I purchased my vehicle from sunnyvale toyota in oct of 2002. It is a 2003 toyota sequoia. From the time i reached home found multiple problems. Start with hub caps not seated correctly, defective roof racks, entry door molding with inked print on them. Went on to a defective air conditioner compressor, pungent awful smell from the ac, defective radio/ cd changer. Brakes are spongy and don't respond well. If you pump it once it works well. The vehicle repeatedly veers to the right. They have checked it at least 15 times. There is hair in the paint. I went through the ncds process and ended up with a judgment to have them repair the veering problem and air conditioning. Toyota never complied and ncds closed the case without my consent. I worked with toyota and they finally worked on the trouble. I got a new set of tires but the veering returned. What happens is the tires wear more on the outside of the front right tire. As you rotate the trouble goes away until the tire wears and the problem becomes more pronounces. Now the tires are bald and ncds is giving me trouble to reopen the case or stand behind the arbitrators judgment. Now even the door molding are coming off even with no damage.

All four tires have cracks along the sides of the tires. Also , when i got new tires, a big o tires shop found that the alignment was bad on the permanent structure of the vehicle that can not be adjusted due to it was the __ toe - sai - included angle - and the total toe.

The consumer has been experiencing problems withb.f. Goodwrich tires model23570r15 long trail ta.while driving the tires would vibrate.this happened with two sets of tires.the manufacturer has been contacted.

I was on the internet and i came across defects on the 2004-2006 gtos and since i have one i investigated. The complaints were that the stock size tires were rubbing on the struts in front of the vehicle. So, i have a 2004 gto with only 7,800 miles on it. I went out turned said vehicle on turned the wheel almost till it would stop and peeked under the car and low and behold contact with strut;on both sides. Called gm in detroit, they had no idea of the problem. Ignored me. Did not return my phone calls, they said they would.took vechicle to dealership to fix car. Dealer said everything looked good except the camber in front of car. Dealer fixed camber, made me pay $100. Dollars. I call gm 10 times in detroit, have not received call back from my representitive. Also spent $400.00 on two new 235/45 for the front; because even after they "fixed it" the stock tires wre stll 1/4inch away from the strut. So it has cost me $500.00 to hopefully fix the car i do not even own.

I dropped off my 2004 pontiac gto at the local dealership on about 3/21/07 for a number of warranty issues.one of the "issues" to be checked was a slight vibration in the steering wheel.the dealership stated the problem was due to wheel alignment and all four tires needed to be replaced.i don't drive the car in inclement weather, avoid potholes, and there was no pulling to either side.as i had only 15,589 miles on the vehicle, i declined the alignment & tires when called by the service representative.upon pickup, the rep indicated the tire were extremely dangerous and pointed out how the steel belts were showing on the inside of the right front tire.the rep indicated that tire replacement on this vehicle was common for that mileage.researching on the internet disclosed these tires have a 35,000 warranty and that there had been other complaints related to premature tire wear on 2004 and 2005 gtos.complaints have been filed stating the tires were rubbing the struts, primarily front left, causing the premature failures.today, march 30, i pulled the front left tire off the vehicle to look at the tire and strut.there are obvious wear marks on the strut and a groove cut into the inside of the tire.all four tires have excessive wear on the inside due to regular tire rotation.it appears gm misaligned the wheels at the factory and installed too large of tires creating a situation of inadequate spacing between the struts and the tires.i have requested gm rectify the situation and am waiting for its reply.i am filing this complaint with nhtsa because this is a serious safety concern that may result in fatal accidents due to tire blowouts caused by inaccurate alignment and insufficient clearance.please investigate this issue and require the manufacturer to recall 2004 and 2005 gtos and rectify this dangerous situation.

The vehicle has an abnormal vibration when traveling 65 mph and more.i've owned the vehicle less than 2 weeks and it has been at the ford dealerships service dept. 3 times.the dealership has not fixed the problem and does not know the cause of this problem.the dealership service dept. Informed me all of the same type of vehicles they have in there inventory have the same problem.the dealership has balanced the original tires, replaced the original tires with new tires and checked front end alignment.

