Notified dealer of tire struts & shocks on july 19, 2008 by phone. Larry said to come in and pick up warranty and factory warranty and to make an appointment with dodge service dealer lithia dodge for warranty and to purchase an extended warranty. Appointment made to get vehicle fixed.

On several occasions the mechanics customers complained of having slow leaks , the mechanic has found on numerous occasions that the cause was a small piece of paper, the tires upc sticker, which does not allow the tire to seal properly (these manufacturers have this sticker on some of their lines of tires;michelin, firestone, goodyear and b.f goodrich).nlm

Several times when i or my husband have hit the brakes, they lock and instead of stopping the car, itcontinues to slide. I reported this to the technician at silveira pontiac after the first accident in 1998.he told me that was the nature of abs brakes, i had a van before my suburban thjat had abs brakes and i /we never experienced this problem.in feb. 1999 we had the brakes redone atmarin-pontiac-buick-gmcand we were hoping the problem was corrected: however it was not and it resulted in myhaving a second accident.( dot number: unknown tire size: 2457512r16 )

When applying brakes to avoid accidents car goes into skid on dry and wet pavement. Steering wheel will occasionally turn when brakes lock up. Dealer says this is normal for this car. Brake pedal is going all most to the floor before slowing car. Pedal has same pulsing action as it did when drums warped. ( dot number: )

Problems with anti lock brake system on 2003 honda accord ex.*mrwhile braking abruptly the consumer indicated that it took the brakes 3-4 seconds before the responded.once they did the vehicle came to a slow stop and the vehicle came within inches of hitting another vehicle.the consumer was not satisfied with the performance of the v-rated energy michelin tires.the consumer indicated that he tires performed poorly in the rain and snow.the consumer purchased new b.f. Goodrich traction t/a radial all season tires.the consumer likes the performance of these tires but they make noise while driving.

The first brake failure occurred on march 30, 1999 at the intersection of al 150 and i-459 in hoover al.i tried to stop at the light but the suburban just would not stop.the anti lock mechanism did not activate and there was no sliding or skidding.i ran into the back of the car in front of me at about 5 mph.there was rain present, but it was light rain ith no water standing on the road.the second occasion was in houston tx on may 28, 1999.my daughter was driving the suburban on the sam houston toll road when she went to change lanes.she discovered that someone was overtaking her from behind at a high rate of speed in the lane that she wanted to be in.she pulled the wheel in the opposite direction, saw someone in the adjacent lane, pulled the wheel in the opposite direction and applied the brakes, hard.the suburban's rear wheels locked, and the suburban made a 180 degree turn in the middle of the road, and exitted the roadway backward at about 20 mph striking a concrete barrier.i have spent about$1000 making the suburban drivable, and i have not gotten into the body work yet.i feel that both occurances have been caused at least in part by failure of the four wheel anti lock brake system.the right rear wheel threw the tread six days later on the way home.i don't think it was designed to go sideways.( dot number: an11lx1127 tire size: lt24575r16 )

1999 mercury mountaineer tire blow out occurred while driving at 70 mph.***no answer required***. *mrthe consumer was told the rotors were out of round.

Rotors warp too easily under normal driving conditions. Seems to be a debate over wether there exists a tsb for this problem or not. Wether or not a tsb exists, gm needs to fix this known problem so that the rotors don't need to be replaced very 15,000 miles. Mine lasted untill 35,000 miles because they were replaced at around 15,000 miles before they had a chance to warp.( dot number: tire size: p215/60r15 )

Strut tower rubbing on tires causing dangerous amount of wear. The tires on my 2004 pontiac gto show severe wear on the inside corner edges, excessive wear and cupping are prominent. Tires have under 30,000 highway miles, normal commute driving (this is my daily driver not a race car). Even with regular rotation, the tires are so badly worn that the belts are almost exposed. I believe this may be due to the 2004 gto problem of strut tower rubbing. Contact with the strut tower is visibly evident on the strut.i mentioned this to my gm dealer who performed service on my vehicle and they were unaware of any known issues with the gto.

I have had a squeaking noise in the tires for several months. I continued to take it to hyundai and they told me that the tire neededto be replaced and charged me.the squeaking noisewasstill on the driver'sside, so i took it back and they replaced 2 wheel bearings, one in the front andone in the back. Most people know thatoncechanging one you could change all the other on the same side . They refused. I heard a squeaking noise now more than ever, and they claimed they could not hear it. The longer you drive the vehicle the louder it got.this was really costing me my time , and hyundai dealersdid not care about a noise was getting louder.they willnoteven go over my vehicle anymore when i brought it in.they just stated well we did not know what it was. . i have take the vehicle to two different dealers, and neither one of them tookthe time. All they wantedwasmore money for stuff that did notneed to be replaced.

