The contact owns a 1994 saturn sl. The vehicle was equipped with big o big o aspen tires (205/70/r14 dot u9t9 tx30103). While driving approximately 75 mph the rear drivers side tire tread separated causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a ditch. The vehicle was towedto his residence. The tire was not replaced. The approximate failure mileage was 241,000.
4 aspen touring tires purchased in 8/2015. In dec 2015, 1 of the tires blew out. Big o said it was something owner ran over but owner says she did not run over anything and the blow out was on the side not on the tread.owner replaced with new aspen touring tire on 1/14/2016.on 3/6/2016, owner noticed a blister on the sidewall of one of the tires.she will need to replace another one of the tires before it blows out.2 tires in 6 months.
I talked to "mark", cheswick-?, and he wanted odi to get this, we have now 3 big-o aspen p205-70r15 , on our 1997 chevy lumina (car), the 4th blew out (just the outside sidewall,as if you cut a circle around it, caused car to drop, spin out and "totaled", car, cooper has what is left of tire and rim, he wants you all to get remaining "3", sidewall, has no steel, nothing, just rubber!!!!!!!!!, cooper said it was underinflated, lie i had just checked them prior to going on highway,also big-o, put on tire that is 8.5 inchs wide, it is supposed to only be 6.5, also it is the wl< wide tire.

She had the tire replaced according to recall# 06t027000 (tires: tread/belt, tire line / tire). After the repair the three remaining tires failed identically. The blow outs increased her risk for vehicle crash. The tire facility denied responsibility for the failures, so she had to bear the expense to replace them. The dot numbers of the tires were unknown. The failure mileage was 53,111. The current mileage is 97,000.
