My 2005 scion tc surges/lurches forward when resuming from a stop. The amount of pressure you apply to the gas pedal has no effect on how the car is going to move forward. The problem was very intermittent and hard to notice but started happening more and more often as of aug./sept. 2008. In mid sept. I almost rear ended the car in front of me taking off from a stop light. I took the car to the selling dealership and the service mgr. Went on a test drive and said he noticed the problem at least 5 times in a few mile drive. When i picked my car up 2 days later the service invoice stated "unable to duplicate" and it was recommended i have a 30,000 mile maint. Done i had just had those services done 1 month earlier and they were aware of that. It was then recommended that i switch gas stations and use high octane fuel and use a fuel injection cleaner purchased from any gas station, then if no improvement further diagnostics would be needed but no codes in the ecu. I followed the recommendations for over 2 months and no change. Went back to the same dealership and was told nothing could be done and even with an extended warranty the regional service mgr sent to "inspect" my car did not inspect it and refused to authorize the repair and submit the claim under the extended warranty. I also at this time reminded them that the speedometer does not work all the time. And when it doesn't work and the car is idling the speedometer shows a speed of 5-10 miles per hour, yet while driving shows a speed of 0. I also pointed out that the drivers side pillar airbag cover they fixed weeks ago is hanging loose. It comes off every time you shut the door. This has been repaired at least twice before. They refused to acknowledge this problem as well. My car has or is having about 95% of the items displayed in your service bulletins, seatbelts, airbags, fuel injectors, window controls, sun roof, air condition and tire pressure monitor system. And the dealership aware of all of them.

My infinity 1998 qx4 has about 88000 miles i bought a demo in jan "99 recently i had to replace the transmission at a cost of $3000.00. I took it to a nissan dealer but they said they could not waranty it because it was an infinity so i took it to an aamco. Who waranteed it for i year.i must have changed the brakepads 3 times and accept for the drivers seatbelt none of the seatbelts work, also during the first year the tires had to be replaced,i contacted infinity and learned that tires that come with new vehicles were not waranteed.this is my 4th or 5th nissan product but never again!

Vehicle failed to maintain its course under sudden steering changes originated to avoid collision with another vehicle. It spun due to either lightness of the vehicle or failed steering, and hit the guard rails.the new 2007 toyota yaris vehicle had one new bridgestone potenza re92 tire (driver side rear) replaced by the dealer earlier that day justbefore the failure occurred.the vehicle was declared a total loss.

Vehicle wanders, saftey related, been to dealer 3 tmes. Also have specific documentationupon request

Consistance steering shimmy even after tire balance rotation road force variation balance and power steering pump even a new tire

Excessive rear tire wear, bridgestone potenza re92, 225/55/17 installed on 2005 subaru outback.normal tire wear through 19k miles.rear tires completly worn out after 2k road trip with moderate vehicle loading.no signs of mis-alignment or over/under inflation.front tires remain serviceable.

Vehicle drifts to right and is experiencing very high wear on the inside of the front tires.

Tires cupping on the inner edges.loud roar when you brake from about 30 mph to a complete stop. I think is a suspension problem because the 2004 cars don't have the problem.

I have serious and repeating problems with suspension/ tires on my toyota prius 2001 car (manufactured 06/01).three times the front tires where abnormally and significantly worn (during approx 7,500 miles) with, with side and top scars etc. Toyota already changed the tires four timesbut they are unable to solve problem. However, the same problem is likely repeat itself again and again, and changing the tires is not a solution. I do not like driving on such dangerously worn tires; moreover, it is against the law to drive on tires in such condition). Car was regularly in scheduled toyota service (including tires rotation, pressure check etc.).

Experienced severe fishtailing on slightly slippery roads with a 2008 subaru outback.this was highly unusual for an all wheel drive car and i didn't have the same problem with my wife's honda cr-v that i drove on the same day on the same roads.