My name is [xxx] and i purchased a 2003 honda accord coupe ex (2-door coupe) from the madison honda dealer located in madison, nj in april of 2003.a few months after i purchased my new car i realized that my car was pulling to the right side of the road.i took my car into honda and they rotated my tires telling me that the problem wasn't an alignment issue but balancing of the tires.i drove my car and realized that is was pulling to the left side of the road, i took my car in again and they re-rotated and balanced my tires.after that, my car started pulling to the right side of the road. I then took my car in again stating that i wanted to have the tires checked out as it appeared that the problem followed the tires.they said the tires were fine and there was something off in my front suspension that they re-adjusted.i drove my car after the adjustment to discover that the car still pulled to the right side of the road. I took it in yet again and drove with a mechanic who told me that this was normal for all 2003 accords to pull to the right side of the road and there was nothing more that they could do as my car was within their specifications.not being satisfied i kept requesting to speak to more individuals within the honda organization only to be told they would do nothing more, that pulling to the right is normal on all cars. I am not satisfied with the answer that honda had given me and i wanted to raise this issue to the national security council as i think this is a very serious risk if my car is pulling to the right side of the road.i could be putting not only myself at danger but others on the road around me.any response would be appreciated.thanks! *nlminformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Had noises coming from front suspension, took vehicleto gm dealer they replaced strut and did alignment under warranty. But had to replace front tires on my own with less than 30,000 on the tires. The set i replaced on the front had both come in contact with the struts and wore the inside of the sidewall out, cut a groove into the driver' s side that blew the tire out. The tires were replacedat 36,000 miles, and now has 8, 000 miles on them andwere showing the same kind of sidewall wear to the fronts. Had the front of the car aligned again and it was to specs. No worn out suspension parts were found. The tire store had noticed this before on other vehicles the same as mine, and had them change tire size to give the tires clearance from the struts. So again another tire change.

2005 pontiac gto purchased in 6/2005 had tires rotated every 6,000 miles. After 19,000 miles in 2/200 2 tires had to be replaced due to struts scraping inside wall of tires.after 22,000 miles in 5/2007 other 2 tires had to be replaced because of same problem. Pontiac dealer charged me $50 for front alignment to move struts away from tires.tire costof $120 b.f. Goodrich tires, size 24545zr17+$21 installment +tax=$152 each.

My car was damaged on the way to wk because i hit a pot hole on new construction. Who would i talk to about this. I almost had a blow out & it was in heavy traffic. The new tarred road has a deep hole & it's a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

I will need to check further to determine the actual date of the accident.the tire in question suffered tread separation while i was stationed in switzerland with the u.s. Foreign service and driving on the autobahn in germany.the tires were original equipment on the car, which was purchased in the u.s.i drove the car from 1993-1994 in guyana, a tropical country in south america. When i heard about the firestone tire recall due to tread separation, especially after being driven in hot climates, i decided to report my 1995 accident.the blowout caused me to lose control of the car, which veered off the highway and slid into a milepost on the driver's side.the car nearly flipped -- when it struck the milepost it leaned over on two wheels before settling back on four.i have always felt that the tire was defective -- there was no proximate cause for the tread separation --and i would like to know whether there is any possible connection to the firestone tire problems.i would also appreciate your advising me whether i should contact the manufacturer and demand compensation of any kind.thank you. This tire separated like you peeled it with a razor blade. I am the attorney and have photos and the tire if they are needed. I would like to know how to get information on these tires and other accidents if possible. 4 month old baby died and mother left with broken neck, vehicle rolled over and that is possibly due to a defect also. Consumer writes in regards to defective tires recall notice and seeks replacement tires and insurance reimbursement. The consumer stated the first tire blowout occurred on june 26, 2012. He did not received a recall notice. However, the tire that blew fell entirely within the range listed on the recall.the manufacturer was provided photos confirming the failure was precisely what was outlined in the recall letter; tread loss and/or rapid air loss rustling from belt separation. In each instance, a vibration preceded the catastrophic tire failure. The vibration was an indicator of imminent failure and not simply road conditions. The second blowout occurred on october 12, 2012. The consumer had just taken the rv to the local discount tire store, to have the tires inspected. The representative saw no obvious damage, and concluded that although they were close to the recall range. They were not within the stated problem range.the consumer left the tire shop and after driving 70 miles, he experienced another tire blowout as before. The tread was completely gone. All that remained was the sidewall and inner layers of rubber. The tire blowout occurred on a dual rear axle.

Due to vibration in steering, i had my tires rotated and balanced in may, 2001.one tire was found to have "thrown" a belt, a defect in the tire.upon contacting bf goodrich it was found that the nearest tire inspector/adjuster was 90 miles from my hometown.i set an appointment for approximately 1 week later.in the meantime i experienced a blow-out of that tire and had to have it patched.according to the inspector/adjuster, the patch deemed any warranty void and no adjustment was made on a new tire.then in september, 2001 i again noticeed similar vibration.i took the vehicle to another tire dealer to have the tires rotated and balanced.another of the tires was found to have "thrown" a belt, which again was said to be a defect in the tire.2 of the 4 original equipment tires experienced the same problem/defect.i contacted bf goodrich with my concern from a safety standpoint but was told as long as the other 2 tires were ok they can only make an adjustment on the current defect issue, priovided i don't have another blow-out in the meantime! The contact owns a 2004 pontiac gto.the contact stated that both front b.f. Goodrich tires on the vehicle were excessively worn.the dealer replaced the tires and aligned the vehicle under warranty.the contact was informed that the vehicle also had a power steering leak.the dealer replaced the power steering rack and aligned the vehicle.the contact has noticed that the two front tires are beginning to wear again.the dot number, tire, purchase date, and mileage information were unavailable.

