I bought a used 2007 jeep wrangler 4-door sahara in march of 2012. About 30 days after the purchase (which is when dealer warranty expired) the vehicle's brakes starting squeaking. I took it to the dealership and they said it was because the brakes were dirty. They "cleaned" the brakes and sent me on my way. The next day the brakes started squeaking again every time i brake. I took it back and they said there was nothing they could do because the brakes were brand new. At this time, the front passenger door also stopped locking correctly. The warranty i had purchased for $2,000 did not cover electronics! a couple months go by and i experienced the popular death wobble after getting an oil change and tire rotation. It turns out the rear trackbar bracket was cracked and eventually completely broke in half. I bought a heavy duty adjustable rear trackbar and had a new bracket welded on which seemed to fix the problem for a few days. Then the death wobble started again. I then took the jeep to get the tires rotated and balanced and the death wobble started at just 30mph as we were leaving the shop. I took it back and they were dumbfounded as to what the problem was. So they placed the tires back where they were when i took it in and it stopped for a couple more days. Since then i have replaced the front trackbar, steering stabilizer, and shocks, which all seemed to have put it at bay. However, now i have $340-a-piece tires that have been worn out and i have been told i cannot get the alignment fixed until i replace the front ball joints! i paid about $30,000 for this vehicle out of the dealership and have had to put in around $2500 in repairs and upgrades due to poor craftsmanship of this vehicle. On top of that i cannot even drive it with my family for fear of our safety. I have seen many online forums with people having the same exact problem. The dealership won't help me. The manufacturer won't help. Something must be done before a serious injury or death occurs.

I have noticed an incredible bounce while driving on the freeway and local way. It has only 1,500 miles and this does not seem normal and concerns me. The tires doesn't seem to change the bounce effect. I can't even put my family in the back seat because they feel uncomfortable and start bouncing everywhere. The problem needs to be addressed and fixed by botoya.

I purchased a used 04 pontiac gto. I noticed the car tires were very noisy. After close inspection of the tires, i discovered the passenger front tire was worn almost bald with severe cupping. I bought new tires and was told the inside of the previous tires had wear on the inside of the tire- apparently from rubbing against the bottom of the strut. I was told that i should do something about the strut replacement on the car or this condition could result in an accident. U began to research this issue and found that it was inherent in this car and that the simplest remedy was to have a pedders certified mechanic install a kit of bushings made specifically for the problem.this kit replaced defective oem bushings that has disintegrated at less than 16k miles. In my case, both oem shocks and struts were literally shot at 18k miles and had to be replaced. However, because of the size tire the manufacturer put on the car to handle the hefty weight of the vehicle, the tire sits less than a pencil width from the strut so on impacted surface contact, the inside of the tire rubs on the strut and will eventually shred the tire. My cars rear springs are shot from excessive compression tied-down in shipping from australia to america so the complete fix job will cost me 3 thousand dollars -gm knew about the engineering flaw in the match of tires and suspension with parts that would bust in short time and they also knew about springs being weakened in shipment but sold these cars without warning to the customer or any recall or service bulletin. I believe that gm should pay the 3k to get the corrective suspension configuration on my car and reimburse me for the 1100. I replacement struts (temp fix) and pedders strut-rub bushing replacement kit. No one is safe in this car or any gto. I can provide eyewitness testimony/affidavits from the shop that performed the repair.

I had to replace twovalve stems on four tires purchased at bergey tire service, lansdale pa on 8/21/2007. The first replacement was july 3, 2010.when the second one was done, july 21, 2010, the mechanic told me about the problem with the chinese made rubber valve stems.i had just driven 90 miles to the seashore by myself (i am a 69 year old woman), and i shudder to think what would have happened if the tire had gone flat while i was driving 65 mph on the turnpike.luckily i found the tire flat the day after i arrived.i am grateful that the mechanic told me about the valve problem so that i can get the rest of the tire valves checked.