Bridgestone tires supplied by manufacturer had began delaminating along inside rim because rear alignment on 2003 toyota prius was incorrect.one tire was near complete failure when discovered.the question is:does the weight of the battery pack (placed immediately over the rear axle) cause the rear suspension to misalign in normal daily driving, which in turn places extreme wear on the inside of the rear tires?because the wear is on the inside of the tire, the problem may not be discovered before a blowout occurs.

Tires tread wore below legal depth prior to 20,000 miles on the tires, creating a hazard which cause my daughter to hydroplain on almost dry road - car went into a grass median taking out a sign and much damage to the vehicle.this was on a 2004 camry that was purchased new - just had it in to the dealer for an oil change and they rotated the tires - never mentioned the wear on the tires.when the tires were evaluated at the tire dealership - it was not due to improper air pressure or alignment - the wear was all over the tire.

The contact owns a 2003 subaru impreza. The vehicle was equipped with bridgestone potenza re 92 tires, tire size 205/55/16. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph on normal road conditions and heard a loud noise outside of the vehicle. The contact drove onto the emergency lane and observed that the rear passenger tire exhibited an excessive separation in the sidewall. The tire was replaced with a spare tire. The contact is in the process of purchasing two new tires. The dot number was unavailable. The failure and current mileage were 70,000.

Complain regarding bridgestone potenza tires; standard oem equipment on 2002 nissan maxima gle.this tire does not provide an adequate level of traction in any weather condition.extremely unsafe for winter driving.this tire is unsafe for both the operator of the vehicle and any one else on the road.

Purchased 2002 toyota camry xle on 4/16/02. The car was equipped with bridgestone potenza p215/60r16 94v re92 tires.experienced very poor performancethis past winter.traction very badin winter conditions and also wet roads w/o snow.brought car to the dealer for service on 4/14/04 with 19.020 miles on it and was told i had to replace the tires due to excessive tread wear.i refused to pay for four new tires and replace the front two for my own safety.i have sent a letter to bridgestone & i am awaiting a reply.other numbers on the tires were 34350 exbm 25816-2 e 92 mztread wear 160.

- the contact stated that the bridgestone tires onthe2006 toyota camry did not provide traction when it rained or snowed.when the vehicle was at a stop and pressed on the accelerator pedal the car would vibrate and make a noise.this wasnot a problem in dry conditions. There were no warning indicators.

Purchased 2006 lexus is250 w/ bridgestone potenza re92 in nov 2005 - tires do not provide adequate traction in wet or dry driving conditions.when turning right, vehicle tends not to straighten out without increased effort.ability of tire to hold up under semi-wet conditions is very bad. Tires are 3 5psi front (225 45/17) and 37 psi rear (245 45/17).

Defective bridgestone/firestone tires, request a defect invest.,for tread separation.while driving the vehicle's driver's side rear tire blewout without warning.the tire was original equipment and the vehicle had 7000 miles on the odometer.neither the dealer nor the tire manufacturer wanted to take responsibility for the tire.

Sidewall tire failure in ordinary use; 2009 subaru outback, 5500 miles, bridgestone/firestone tire failed, inner right rear sidewall fractured.no excessive driving, speed, or severe use at all.i replaced all bridgestone/firestone tires and have them available for osi/odi expert analysis.

Original tire defect discovered at 16k miles on one tire (bulge in sidewall) with no known reason (no impacts or potholes).needed to replace all 4 since it is an awd. Extreme costof $500 and put me in danger of an accident.defective tire: firestone/ bridgestone potenza re92a (dotem8kjll0309)only 16k miles on car and tires. Did prevent accident but flawed tires should be monitored for future recall of defective and unsafe products.

The consumer was driving the vehicle in the rain when it hydroplaned twice.the vehicle was losing traction easily. *scas a result when the vehicle hydroplaned, the consumer struck another vehicle.

Ref: my earlier odi #10047147 and odi #10080438.2003 camry (currently 7700 miles). Gradual right drift since purchase january 2003.a total of 10 new bridgestone 15" potenza re92 tires (including the 4 original tires that came on the new vehicle) were mounted on the car over a 4 month period.right drift was not corrected.the service manager of the toyota dealer where car was originally purchased refused to acknowledge and/or correct problem.the service manager ofsecond toyota dealer promptly acknowledged the problem, diagnosed tires as the cause, and corrected it.once tires were mounted on the vehicle that were other than bridgestone, the right drift was corrected.the vehicle now is a safe and enjoyable vehicle to drive.

