i have no recourse but to eat it and hope that the next set of tires wears better. This is unsafe inmy opinion. Poot tire wear can only come from so many things. I have air pressure monitoring system, so it wasn't improper inflation, the vehicle is new so it isn't suspension issues, the tires were rotated twice in first 10k miles (documented).i guess having unsafe tires on a one year old automobile is not a big deal for honda, but it is for me. Having a 1 year old auto in the drive way that we are scared to drive out of the neighborgood isn't a good thing.

Toyota camry with 20,000 miles tires have tread separation and pulls hard to the left.alignment did not help.repair shop identified the tire problem.

Driving new 2010 honda civic (3,000 miles) on 95 to pbi airport on 11/19/10.rear passenger tire blew out. Bridgestone turanza el400 p205/55r16.

The failure mileage was 19,300. *lnthe consumer submitted photos.

Tire failures- three sidewall blowoutsafter small pothole impacts first in february 2014 ( 30-35mph- pot hole about 4 inches deep) second- two tiresjuly 4th2014 (60 mph- pot hole about 2" deep) no rim damage or other component damage.

On my 2006 scion tc i currently equipped with bridgestone turanza el 400 tire size: 215/45zr17.the problem that i've encountered is the tread is separating from the side walls on both front tires and i can feel that the rear tires are starting to do the same.fortunately for me i spotted this defect before an incident occurred.currently the cords are exposed on top of the tires.they almost feel like the tires where recapped and are now separating.i just noticed it today 28 nov 2008 and i'll have to replace the tires tomorrow.i only have approx. 25,000 miles on these specific tires and they are rated for 80,000 miles.this is a potential safety/recall issue that needs to be addressed immediately especially if occurring to others.please inform if a recall is present for these tires.thank you!!!

I have a new 2007 toyota camry hybrid.the car was purchased in july 2007 and i currently have just over 10,000 miles.i brought it in for an oil change (at goodyear) and they informed me that my front tires are down to 3/32".when i took it to toyota, they basically told me it was my fault.

We were driving our 2013 toyota avalon on i-10 in heavy traffic.after stopping for gas, we reentered the highway and the low tire pressure light came on. Before we could pull over, the right front tire blew out; the entire interior sidewall separated.we had not hit any pothole or any other object.thankfully, my husband was able to maintain control of the vehicle and didn't swerve into the 18 wheeler next to us.the mechanic informed us that the bridgestone tires toyota had placed on the vehicle had been downgraded from a 40k mile tire to a 0 mile tire.the vehicle had only 15,143 miles on it and was less than a year old.a second tire (left rear tire) was also too dangerous to continue to use (as it looked like the interior sidewall on that one was also about to separate) so we had to replace that tire as well that day.we will be replacing the other two now and will never again buy any bridgestone or firestone product.the absolutely substandard quality of their products placed the lives of our entire family at risk. My daughters often drive this vehicle and one of them will be taking it to college in the fall.i would hate to think of what would have happened if one of our kids had been behind the wheel when this tire blew out without warning.it is inexcusable that bridgestone would put out such poor quality products, representing them to be a 40k mile tire, then downgrade the mileage on the tires without notifying owners and get away with that type of activity.we always maintain our vehicles and the tires were rotated and vehicle alignment checked all per normal scheduled maintenance.tires are bridgestone turanza el 400, p225/45r18 91v m+s, dot obrr pm1 0313.

Pre-mature tire wear on my2009 toyota camry le sedan.

The road surface was dry. There was a loud thumping noise coming from the rear tires. The vehicle began to shake violently and slide. The authorized dealer was notified of the failures. The technician stated that the tires required replacement with an alignment. The vehicle has not been repaired nor have the tires been replaced. The failure mileage was 27,000. The current mileage was 27,215. Updated 05/12/10 updated 05/14/10.

I purchased my honda civic on 12/31/08.on or around the beginning of may 2009, i had my tires rotated at 9532 miles.on may 22, 2009 at 9595 miles, i had them computer balanced and rotated again.there was a thumping noise that was occurring whenever i tried to stop.had a tire replaced due to unsuccessful repair of flat (at 10,515 miles). At 11,016 miles, i was back at honda again.had to have a second tire replaced due to tread wear and warping.both of these tires had initially been on the rear axle of the car when it was purchased.in july of 2009, at 14652 miles, i had tires rotated again.two new front tires went to back axle.on 12/22/09, went to have tires rotated and balanced again due to rough riding (mileage 25148).had to have two new tires (replaced by honda) replaced again.tires were on the rear axle, and were worn completely smooth after only ~14,500 miles.again, on february 23, 2010, went to have tires rotated again (mileage 29834).back two tires were worn completely smooth again.goodyear tire company put this quote on my receipt, "no rotation due to tire wear in the rear.rear tires are at 2/32."on february 25, i took the honda civic to the nearest honda dealer (round rock, tx ~ 58 miles away).had called ahead and made appointment, telling the service manager what the problem was.he called me at 12:45 and told me that they had put the car on the alignment rack and the car was not out of alignment, and that this was just natural tread wear due to my "driving".after getting home this evening, i began researching the bridgestone turanza el400 tires online.there are numerous consumer complaints for the same exact problem that i am having.i find it quite odd that honda says no one else has complained, but there are so many complaints posted online about these same tires.i find them to be a safety hazard.i have to drive under 55 mph if it is raining. If i do not, my car hydroplanes all over the road.this is a hazard.

