Severe engine valve clattering when pulling light loads or accelerating uphill and loud roaring sound from tires after 23000 miles.
Took my truck to the dealership and was advised my tires were almost bald...had only 16,900+ miles. Dealership replace tires, but not the same type. Yes, same brand, bridgestone dueller a/t.also dealership did a realignment.truck never rode the same after the alignment and the new tires.dealership replaced two on the back after my mechanic noted they were egg shaped.this still did not correct the problem.tires given to me were bad and the dealership would not correct. Took it to another dealership and their gm rep wrode with me and noted the truck running rough from the tires. Ordered a road force balancing on the tires. This did not work also. Now this dealership will look at my vehicle an further.truck is still under warranty. Did take it to tire service center and they said the tires are bad and truck needs realignment and also a check of the front end.advisor stated he could feel every divot in the road, which is not normal.faxed their report to the local gm rep and he refuses to acknowledge the problem. Neither dealership will even look at the problem.i am afraid for the safety of my family. Can you help me?

I purchased my 2004 gmc sierra 1500 4x4. I put it in 4 wheel drive to go through some ice and it made a very loud clank.not long after that when i put it in reverse or drive it also made the same loud clank. It did not sound like that when i first bought the truck. Now the truck has trouble going into 4 wheel drive and also gets hung in reverse. It has almost caused me to get in a bad accident. My cruise control also has have 6 malfunctions.i had the dealer fix it initially. I have fixed it subsequently due to the fact they said it was a blown fuse. The 4 wheel drive and transmission problems were addressed 3 times and all the dealers said nothing was wrong. An independent mechanic said there is a defect with my transmission and transfer case. That is it with the truck. Now just last thursdayfeb 3, my bridgestone tire separated. My tire dealer said the tire was defective. There was no evidence what so ever that there was any damage to the tire to cause the blowout. It should not have separated. It caused a fire. It was quickly put out.

While driving at different speeds and making slight turns the 1998 jeep grand cherokee will vibrate and bounce. The steering wheel will begin to pull and the front right tire feels like it is coming off or bouncing. I have taken it to the dealer and three independent shops for this problem over a 2 year period. All of have felt the problem and have no idea where it is coming from. I have so far replaced the entire front brake system, all front bushings, shocks, tires, front u bolts, and had the whole system inspected by at least 10 different mechanics. Also the brakes feel like they are riding on a warped rotor. When breaking the pedal pushes back at the driver and makes it very difficult to control the breaking. This problem has also been looked at by the dealer and the aforementioned shops. To date no solution has been found and the problem keeps getting worse. I fear that either of these problems can cause a major failure leading to injury or death.

A month ago i had a bridgestone a/t revo separate and managed to get it replaced before it blew. This past friday i was towing a trailer and had another separate and before i could get stopped it blew out also. Fortunately it was on the back and i managed to get the truck and trailer stopped safely. Not sure i could have done this had it been on the front. Tires were aired properly that morning also. Ripped my right rear fender up also. Two of the same tires purchased at the same time separated within a month of each other.
I was driving on the pa turnpike. I was doing the speed limit. Nothing on the road, no impact. All of a sudden the car starts to shake and i could tell something was wrong.
The bridgestone dueler h/t tires have been known to have wear (vibration) issues, due to the tires being a softer tire, according to many chevrolet and gmc service managers that i have called.i received two tires, balancing/rotation free, but i had to buy two as well.i feel since gm dealerships know about this issue, they should send out a recall.i have had my tires balanced and rotated many times (about every 3,000 miles), but the owners manual states every 5000 - 8000 miles.even-though there is a problem, they wouldn't pay due to my vehicle had too many miles (35,600) on it, but what they won't admit is that fact that i've had to pay extra money for additional balance and rotations.if there is a known issue, there should have been a recall; even-though that may cost them money, but it's gm's responsibility and that will cost them customers in the future!!

Catastrophic tire failuretire that failed was a bridgestone dueller p225/70 r16 that was an original equipment spare on a 2004 hyundai santa fe.the suv was purchased new in march 2005, it has approximately 25,000 miles on the odometer.the spare was placed on the car on the passenger side rear in dec. 2005 and has approx. 5000 miles on it.the failure occurred on i-95 in south carolina.it was daytime and visibility was excellent.no road hazards were observed at any time.the car had recently been serviced and all tires were fully inflated.the car showed no signs of poor or erratic handling prior to the incident.there was a loud sound with an immediate complete failure of the tire.the car was brought under control with some difficulty.this incident occurred at a speed of 70 mph.the tire was examined by garage personnel in sc and in tallahassee, fl.in both cases, no sign of road hazard damage could be found.further, there was general agreement that the tire had apparently failed due to a sidewall flaw where it met the tread.i have retained the damaged tire for your examination.you should note that in 2004, bridgestone recalled a different size of this tire that was being used as a spare for a similar problem.i suspect that there is a larger problem that bridgestone is covering up due to firestone's well documented problems.

Neither dealership will even look at the problem.i am afraid for the safety of my family. Can you help me?

On september 3rd 2005 at 11:30 pm while traveling at approximately 75 mph on interstate 5 -15 miles south of sacramento california i experienced a catastrophic failure (sidewall blowout separation of sidewall from tread) on one of my rear bridgestone p22570s16 bsdlrapt30 dueler attires. This tire had less than 13,000 miles on it and was inflated to 32 psi. The rode-way surface was in good condition.on sunday september 4th 2005 i went to sears where i purchased the set of four tires to have the damaged one replaced. Upon examination of the remaining three tires for sidewall damage and in discussions with the installation technician i decided that because of this incident and a statement by the tech that this is a common occurrence with this tire, i replaced all four with another brand.sears offered to give me full credit for two for the four tires towards the purchase of another brand of tire.
Bridgestone duellar at lt285/75r16 s/n# k9801d693az. Driving e/b 210 frwy between san dimas and fontana, noticed a very unusual vibration on the left side of the truck. The left mirror was also vibrating. Came to the end of the freeway in rialto, as i slowed down to a stopp light the whole truck was squirming from side to side. I found that the tread had bubbled up for approx. A quarter of the tire, i put my spare on and examined the tire. There is steel popping out of the inside part of the tread, it's obvious the tread is seperating and coming apart. What is bridgestone going to do about these tires? i have two friends with the same tires that had the same thing happen to them, both unfortunately suffered blowouts and major body damage.

Insured stated while traveling on the hwy her rt rear tire blew and caused her to lose control of iv. The tire shreds hit the rear bumper and tore it off or partially off. The iv then spun across traffic and hit the median with left rear end.claims adjuster looked at the photos of the tire, and it does not seem like a normal blow out. The tread appears to have just fallen off the tire. What tread was left on tire is in good shape. So we are not looking at lack of care on insured's part.insd has the physical tire in her possession.