Model: toyota prius 2002purchase from : putnam toyota, certified unit, june 2004failure type : tire burst on side wall of the tire, twice in 5 months.failure root cause : drive over parking curb, at less than 2 mph.failure logic : why the tire burst in such a manner, especially toyota claim, this is a special design overload pressure tire.part replace/service:both tires were replace at capitol toyota dealership.cost per incident:tire =$79.00, labor = $60.81, tire only available at toyota dealership.concern:what would happen if i drive 60 mph on freeway, and hit a bumper uneven path on the highway, would it burst as well !

I had 4 new bridgestone potenza re 92 tires mounted on my honda odyssey on july 29, 2004. One tire would not hold air. I returned to to honda service center and had tire remounted. Tire held air after remounting. In recent months, vehicle developed unexplained vibration at highway speed. Tire rotation and alignment did not correct vibration. On may 26th, 2005, the tire in question fell apart (tread seperated from sidewall) leaving me driving on the rim at about 65 mph. The tire had less than 11,000 miles on it.i was able to keep the vehicle under control and pull off into the breakdown lane. On may 27th, 2005, i had a local service center mount a used tire on the existing rim (the rim appears to have not been damaged). I've since driven the vehicle on the highway and noted that the vibration is gone. That is, the vehicle drive better on the used tire that it had been on the tire that failed. To date, bridgestone is unwilling to replace the tire under warranty because i can't provide the tire to them for inspection (it ws left on the highway in pieces.

Tires cupping on the inner edges.loud roar when you brake from about 30 mph to a complete stop. I think is a suspension problem because the 2004 cars don't have the problem.

Two original equipment bridgestone potenza tires on our subaru 2003 outback failed at 9,800 and 11,700 miles of use, within three months of each other.both started as slow leaks for about a week, which we monitored and filled. Then suddenly a big white circular split appeared in the sidewall about an inch away from the tread, and tires were dead flat and ruined.first tire was driver-side rear; second was passenger-side front.when brought to firestone dealer for warranty fulfillment for first tire, we were told it was our fault (?!) and we had to pay for replacement. Can't wait to hear explanation for second incident...but not sure i want another of these on my car.local subaru dealer says this is first he's heard about these tires, but i see three other complaints on nhtsa website specific to subarus among the 92 "general" and 37 "sidewall" potenza complaints. Tire is p225/60 r1697h. Never saw anything like this in my 30 years of driving.

Problems with tire equipment on 2002 toyota prius.*mrconsumer replaced the tires seven times to date. Problems with the tread and sidewall. Manufacturer was made aware of the defect. *ph

Experienced severe fishtailing on slightly slippery roads with a 2008 subaru outback.this was highly unusual for an all wheel drive car and i didn't have the same problem with my wife's honda cr-v that i drove on the same day on the same roads.

While driving 50 mph rear passenger's side tire blew out.

Bridgestone tire blow out on freeway.

Dear nhtsa:i believe there should be a recall on this tire : bridgestone re 92 225/50vr17.these tires are original tires from my vehicle:2000 infiniti i30ihere is my compliant: about 1 year ago i discovered by accident that one of my tire had a tire tread separation. Bridgestone was at the time kind enough to replace that tire for free. However, now i find out the other 3 tires are doing the same thing. I tried calling the firestone/bridgestone corporation, but manager (name roger from portland. Or) said these tires are out of warranty and there is nothing they can do for me. I think there should be a recall on these tires. These tires were never abused in anyway. The car is always park in the garage when possible. No alignment problem with the car. Yes, i know these tires are out of warranty after 5 years, but these tires shouldn't separate when there are sufficient amount of tread left. In addition, these tires are considered high performance tires costing about $175 per tire. Please find out if other vehicles with these tires had a blowout. Thank you.sincerely, michael

On a 2003 toyota camry the right rear tire blew out driving at highway speeds.on the outside of the tire, it has completely separated at the sidewall and has partially separated on the inside.there is no sign of any puncture in the tire. The tire is a bridgestone potenza p215/60r16 94vother numbers on the tire: e92m234364exbm25816-2dm419edot 0bx8pfa 1603d03l.