I have a 2009 toyota camry le that i have owned for less than two years. Currently has less than 13,000 miles. The 40,000 mile bridgestone turanza tires, size 215/60/16 that came with this car, have worn down to 5/32 within 18 months.that is 1/2of the tread gone.minimal city driving with very little freeway driving.always properly inflated and rotated every 5,000 miles .i have had to replace the tires.i did not replace them through the toyota dealership.i purchased quality tires elsewhere.it is ridiculous that a consumer spends over $20,000 for a vehicle and must replace the tires with so few miles.after reading all of the negative reports about these tires from consumers,i did not complain to toyota or bridgestone, because it is apparently a lost cause.i am totally disgusted with toyota and the poor quality they have been selling over the past few years.

Was driving home from work which is no longer than a 5 minute drive.it was heavy rain outside.about 2 minutes from my home, my low tire light went on.very soon after my tire went flat.i pulled to the curb in front of my home.the tire rolled off my car and the rim hit the ground, destroying the rim.my sentrais a 2015 with 9000 miles on it, well maintained.how does this happen.should this be a warranty item or recall?repairs fro rim and tire came to $600.00.

I purchased a new set of bridgestone tires in february 2010 that were rated at 80,000 miles.i had them rotated on a regular basis.i just went in for another tire rotation which discount tire refused to perform due to the unsafe condition of my tires.i only got 36,982 miles out of the bridgestone tires, which were supposed to be rated at 80,000 miles.in addition to the fact that i did not get even close to the number of miles rated on the tires, i found out that bridgestone had changed the rating on the tires to 0 miles.i am disappointed that bridgestone did not inform me, as the customer, of this quality/safety concern on the tires.instead i had to hear of the problem with the tires from discount tire at the time of rotation.lastly, the fact that bridgestone changed the rating on the tires from 80,000 miles to 0 miles is an acknowledgement from the bridgestone company that there is a wear concern with these tires. Discount tire informed me that bridgestone would only give me credit for $37.00 toward the purchase of each new tire.a wear concern such as this would make me expect a recall notice and new tires would be provided to me at the expense of bridgestone.this is a safety issue and i am appalled at bridgestone's conduct.obviously bridgestone does not stand behind their tires. I have done my part and rotated the tires on the schedule: rotated: september 2010 at 56,018, rotated:march 2011 at 64729, rotated: may 2011 at 67,866, rotated: september 2011 at 74,296, new tires purchased: march 2012 at 83,620.

The contact owns bridgestone turanza tires on a 2007 toyota avalon. While driving 45 to 70 mph all four tires began shaking, as if they were out of round. Instability while driving increased the risk for a crash. The contact stated that the failure was caused by the way the tires were balanced by sams club. The failure mileage was 57,500 and the current mileage was 58,000.

I heard a loud humming noise coming from the tires on the rear drivers side. The dealer replaced the rear hub and the noise stopped for about 8-10 thousand miles. I later found that they had issued a recall.i brought the car back and this time they had to replaced the upper control arms.

Cpsc: i1280026a. 2012 mazda 5. Consumer stated that his car would hydroplane when he drove in rain, due to the type of tires on the vehicle. *lnthe consumer was informed the tires needed a better design to channel the rain out from underneath them. The consumer purchased a new set of tires.

The tire pressure warning light came on three times in a three week period.i added air the first two times and the light went off.i did not add air, but went to the dealer on the third occasion.the service writer said that the tire pressures were low, that air was added and the warning light was reset.tires are oem bridgestone turanza 205/55-16 on a 2009 nissan sentra.

While driving 30 mph, the tire pressure warning light illuminated and the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The contact pulled to the roadside and exited the vehicle to observe the tires. The contact mentioned that the front passenger side rim and tire were severely damaged. The tire was the original equipment. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle and tire failure mileage was 2,000. The dot number was not available.

I purchased a new 2007 toyota camry in may 2006.i have had the tires, bridgestone turanza el-400 ,rotated regularly since purchasing the car.ihave problems with the tires squealing upon breaking and noticed that the tire treads are wearing prematurely.i took the car to the dealerwhere i purchased the car and abridgestone dealer who advised that the tires were not wearing evenly but they could be replaced at a fee of over $400.i presently have 12,300 miles on my car and the tires need to be replaced.