Mechanical contact between right front tire and suspension strut, excessive negative camber of wheel assembly, resulted in accelerated uneven and excessive tire wear.if not corrected ,this problemcould lead to sudden air loss due to mechanical wear of the tire against the strut, or loss of vehicle control due to excessively worn tires.this issue was addressed in nhtsa preliminary evaluation,pe07-010.

The family was traveling on us highway 77 about 45 miles north of raymondville on king ranch in 2001 f150 supercrew (lariet).we heard a loud explosion and saw smoke coming from rear tire on passenger side.we had complete tread separation but did not lose air.we were able to drive to crossover to change tires.there was extensive damage to the truck's wheel well, fiberglass fender, and rear panel of truck.according to collision center, it is at least $1800 worth of damage.

However the car is made, it kills the tires. Today i will be buying my second tire in two years.

Had a second tire blowout of bfg 225/75r16 tires on our coachmen freelander. Driving around 45 mpg on smooth road with temp approximately 65 degrees. Tire tread peeled off the entire thing except for an approximately 10 inch strip. It destroyed the gas intake line. Good thing we didn't have alot of gas in the tank. A few months ago had the same thing happen with another bfg tire (we bought 3 of them). That one crushed the exhaust pipe. At the time we didn't attribute it to a defective tire but after 2 out of 3 blowouts we will have the 3rd one taken off as soon as we can get the gas intake replaced & can get to a tire dealer. We called bfg & they're looking into it...they want us to send them the tire!!! our insurance company said don't send it.

Driving on flat dry 4 lane highway.heard small noise and within 20 seconds felt truck pulling slightly looked in mirror and saw the tire tread peel off the tire.complete tread separation occured.tire dealer noted no defects to the tire and no indication of hitting anything.roads were clear and dry temperature was about 25f.we have pictures available that we can e-mail if needed. (tiresize: p235/70r16)

Tire failure. We took the tire in to get it plugged, but it was the inner lining, it split apart and the tire was not safe to plug. (goodrich tire)we took the tire to an authorized goodrich dealer and they told us that it was a cosmetic fix and that it would be safe to fix.after the firestone ordeal, i don't feel safe to drive my explorer any more. I will let the company know about the goodrich tire failure.

I have a 2006 pontiac gto with 24,000 miles on it.it has never been in an accident.i has to replace 3 tires due to the inside of the tires were worn to the cords.i went to the dealer and they have not been able to explain why this happened.the dealer say they are not responsible for a the problem and can not explain why it happened.after talking to other people it is a problem that continues to happen.

My 2004 hyundai santa fe had a slow leak while on the highway and i always carried a can of fix a flat.i then proceeded tp a tire place to repair the tire but was told that because i used the fix a flat the tire could not be repaired.my complaint is that i have written to fix a flat to eitherconfirm or deny this statement by the tire company, but so far i have not been contacted by anyone from fix a flat. Can you please confirm or deny this statement? the tire place told me that the dot has published a ruling to this effect, but i looked all over and can't find anything on it.

During new york state motor vehicle inspection of above mentioned vehicle, it was pointed out by the licensed inspector that the tires on said vehicle showed an abnormal and excessive amount of cracking/checking in the deep portion of the tread(inner and outer grove of each tire). For a tire with these few miles and less than one year old the inspector felt that, eventhough they passed inspection, i should persue the matter further with regard to warrantee agreements. The inspector seem to feel that there was reason to be concerned about this tire if i was going to do some towing later in the year.i called nissan motor-filed a report with them-they sent me to call on bf goodrich-filed a report with them.-bf goodrich sent meto a dealer that handles there claims-he looked at the tire and told methat it was dry rot and that it was normal-i have since goneto another nys motor vehicle inspection station, they seem to feel that this is not normal fora tire with these few miles and this age..i have since been looking at tires of other vehicles with even more miles and do not see any cracking/checking to the extent that i do with these tires..can someone please help? A week after buying my tacoma (04) we were driving on the freeway and w/only 496.4 miles on it, the truck started to shake continuosly, it started smoking and the steering wheel seized up on me.i managed to avoid a huge car accident, and pulled to the side of the road.when we got out we saw that my back drivers side tire was completely gone and had a sidewall blowout w/nothing left on the tire.i called toyota and they would do nothing for me since it was the tire, i had to take it to a tire company.i did get the one tire replaced but it was a tire that didn't match my other 3.i had requested all of my tires to be inspected as well as my truck but no one would cooperate.