While driving on interstate 35 we encountered patchy ice on the road surface. On more than one occasion with constant speed (60 mph, 10 mph below the posted speed limit), on straight streches of road, the rear end of our 2005 subaru outback awd would skid suddenly. The skids would occur without warning and were large enough to cause some body roll. In all cases the car recovered without input from the driver. When the awd system was deactivated per the subaru manual no such skids occured on the same trip in identical situations.i have driven in minnesota for over 20 years in rear wheel, front wheel, and 4 wheel drive vehicles and have never experienced the sudden skidding in steady state condiditons.the outback was taken to our local subaru dealer and the awd system was checked with no faults found.an internet search indicated that the combinatiion of bridgestone potenza re92 225/60r 16 tires (standard from the factory) and the awd of the subaru may be a dangerous combination. As stated earlier, with the awd system deacitvated and the car in front wheel drive, no skids were experienced. We have the same tire on our 2004 honda civic and have had no winter issues with it.

My frount tires have feathering and the car only has 9,000 miles, noticed it at 3000, told dealer they alighnted car, feathering has gotten worse.car is a nissan 2003 350z.

Bridgestone potenza re92, 22560r16.right front tire tread came completely off the wheel.able to move to the right safely.odometer reading 48k for this tire and air pressure recently checked.no impact with anything in the roadway, smooth roadway.

I have a new 2004 camry 4 cyl. Le sedan with 5500 miles on the original birdgestone tires. These tires have very poor traction on rainy roads and with even light snow you can slide easly at 3 mph as we did. These tires are dangerous and should not be allowed on the market. Shame on toyota for putting such sub-standard equipment on their cars. Advertisement says these tires are all season tires, bridgestone suggested i pay for upgraded tires. I say whay should i pay forproprer all season tire s that were suppose to come on the car.

I have two subarus with bridgestone potenza tires on them.on two separate occasions, i experienced flat tires with them.on both occasions, they went flat so fast, i couldn't even get to the shoulder of the road before i was riding on the rim.i have never had tires go flat so fast.in both cases the cause was a screw in the tread.

Tires are falling apart.at less than 10,000 miles subaru advised us to replace them.they are bridgestone potenza re92a 225 55r 17.

We were driving on highway 14 at about 9 pm when we heard (and felt) a loud bang and then felt the noticeable bumpiness of a flat tire. We pulled over to the side to find the front passenger side tire flat, which we proceeded to change with the spare that was supplied with the car. The car is a 2007 subaru impreza and is actually a loaner from the dealer since my car is in the shop, being repaired for the same problem for the 8th time in 2 years (separate complaint). Upon inspecting the tire the next day, it's evident that it is a blowout as it has a 4 inch slit in the sidewall and there was nothing in the road that we drove over. I have not had the tire replaced yet but the dealer is asserting that i am responsible for the tire, even though it's not my car. They did, however, offer to sell me the tire at their cost with free installation. I plan on keeping the tire when i do get it replaced, since i'm paying for it. I will be contacting bridgestone headquarters and subaru headquarters in new jersey about this incident. Tire is a bridgestone potenza re 92a, size p205/55r1689vdot em8k jll2407.

The right rear tire blew out whileconsumer was on the road.she was able to get to the shoulder of the road.the tirescompletely separated.

The original tire that toyota placed on my 2002 camry xle v6 was unsatisfactory to the point of being dangerous. Even in a new condition, the tires never provided adequate traction in rain or snow, frequently sliding with the abs system engaged. I now notice on the internet that this is a frequent complaint of many other owners of this specific tire, even on other than toyota manufactured vehicles. The tire in question is the bridgestone potenza re92 p215/60r16 94v. Toyota refuses to address the problem.