The right rear bridgestone tire on my 2010 lexus 350 is c blew out without any warning on the free way on 2/13/2013. The whole tire is shredded and only a small amount of tread remains on the very lip pf the wheel. The tire size bridgestone turanza el400 255/40r18, dot el 3a dan1510.i almost had an accident on the freeway.

I have a 2007 camry le,. Vehicle has 14,500 miles. About 1 yr ago started noticing undue wear and shallow tread on all 4 tires. Note, only selling dealer has done maintenance on this car including tire rotations, alignments, etc.in jan '09, brought car for oil change; svceman said the car needed 4 new tires; actually wrote on their inv #793696 'customer declines tires'.i questioned how this could be, why no tread left, mileage at that time was 12125; said, ' florida roads are very hard on tires.'i've lived here for 20 years, third toyota, never had this problem before. Dlr detailed inspection report of jan 8, 09w/ diagram states all four tires had 3/32" or less tread. Car has warranty;my daughter bought me the car, purchased full svce contract for three years, ins carrier won't listen. I am 63 on june 22, have multiple sclerosis, ss income only, cannot afford tires and on principle should not have to.searched web for info about this issue; too voluminous to read.how can all four tires on a vehicle with 12125 miles, never involved in an accident, never hit anything have virtually no tread left?i'm about ready to go directly to southeast toyota headquarters in atlanta with the help of legal aid.one entry on the web actually said, why doesn't toyota charge another 2 or 3009and put decent tires on the car.if these carsare sold in the state of florida, doesn't someone have the responsibility of supplying the vehicle with compatible equipment? over the past months i've become aware of other '07 camrys in parking lots, etc.; have actually pulled over to look at tires.without exception, ifbridgestone, some of the tread depth look lower than mine.in closing, this certainly cannot be the first you are hearing of this issue. Using jan'09 as he incident, that is when the verbal and written report was given to me by the selling dealer.at 9593 mi tread was less than 5/32. Also, failure location box only provides for one tire, isall 4.

Tire failure on a 2008 honda civic - bridgestone turanza el400 h bl 205/55r16 the consumers son was driving on the interstate, when all of a sudden he heard a loud explosion and almost lost control of the vehicle. He pulled over and discovered the tire suffered a massive blowout. The service center stated there was a piece of glass in the tire which may have caused the blowout. The consumer didn't believe that a small piece of glass would cause that kind of a blowout.

I have a 2008 honda civic ex-l. The car currently has 23,700 miles on it. I have been hearing a loud vibration noise on the back of the car for sometime now and after i just had my tires rotated, i have found that the back tires have flat spots on them. I have done some research and have found that many many other consumers are having this same complaint and have had no luck with honda in fixing the problem. From what i have researched it is because of the control arm that is making the tires wear out fast. I have contact the dealer and they state they are unaware of any such problem, which i find very hard to believe. Some people have went to other dealers and were told that honda didn't feel this was a big enough problem for a recall. Well if that is the case then why don't they fix these cars> are they waiting for deaths to occur from faulty tires? i want my car fixedit is unfortunate, but i still owe 17000 on it and i don't want to just throw that money out the window if i have to be buying tires every few months.

My 2009 toyota camry has premature tire wear on all 4 tires before20,000 miles. Firestone will not address problem nor will the dealer even though all tires were rotated according to dealers recommendations. The vehicle was purchased in march 2008.

Pre-mature tire wear on my2009 toyota camry le sedan.

My daughter was driving the mazda 3 headed east on i-94 in brookfield, wi near the moorland road exit on saturday afternoon, february 9, 2013the car was moving at about 65mph.the low tire pressure warning light came on suddenly.then a few seconds after that the steering became wobbly and the right front tire blew.she was able to get control of the car, decelerate and pull to the shoulder.the right front tire outside sidewall was completely shredded.with the help of state trooper david w. Hanson she got the tire changed.on monday, february 11, 2013 i took the car to a trusted mechanic.we found the tire valve and tire pressure sensor inside the shredded tire.the valve stem had blown into the tire.we didn't know what could have caused that.i had the mechanic, rob of erv's service in hartland, wi examine the other tires and valve stems on the remaining wheels of the car.he found another valve stem with a cracked housing that was ready to fail.i had the mechanic remove it and secure the valve stem.i retained the faulty parts.i believe the valve stem assembly failed causing the sudden loss of tire pressure, the shredding of the tire sidewall and near loss of control of the car.this could have resulted in a crash. Injuries and possibly loss of life.

My 2009 toyota camry has premature tire wear on all 4 tires before20,000 miles. Firestone will not address problem nor will the dealer even though all tires were rotated according to dealers recommendations. The vehicle was purchased in march 2008.