We are having trouble with our 2002 windstar van...the brake lights , abs lights, and trac lights are coming on all of the time plus the od light, too!!! our mechanic says that brake fluid has dripped onto the abs module, and that this could cause a fire!!! if you have so many complaints why don't you do something about it???are yougoing to replace the parts????

The rear left tire experienced tread separation which caused damage to the rear of the vehicle while driving at 70 mph.tread separated without hitting any potholes or debris. Bf goodrich would only cover the amount of the tread and not the workmanship. *ph

Tread seperation on my bf goodrich 245/70/16 t/a tires that came with my 2002 chevy trailblazer. All 4 tires have cracks around the sidewalls. Should the cracks get deeper, i have been told the tread will seperate from the tires. These have about half the tread life let. Unfortunately, i am told this is a pro-rated problem that seems to have happened to only these 4 tires.

We bought 4 of the bfgoodrich tires, model g-force t/a ( kdws), size 205/55zr16, on december 14, 2000.one year later, on dec. 16, 2001, the tread separated on one of the tires while traveling on route 95 in maryland.the tire had about 9,000 miles on it.today, jan. 3, 2002,the tread on a second tire separated while driving in a parking lot in rockville, md.the tires now have about 18,000 miles on them.the only reason there was no accident or injury is that we stopped as soon as there was a strange feel to the driving and checked the tires.i have been driving for 44 years and have never had a tread separating on a tire until these two.these are clearly defective tires. They should be recalled and the purchasers should be given new tires. Ts

1. Tirepurchased from sears blew-out due to tire valve stem failure. 4/20082. Tirepurchased from sears lost air due to defective tire valve stem. 6/2008.

F150 lariat with tow package purchased new.tires on the vehicle were goodrich passenger tires with proper weight rating.however, when pulling a 24 ft. Travel trailer; the truck and trailer would aggressively sway when hit with light breeze or passing vehicles.nearly lost control of vehicle several times.tested all hitch/trailer/center of gravity/weight aspects and all tested okay.tested pulling trailer at low speed with no wind/other vehicles.discovered the smallest steering input caused severe lateral sway with oscillations becoming stronger without corrective action.the tires, although rated to carry over 2,000 lbs., do not have the sidewall strength to withstand the lateral movements associated with pulling a small travel trailer.i have since replaced these new passenger tires with light truck tires and found that the dangerous sway has been eliminated. I have invested over $850 in new tires in order to ensure the safety of my family and i am very concerned that other ford truck owners might experience a serious collision if they use their truck and towing package to pull a travel trailer if their truck is only equipped with passenger tires.i have contacted the ford dealership, who referred me to mr. Paul berardi, a ford field engineer.mr. Berardi (602-692-6479) has not yet responded to my concerns as of this writing. I contacted him on 3/6/02.a copy of my original letter to the dealership, which was forwarded by them to mr. Berardi, is available to ntsa.

Vehicle hestitates on acceleration, and cuts off.harness, throttle body, throttle body sensor, compressor, egr gasket, plugs, valves, etc., all replaced.problem still exists.manufacturerand dealership can't fix problem.they have had no other complaints of this problem, per steve hickman (man. Rep) and dealership. After replacing harness, steve hickman assured me that the vehicle would be fixed, the vehicle still cuts off and the rpm bounces up and down while the truck is bucking and then it will cut off!! serious safety hazard!! (dot number: hma010900tiresize: p225/70-16)
