The molding around windshield popped out on passenger side of car and is beginning to bulge out from driver's side. This appeared overnight.
I was driving and the rear passenger tire blew (sounded like a cannon going off) the tread came off the tire and i could not find it (have photo). The tire was purchased new with the truck 2010 dodge 2500 slt crew cab. The brand bf goodrich lt265/70r17 121/118r. Dot info is m3ah dr11 0510.
Bought 4 bf goodrich long trail tires for 2003 1/2 ton chevy suburban 4 wheel, in the first few days of use, tires edge(s) "bite" at high speeds 60-70 mph creating lack of control in moderate winds,not only was car pushed in moderate wind but actually went out of control dangerously.
In june 2009 i purchased 4 new tires from power dodge of valencia, ca.at the time i needed tires and i was told the tires they were selling were new.on october 18, 2010,i had a blow out of one of the tires on the freeway. The tire had approximately 8,000 miles on it.i went to get it replaced at a tire shop and was advised the tire was over 3 years old, i questioned the fact i just purchased the tire on 6-09 however, i was shown the tire was manufactured 6-07.i went to the dealer and they advised me that for say the tire was new when i purchased it and they have been told by chrysler that tires have a shelf life of 5 years?needless to saythey did not offer a remedy other than buy another.is there not a law, rule or something that says a manufacture cannot sell a tire that has been on the shelf for over a year?the tires being sold that have been on the shelf for 2,3,4, and even 5 years are unsafe. It is evident that these dealers do not have ethics or care about their customers.

I took the 2004 gtoto dealer for an oil change and tire rotation to colonial tire near my home they found the right front inside of the tire was worn down to the belts and needed to be replaced immediately. Also, theyfound a rear tire missing about 3" of tread and that required replacement. I have not read that this year and model gto had a strut problem that causedit to rub against the front tires, and that the tires chunkedeasily. There was no accident or injury involved. It cost me $437.
While traveling on i-75 south and just before the 333.3 mile marker, a loud droning noise was heard.it almost sounded like a very loud muscle car nearby.the noise continued for a couple of minutes, then a sudden louder noise (almost like an explosion) was heard at the same time as a recurrent thump and banging.the suv lurched and after managing to get to the emergency lane through moderate traffic, we discovered the left rear steel belted radial had separated completely from itself into shreds and completely from the rim.in doing so, the radial had exploded outward against the mud flap, tearing it off and against the left side of the car to include the passenger and driver door panels.this contact with the door panels left rubber embedded in the paint and also removed paint on some areas.a tow truck was called through our insurance company and the tire was changed.the failed tire remains in our possession, should anyone wish to inspect it. The tire is manufactured by bf goodrich and is a liberator radial medalist p23575r15 108-s m+s. It had less than 5000 miles on it. It was sold to us and installed on our suv in april 2006 at the walmart super store tire center on 19th ave rd in ocala, fl.we traded michelins in for these tires. Thank god it was the rear tire that failed and not a front tire that would have almost certainly caused a fatal accident at 70+ mph.we are very thankful we were not physically injured; however, we have three more of these tires still remaining on our suv.

Three b.f. Goodrich 990 radial steel belt tires experienced blow outs within a 12-14 hour period of time while traveling, the steel belts overheated and possibly caused the tires to blow and the tread to come off.*mjs
