Defective b. F goodrich long trail ta tires (265r60 18) ford f150 lariat appear to have a design defect causing a very harsh ride & shuddering upon stopping.when attempting to stop in the rain, the shuddering caused the anti lock brake module to malfunction and resulted in loss of control of the vehicle. Ford is aware of the tire defect (a letter was received) yet has declined to replace the tires.

I purchased a 2004 pontiac gto and performed all necessary maintenance, such as tire rotation.the inside walls of the front tires have been damaged from rubbing or striking an object inside the wheel well. It appears that it is rubbing the front suspension.upon closer inspection, all 4 tires show the same wear, because of the tire rotation. First noticeable indication that there was something wrong with this vehicle was a vibration in the steering wheel.the car has only 25,000 miles with regular usage.

Front tires rubbing on the struts/strut bushings worn out on my 2006 pontiac gto causing the tires to wear out within 2-3 thousand miles. Dealer repeatedly told me they could find nothing with the car which would cause the excessive front tire wear. Front tires were replaced by the dealer once, but wore out immediately, appox 2-3 thousand miles.

While driving at 70mph on freewayfront left tire blewout, and other 3 tires were defective.tire size 2756015. Please include dlt number. Not original tire.

I have 6 bf goodrich lt 225/75r16 commercial t/a tires on my rv. In september 2012 we had a blowout in the left rear outside tire, with complete tread separation. We felt a strong vibration in the rv just prior to the blowout. The explosion damaged the left side of the rv, the wheel well, the air ride suspension and a large compartment adjacent to the wheel well. There were no injuries. We contacted michelin (maker of the bf goodrich tires). Michelin paid for the repairs to the rv and replaced the tire prorated (it had about 25,000 miles on it). On may 31, 2015 while driving from virginia to north carolina, a second of these tires blew out with complete tread separation; this time it was the right outside tire (it only had around 27,000 miles on it). Again there was a strong vibration just prior to the blowout. There is damage to the wheel well, the side of the rv and a slight crushing of the exhaust. Luckily, again there were no injuries. In both instances, the temperature was in the 80s, the weather was clear, the road dry, and the tires were inflated to the required 80psi. We hit no debris on the road, nor a pothole. After the first instance, i requested michelin replace all 6 tires, but they refused. There is obviously a defect in the manufacturing of these tires, and they should be recalled immediately.

We purchased a set of b.f. Goodrich radial t/a (p21570s15) tires from sears, which were completely worn and considered under the legal limitations after only 25,000 miles of use.the tires had a 50,000 mile warranty.we have had the car fully maintained since the purchase of the car and the tires, and were told by professionals that they felt the tires were a manufacturer defect.they also told us we should replace the tires immediately or we could be putting ourselves and our child in danger.we went to sears and they refused to help us and simply wanted us to buy a whole new set of tires, even after i showed them every receipt on the maintenance to prove this did not happen because of neglect on our part.

Dear sir/madam: i own a 1997 isuzu rodeo and the tires i have on this vehicle are thebf goodrich lontrail t/a .the problem is that in the last six months i have experience two blowouts and am afraid that there might be some sort of manufacturing problems with this brand of tire.both tires were relatively new, approximately six months old and i see no reason why the tires would experience this type of problem.the first incident was back in may 2004 the tire blew out (left front) and the treads literally fell apart.the second incident was on the morning of 19 nov 2004, again i had a blow out (right rear) and the sidewalls fell apart.i contacted bf goodrich about this since and was told to contact michelin tires who now own bf goodrich, they in turn had me contact sears and have one of their technicians inpect the tire.thesears tech told me that it was due to road hazard, which i said was imposible since i was on a very clean road (julia tuttle causeway) in miami and i did not hit or run over any obstruction or foreign object.when you inspect the tire you can clearly see that the tire blew out, and not due to any road hazard. I was very lucky that in both cases i was not traveling at a high rate of speed, and was able to control my vehicle.can you please inform me if you have had any other reports of problems with this brand of tire and if so what is michelin doing to correct this problem.please contact me either by phone or e-mail. On december 28, 2005, i was driving south on interstate 95 in southern south carolina near walterboro when a bf goodrich tire on the left rear of my 1999 chevrolet suburban suddenly disintegrated into fragments while i was driving.before i left on my trip to florida, i had the tires on my vehicle rotated and balanced.all of the tires appeared to be in good condition...with deep tread. Bf goodrich has informed me that the tire in question was sold to gm as a spare tire for the vehicle when it was new in 1999. The tire was exactly the same type of tire as the others and was marked exactly the same way. I placed the tire on the vehicle to use in november of 2003.since that time, the tire has been in use for approximately 24,000 miles.

I am the attorney for three minor children. They were seriously injured, and their father was killed in a rollover in las vegas, nevada in february, 2006. The rear b.f. Goodrich tire on the 2003 kia sorento that the father was driving blew out and separated, resulting in the rollover. The tire was apparently plugged the day before at a las vegas tire shop.

While driving there was a blow out of the front passenger's tire.after contacting the tire company the tires were replaced. Two months later the left driver's tire melted from the inside. Manufacturer stated that tire was too large, and he neededto discuss it with the dealer.

Within fifteen minutes of having new rear tires put on my car, i experienced a sidewall blowout on the left rear tire while going around a left hand turn at about 40 mph.this caused my vehicle to spin out of control and slam head first into a concrete pillar at the base of a light pole.the vehicle was completely totaled and i suffered minor injuries.had i not been wearing a seat belt i would have been killed.if i had anyone in the front passenger seat they would have probably lost their legs as the floor was pushed up to the same level as the seat.

I had a tie failure on a goodrich p225/70-r14 m&s tire. The sidewall split on the tire without warning. The tire was taken to the dealer who examined it and said that the sidewall failure was due to some sort of manufacturing defect. When the other tires were examined, one of them was found to have a sidewall crack that had not yet gotten all the way thru the sidewall. The tire that failed did so at low speed so there was no wreck, but a sidewall failure at road speed could have led to a serious accident.

Over two years, i have had 3 belt failures on b.f goodrich lt 225/75 r16 tires.one failure resulted in a blowout the other two were detected by extreme vibration while driving on the highway.notified b.f. Goodrich on the last failure.3 failures of the same type seem above normal for a tire in this category.b.f. Goodrich stated that they have had no complaints of this typ of failure but agreed to give me a credit of 20% off a new tire based on the tread remaining on the old one.

Tire failure - tread separationb f goodrich radial long trail t/a size p245/75r16(dot ap70hk11109) while traveling @ 65 mph on i-77 north in west virginia between mile markers 18 and 20.estimated damage to vehilce $965.00.

Tread came off, total failure, explosive consequences: two fender braces ripped off, the right rear fender damaged substantially, and the right rear taillight smashed from the tire tread hitting the inside if the fender well.another tire just afterwards had to be replaced when because it was making a ...rump-rump sound.suspect tire tread separation in both instances.

While having my vehicle serviced today, i asked my mechanic to check a shaking in the front of my truck. I first noticed the shaking on july 3rd, 2005. When he called, he told me that i had two defective tires, and they were to the point that the wires were pushing through the rubber. The last time my vehicle was serviced, in may, there were no problems with my tires.