After complaining to bf goodrich about (4) cracking sidewalls and being told that they were surface cracks and if the tires held air they would do nothingbecause the tires are good at (1) year old with 20,000 mi.(1 1/2) year later the sidewall and tire tread separated while sitting in the drive way. I have now replaced all (4) tires with a different tire brand.

Experienced rapid loss of air pressure on a bf goodrich commercial t/a lt225/75r16 all season lre tire while traveling on a 4-lane highway. Tire was one of a set of 4 installed on a 5th wheel. Both myself, as well as the road service that came to my aid, thought the problem was caused by apparent tread separation. The tire was less than 3 years old and had around 16000 miles on it. I returned the faulty tire to michelin for inspection. Their report concluded that they could not find the exact cause of failure. Specifically, their report stated "while we did not find any defects in design, manufacture or materials in the tire which would have caused it to become unserviceable, neither could we find any evidence of misapplication or misuse". In the interest of customer goodwill, michelin agreed to reimburse me for repair costs to my 5th wheel, pay a 75% prorated replacement cost on a new tire and cover the defective tire shipment cost. While i'm grateful for michelin's actions on my behalf, i am wondering if the problem i experienced is part of a larger problem. Specifically, is it somehow related to your nhtsa campaign id number :12t019000 recall? that recall is for the same tire, but specifies different sizes. I am meticulous about weighing my 5th wheel to stay safe, always make sure i maintain the proper air pressure in my tires and use a tire pressure monitoring system. There were no indications of any problem with the tire, prior to the incidence.

Side-wall blew out of tire while traveling at approximately 55-60mph on normal, paved road.no debris was hit at the time of failure and there was no known history of striking debris with the sidewall.tire had approximately 16,000 miles on it (65,000 mile tires) and had been rotated twice since purchase.

We purchased a set of bf goodrich tires on 5-16-2009. The 1st incident occurred 7-11, driving home noticed a bad thumping sensation in the right rear tire. Pulled over and noticed the tire had a bubble in the center of the tread, so pulled over and changed tire. So on 7-29-11 i purchased 2 new tires to replace this bad one. The 2nd incident took place on 5-11-12 was a blow out and no warning. So i changed this tire as well.on the same day i felt a thumpingsensation so pulled over and noticed the left rear tires had a bubble. So of the 4 tires purchased 3 of them went bad. I pulled the other tire of my truck and purchased 2 new tires on 5-12-12. I submitted a complaint to bf goodrich to see if they would either cover the cost of the new tires or the damage to my truck. Needless to say the claim was denied. I provided them with all of the maintenance paperwork showing the tires were rotated on a regular basis and the pressure was checked on a regular basis. Their answer was the tires were run on a 'runflat" condition. That the tires were run on in a flat condition. Now how could anyone possibly drive down the freeway with no air in their tires. And how would 3 tires so far go bad.

On 6/5/2013, i was driving on freeway at approx. 70mph and tread separated from rt. Rear tire causing vehicle to swerve into adjacent lane. Damage to quarter panel and running board. This is the second tire failure in the past 45 days.the tires are bfgoodrich 265/75r/16 commercial ta load range e. The four new tires were installed on 2/28/2011 and have approx. 14,300 miles of wear at time of failure. The other tire (left front) failed on 4/19/2013. Because of strong front end vibration, i inspected the front tires. I found that it was out of round due to belt separation. The dealer replaced this tire also.

My wife unknowingly drove on a flat tire.after i collected her and the car, i took the tire to sears and they said the valve stem failed.the tire was replace but i had to pay for it.months later, she had a nail in a tire so i took the car back to sears.they patched it, anda week or so later it was flat again.when i took it in, i noticed another tire was flat and that had a bad valve stem.so, now 3 of the original valve stems had been replaced.last night, she had another flat tire, i changed it, and it was the remaining valve stem.i bought the tires at sears and complained after the second valve stem that there was a problem.the manager said that my wife must be driving up on curbs.i checked the dates and the tires were installed right in the middle of the recall period.sears is not handling this problem well--they are putting people on the road with defective valve stems. I did not know officially that there was a documented problem until i returned from sears this morning and did some checking on the internet.
