Tire failure. Three new bct tires 235 85r 16 14 ply all failed within 170 mile s. They blew out completely.

After experiencing blowout of trailer tire remaining tires were checked. Three of the 4 remaining tires had tread that was in the process of separating. Tires had less than 10,000 miles of use and had been well maintained. Replacement tires (from a different manufacturer) were purchased. Vehicle is a 1999 hawk 3 horse gooseneck trailer.

The contact owns a 1993 ez-loader charger boat trailer equipped with hi-run bct tires, tire size 205/75/14. While driving approximately 60 mph, an unusual noise sounded outside of the vehicle. The contact maneuvered to the side of the road and noticed both rear tires exploded due to excessive tread belt separation. Also, both defective tires were replaced with new tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the defect. There was no mileage on the trailer. The dot number and vin were unavailable.

Purchased 5 new high-run trailer tires d rated. After 2.5 years and 400 miles 1 tire blew out and three separated. Spare never mounted on ground with sticker still attached in garage separated. These are dangerous tires and should be taken off market.

Catastrophic tire failure (blow out).trailer service tire.this is the 2nd tire that failed of the 4 i purchased in 2010.failure was the same as the one that failed in sept 2011.in both cases the tire blow out caused trailer wheel well damage.model of tire is dci-jk42.

I've had 2 blow outs with hirun tires in the last 200 miles. The tires don't have 2,000 miles on them and are around 2 years old. The tread is separating. It has caused significant damage too the trailer.

The owner just sold, and the new owner claims to have no knowledge of how to assist me with getting in touch with a usa rep for them. I find that this is a very dangerous condition as i was on the highway and "bang" just blew both times ?after doing some research and finding out these were china tires, just today i purchased new all 4 on the rear of this truck. I have in my possession the 2 blown tires, and the other 2 that are still intact. The first blew on the inner pass rear, the second on the outer drivers side.

Now 13 months after purchase one of the other bct tires has sidewall separation in several locations. I am now replacing all of the bct tires to prevent a sudden and catastrophic tire failure.

On 9/27/2013 i had a blow-out with a bct tk42 st225/75r15 on my 24" 5th wheel alumascape trailer.the result was a 3-4' tread separation that caused significant damage to my trailer.the tire location was atthe right rear side.the damage is estimated at over $400 and includes replacement of the entire plastic fender cover as well as repair to the steel propane line that was broken just to the rear of the tire.there is also damage to the electrical receptacle just above the tire.i bought a new goodyear tire for a replacement.the bct (beijing capital tire) is made in china.the approximate mileage on this tire was less then 9,000 miles and came with the trailer when i bought it in aug 2010.i am replacing the tire in front of this one which is also a bct.this tire has no dot code that i could find.the incident took place on a major highway (30w by pass)while traveling at 55mph .the next exit was to douningtown, pa.the goodyear store was less then a mile away.i was unaware that there are issues with this brand of tire and that they are made in china until i read it on the sidewall.

The contact owns a 2001 gmc 2500 hd truck equipped with bct hi-run tires, tire size 275/245/75/16/ (n/a), dot number: unknown. The contact was driving 60 mph when the vehicle exhibited a loud noise. The contact moved the vehicle from the roadway and upon further inspection, found that the rear driver side tire was blown. The contact stated that he had experienced four tire blow outs when the same brand of tire on four separate vehicles. The vehicle was taken to the mechanic, but the manufacturer was not contacted. The tire was replaced with a spare by the contact. The failure mileage for the tire was 12,000. The failure mileage of the vehicle was 239,000 and the current mileage was 242,000.

Both incidents were strictly tire related (tread separation).second blow out caused approximately 1,500.00 + damage to fender and fender skirt. Manufacturer refuses to compensate.they claim both tires were impact separation.impossible....truck pulling 5th wheel had no tire or vehicle damage. Had to purchase 2 new tires to be able to get home on both occasions.tires had approximately 9/32 tire tread depth when they blew. (checked by tire dealer.)

And showed no low pressure or high temp. Signs. All bct tires were replaced in williamsport, pa on 8/19/13, at 38000 miles.

In september 2012, while on interstate 15 returning from a camping trip, a passenger-side tire on our toy hauler trailer came apart, losing all tread and doing cosmetic and structural damage to the area around the tire and wheel well.upon inspection the second tire on the same side of the trailer was found to have the tread beginning to separate, evidenced by a bulge in the tread.the 2 tires on the driver-side appeared to be fine.all 4 tires were 2 years old (purchased july 2010) and showed no obvious signs of damage or abnormal wear (no cracks, discoloring, etc).they are covered to protect them from the elements when the trailer is not in use, are checked for proper air pressure regularly, and the trailer has never been loaded to where it would exceed the trailer or tires load ratings.the tire manufacturer stated that they only warrant tires for 2 years from date of purchase and refused to stand behind their product.we eventually bought 4 new tires from a different manufacturer and are currently having the trailer repaired.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the driver of the vehicle noticed that the rear passenger side outer tire had blown out. The vehicle was taken to an auto shop, where the tire was replaced. The mechanic placed the new tire on the rear passenger side inside tire and placed one of the original tires on the rear passenger outside. The failure occurred a second time and also occurred to the rear driver's side outer tire. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 900.

One of our vans' bct jb42 front tire blew up leaving from a parked area without going over any sharp objects or curves.fortunately no one was hurt but it could have caused a huge accident on the road.i checked for recall on this tire but it was not...i will now have to replace 12 of these tires on my other vehicles because i can't take any more chances with these tires although they are in decent conditions...i think someone needs to check into this tire model for future safety.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the tire treads were separating from the tires and the tires needed to be replaced. While at the independent mechanic, the other three tires blew out. The tires were not repaired. The tires were not original equipment. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 190,000 and the tire failure mileage was 4,000. The vin and dot number were not provided.

The contact was able to coast to the road shoulder and found that the rear tire thread had separated and caused the tire to blow out. The tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified.
