2001 chevy suburban 8.1when driving at allspeeds just dies. Starts back up 5-15mins. Really scary if your doing 75 mph in heavy traffic. I am 99% sure its the crankshaft sensor. Gm has a recall on 2001 2500 hd trucks only!!!!i found out about the cranksensor from some people online who learnedthe hard way .with today times people cant afford to pay big bucks for little parts. Gm needs to extend the recall to all 8.1 lregardless of year or make. I found a web site that some boat motors are doing the same thing 8.1 gm. Cheap if you fix it before your out on a road trip. P.s. Iheard about a opening on the hump but gm line welded it up.

My family's ford expedition had a goodrich long trail t/a tire disintegrate due to ply separation.we did not hit anything and the tire was properly inflated.this happened at 10:30 pm on a 70 mph highway.

In nov. Of 2005 i purchased a chevrolet silverado, i have had nothing but problems with it. I have had the rear brakes and rotors replaced 3 times and the front once, also the fuel system had a problem, now they tell me that i need all tires replaced because the compound is bad. My truck only has a little over 7,000 miles on it!

I've had problems with a few other things as well, and toyota has been unwilling to help. Also, i haven't ever received any update or recall info from toyota, sense i have owned it.( dot number: tire size: 33 12 50 )

We were driving on the freeway, and just started climbing through the mountains, with our f350 towing our trailer.we noticed a strange sound from the tires and decided to pull over at the next exit to check it out.before reaching the exit, the drivers side rear tire blew.we had bf goodrich all terrain tires on our truck that had 18,000 miles on them and the tread completely separated and damaged our truck bed which caused $10,000 worth of damage.we were fortunate that my husband was trained what to do in such situations which prevented us having an accident as we could have lost control of the trailer very easily. Fortunately, the truck was still drive-able after taking off a support bracket and putting the spare tire on.after getting to a city with a tire store, we ended up purchasing 2 new tires so that the rear axle had a matched set.we purchased the same type of tire as we previously had as we never had a problem before and thought it was just a fluke.but after reading reviews after being at home, i'm wishing we looked into other options.unfortunately, when you are on a trip, it isn't the best time to research tires.we had the tire submitted to michelin, but they are saying it wasn't a defective tire.glad we have insurance to fix our truck.

Sidewall seperation/failure of front axle tires. So far, 3 bf goodrich tires supplied by dodge have failed.

Purchased (4) b.f. Goodrich all-terrain t/a truck tires (lt305/65r17) in august, 2007. Took a trip to las vegas, and noted sidewall cracking adjacent to bead on all4 tires. When tires were purchased, one would not balance and i had to come back to pick up a replacement. The sidewall cracking on this tire is not as severe as the other 3. B.f.goodrich/michelin is giving me baloney about the tires not being driven enough and that "ozone-weathering" could be responsible! i have never had this sort of problem before and i maintain that the tires were defective from day one. Their warranty is laughable, and their take on safety appears to be a joke.

While driving at 73 mph tire onfront driver's side blewn up.driver was able to maintain control ofvehicle. Tire size p23575r16. Replacement tire equipment on a 1995, discovery. I was traveling down the highway passing another vehicle on the first lane. As i was going down, i felt my vehicle pulling to the side very slightly, and at first i put the feeling off as me overreacting over something or it was just the road being a little rough. I was going at highway speed around 75mph, and eventually my rear passenger side tire ruptured effectively destroying all of the sidewall of the tire. I managed to stay in control and pulled to the side of the road.after the incident and upon closer inspection of the failed tire at home, i found that the rubber part where the valve stem meets the wheel of the tire was mostly cracked almost to the point of detachment. I feel certain that this was the cause of the tire failure, where i lost air pressure causing the sidewall of the tire to give away at highway speed. I have also taken pictures of the tire and the valve stem damage if needed.

Going from a stop to about 5 mph, four three inch rips appeared on sidewall area on tread part. Tire went immediately flat. Thisis the second time i have had the same type of tire to go flat from the side wall area. (dot number: be668l1d4stiresize: 30x9.5r15l)
