Bought bfg commercial t/a tires from costco lake elsinore, ca on 05-23-2015 i went back to costco with a handling complaint after a recent camping trip first time on these tires. With my 29 foot travel trailer my truck handles very poorly tire side walls feel very soft makes handling a serious safety issue. Truck feels like its wandering and when trying to stop the trailer the tires feel as if they are trying to come of the rims. My truck is a 2004 ford f-350 srw truck more than capable of towing this trailer. The trucks mileage at the time of install was 154601 current mileage is 155061 so i have put a total of 460 miles on these tires. Costco would only rebalace and rotate tires without any of my saftey concerns addressed.

The driver side front tire spontaneously blew while driving in normal conditions on the highway, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. The tire had been regularly maintained and had more than adequate tread.
In feb. 2004 i received a letter from ford recalling the tires i had on my 2000 ford excursion. The tires had 44000 miles on them at that time with no failure. We had the replacements put on by capitol city ford in indianapolis on 03/25/2004. My wife and some family went to tennessee over the memorial day weekend and on the return trip the driver side front tire blew out. It didn't leak out it blew out. The driver, larry d. Mcroberts 317-891-9020, advised he had to use extreem effort to keep the vehicle somewhat straight but it did go into the center median of i 75 just north of lexington kentucky across one lane of traffic. The tire was changed, with the new spare and they made it back to home. When presented to capitol city for replacement they advise it would only be covered by b. F goodrich @70 % of the cost. That is not the main issue, we had 44000 on "defective" firestone tires, but could not get 1500 miles out of the replacement goodrich tires and had a potentiallyserious blow out at highway speed. The goodrich tires are now the standard for the ford excursion. The tire that blew had a dot number of 013w384a18003 from the michelin warranty form number aa5110951. At the dealership a mechanic stated to me, when i brought in the tire, " looks like goodrich took a lesson from firestone" are these tires failing the same as firestones?
My f-350 pickup does not have a label on the driver door so i have no way of knowing the proper tire inflation for the vehical.the tires are rated for up to 80 psi, but both the tire and vehical manuals state that it should be based on the label on the drivers door.ford says they can not provide that information to me because they don't have it- although apperantly a dealer could get it.driving a truck that could require 75 psi in the tires with only 30 psi could result in a failure at highway speeds, but the ford rep i spoke to just kept saying they couldn't help me.