Tire sidewall failure on two (2) bridgestone potenza re92 225/60/r16 97h tires, one failure in august 2010, one in october 2010.

Driving down i-71 at approx. 10:00pm and the rear of my car started to sway alomost causing m,e to lose control.i pulled over and realized the drivers siderear tire had failed.the side wall had broke down and came apart under normal operating conditions.speed was 67mph and the tire had 35psi in it at the time of failure.treat on the tire is still approx 50%.

I have a 2003 subaru baja with 17,000 miles on the odometer.this car came factory equipped with bridgestone potenza re92 high performance all season tires, size 225/60/r16.these tires are positively hazardous on snow and ice:i have twice in the past six weeks lost control of my vehicle on snowy, flat, straight roads, causing a total of $5,000 of damage to my car.the loss of control is unpredictable and sudden, as if a giant hand pick the car up and tossed it off the road.while researching snow tires yesterday, i found numerous warnings on web sites from consumers (tirerack.com, 1010tires.com, nhtsa.dot.gov) about the dangers of driving on wet/snowy/icy pavement with bridgestone potenza tires.these tires are exposing unwary consumers to accidents, injury and worse.i feel resentful to bridgestone for making such awful tires, also to subaru corporation for installing them on a car which is advertised as a very safe vehicle to drive in winter weather and to my local dealer who sold me a vehicle with such dangerous tires.

2006 mitsubishi eclipse, 2,000 miles, driver and 4 passengers were driving 65 mph on the #405 freeway on dry conditions. The car unexpectedly goes into a spin. The right rear tire had a 1 inch wood screw in the tread, and the tire had blown out. The whole inside wall of the tire was gone. Photos were taken.

The tires do not function, and hold traction during inclement weather, causing the vehicle to lose control. Manufacturer was contacted.owner stated thatvehicle was all wheel drive andbrand new. The cause is undetermined at this time.

Bridgestone potenza re-92 p215-60r16 m&s.this tire has been mistakenly classified as a mud & snow tire. In my 35 years of driving, i have never driven on such a dangerous tire that was classified m&s. Any snow whatsoever makes the vehicle(2004 toyota solara se) extremely difficult to control safely. I have no problem with the tire being used solely as a non-winter tire, but for nhtsa to allow the m&s designation on this tire is tantamount to gross negligence. If you think that i am alone in my observation on this tire, then please see website 1010tires.com and read the numerous customer reviews about how dangerous these tires are in snow. I respectfully ask you to please investigate this tire classification.

Tear in sidewall of bridgestone/firestone tire.

Bad tirethis letter was sent to bridgestone tire company on 8/07/2007 and made calls to the companyon aug 7,8 2007 consumer affairs at 1-800-367-3872 in chicago,il.i had talk with a representative and was given a case #1097787,and then talk with another representative on aug 8. The second representative called the store in terrell texas. My son has a new 2007 subaru impreza with bridgestone tires. The car is only 3 months old and has less than 5000 miles on the car. One of the tires has a bubble on the side wall. He went to a service center and was told to take the car back to the auto dealer. Firestone dealer don't want to adjust the tire. Dealer are just giving my son the run around. You guys need to replace bubble tirewith a new tire. It's not the dealer responsibility to adjust the tire! it is the tire manufacturer responsibility. Tire dealers are just trying to pass the buck. I want that tire replace.psi: i want this tire taken care of asap before the tire blows out and causes an accident. Bridgestone will be held responsible for any accident!!!!!contract me or my son wednesday 8/8/2007. My next step is to go to the media. They would just have a field day with tires that have bubbles on the side wall. Just think about a few years ago.

2004 honda civic lx with oem bridgestone potenza re92 195-60r-15 tires. Developed slow leak, investigation reveals small hole on the inside sidewall. No known road hazard encountered. Note: your website will not allow me to input the correct tire size. It defaults to the 16" tire size.

Front driver's side tire had to be replaced 3 times because of cracks in the sidewall. Consumer felt that the tire dealership didn't want to claim liability, so they were blaming the cracks on road hazards.

Vehicle is a subaru impreza 2002 equipt with bridgestone potenza re92 16"tires.his week at approximately 10,500 miles 2 of these tires developed a pinhole leak in the center of the sidewall approximately a week apart. The leak was so tiny that it was hard to find. A call to a major bridgestone distributor about this problem was not productive. They said they have no record of such a problem. I have never seen this in any previous tires that i have used. Can you shed any light on this subject?? thought it strange that 2 different tires of the same brand would have the same defect about a week apart.thank you.

On the evening of 21 jun 04 i was driving home from work.as i made a right hand turn in to my driveway.i felt and then heard what seemed to to a flat tire on the right (passenager) side of the car.i had filled up with gas on either the previous friday or saturday.when i fill up with gas i check my oil and tire pressure.all was ok.when i got into my garage, i went around to the right side of the car and clearly saw a flat right rear tire.i called aaa to put on a spare.the aaa repair man thought the tire looked defective.the next morning i went to ntw and replaced the flat tire and a second tire with new michelin tires.the manager at the ntw in rockville indicated that this was the second tire he had seen that week with the same defect.because i only had 19,600 miles on the tires, he gave me a discount on each tire.he also agreed that the flat tire looked defective.they checked my remaining two tires for any weakness.

Tire sidewall failure on two (2) bridgestone potenza re92 225/60/r16 97h tires, one failure in august 2010, one in october 2010.

The tires were defective.after taking the vehicle to dealerfor serviceit was discoveredthat chunksere missing from the inside of the tires. Manufacturer offered reimbursement.

Tread on the center rib of tires started to break off.*mr consumer noticed splitting on the outside of both front tires. Condition gotten worse, traction on the tires had be affected and tires tended to slip. Vehicle was taken to the dealer who concluded the tire were defective. Only the center rib and outer shoulder block showed significant wear. Consumer was advised to take the vehicle to a authorized bridgestone dealer for warranty replacement. Vehicle was taken to firestone master car care center. The technician diagnosed the failure as being owner's neglect. A second opinion was obtained by goodyear gemini auto service who concluded improper alignment or defective tires. The vehicle was taken back to the original mechanic where they determined it wasn't the alignment but defective tires. At this time, the remaining ribs started to show wear.*ph

2004 toyota camary with firestone bridgestone tires are very unsafe.i experienced a blow out on the i-10, the tire unraveled from the side walls spliting the tire into 2 pieces.

On highway with 65 mph, front tire (bridgestone potenza re92 p205/55r) blewout with no reason. There was a quarter sized hole on the sidewall. This caused damage to rim as well. Bridgestone authorized dealer did not accept this as a defective tire even though tires should be covered under manufacturer's warranty. I had to buy a new tire and rim and paid tow.

While drivingat 70 mph and with no warningrear right tire tread separated and caused the tire to blowout. The consumer had to pull over.the dealer has been notified.*ph *nlm

Vehicle drifts to right and is experiencing very high wear on the inside of the front tires.

Consumer inspectedthe tires and the belts wore into the steel.tires were replaced on the front four times. Vehicle was aligned several times but the tires continued to wear.they were replaced with the same make/model tire.

Consumer has a 2002 toyota prius. The vehicle was bought brand new but now has 16000 miles on it. It is equipped with bridgestone tires. Already the front tires threads are literally coming apart. There was no resulting injury.

While driving 65 mph rear passenger's side tire tread separated.as a result the rear quarter panel and bumper were severely damaged.no impact reported.

Driving on highway at approximately 60-65 mph when tire separated .wheel was ruined and as tireparts came off the wheel paint on the fender was damaged. Tire is a bridgestone potenza re 92 p215/60 r16 with approximately 15,000 miles.original equipment on 2006 toyota camry.rim was american custommade designed to work with camry.

My frount tires have feathering and the car only has 9,000 miles, noticed it at 3000, told dealer they alighnted car, feathering has gotten worse.car is a nissan 2003 350z.

While driving (2003 toyota) 60 mph on interstate hwy with moderate amount of traffic, the left, rear tire blew out and completely seperated.potenza re92 is the oem vehicle difficult to control, went into major skid.