The front tires failed and one week later the rear tires failed (the advantage plus b.f. Goodrich p21570r15-97s m+s).nlm

In february of 2002 the right front tire was replaced for radial pull. On sunday 6/2 the left front tire was replace for tire separation. On wednesday 6/5 both rear tires failed due to tire separation at different times. The milage for four failures was approximately 18,000 plus or minus 250 miles. I am the original owner of the van and the tires were original equipment. I believe that four different tire failures on the same vehicle indicates a serious quality control issue with all the tires from that manufacturing lot.

B f goodrich tires, sidewall cracking on tire shoulder, tread separating from sidewall on all four tires.

Nar 1/29/2003. The consumers wife noticed deep cracks in the sidewall of tires near the tread.the tire dealer informed the consumer the cracks were due to vehicle being driven against curbs and not because of a defect.

On december 27th, 2000 me and my family were traveling on vacation going east on i-10 out of el paso, tx, right before sonora, tx(mile mark 397 on i-10) i heard a noise coming from the rear of my vehicle and felt my van bouncing from the rear and tried to pull off the road all of a sudden the van pull me completely of the road and rolled over once, fortunately nobody was seriously hurt (i was traveling with my wife and 3 children) when i got out of my vehicle i noticed that the rear left side tire (driver's side) had peeled off the surface thread completely and had gotten of the rim causing the accident previously described. 11/24/12 purchased 2 bf goodrich lt225/75r16/beil jd11 2512 50k mile/6yr warranty. 02/29/16 3700 miles from purchase on i-20 in atlanta noticed a vibration road side inspection found one tire had tread separation/bubbled. 3/1 took tire to an authorized dealer who inspected the tire, deemed it defective, bfg paid $135.00 for a $163.00 new tire. 04/12/16 300 miles later on i-75 s ocala, fl. Experienced a very loud crashing/hitting noise followed by a strong vibration, extreme movement in the rear causing the rv/tow vehicle to violently swerve back/forth between lanes almost losing control in a construction zone, the 2nd tire tread completely came off, causing extensive damage to the rv undercarriage & severely damaging the tow vehicle scattering debris on the highway. The separated tread broke the valve stem on the inner tire (dual rear wheel) unknown to me the rv was driven on the failed steel belts to get to safety. The failed tire caused $16,908.20 in damages to both vehicles. Took failed tire to an authorized dealer, store manager could warranty the tire since it was defective but if i was seeking compensation for vehicle damage, would have to contact bfg directly new tire cost $197.93. Contacted bfg, followed their procedures. 05/25 they refused my claim, claiming under inflation/overload as the rational for denial. Called mr. Ritch townsend, bfg manager, on several occasions explaining the situation that the failure was not from as indicated advised him of the first tire failure that was covered said he would personally inspect this current tire failure & would call me back if they refused the claim & stating to send the refused tire back, 06/27 received the damaged tire back, ritch never called. Cant understand why two tires fail for the same reason within a short period of time/mileage of each other, one is covered no questions but the second, only when additional vehicle damage is claimed denied, seems clear bfgoodrich is covering up a greater tire defect.

Even before i reached 10,000 miles on my car i had to have all 4 tires replaced because the original ones were cupping. I was told that because i had not rotated the tires any warranty would be voided.

A local sears auto center sold me a set of bf goodrich tires in october, 2004 that have shown extreme pre-mature wear. The sears outlet has refused to take any action to correct this.upon consultation with the oem, b.f. Goodrich, i should have never been sold the tire to begin with. It is not the recommended tire for my vehicle per goodrich and this is backed up when doing a web page tire selection search on the bf goodrich web page.these tires have worn 50 % at 15000 miles of use on tires rated for 60,000 miles tread life. They are an "h" rated performance tire that sears sold for my wife's mercury villager mini van...not exactly a high performance vehicle.does the nhtsa have any records on file for application of a bf goodrich ta tire to a mercury villager mini van where a safety occurence has happened ?how can a retail outlet be allowed to sell tires that are not recommended by the oem for the vehicle they are being placed on. Are there government regulations meant to protect the consumer against these unfair trade practices ?what can i do to file a formal complaint with the nhtsa to prevent this kind of misbehavior from occuring to other consumers in the future

I was driving approximately 75-80 mph on i-10 westbound in katy, tx on a sunny day, appx 90 degrees. I noticed the back end of the car sway from side to side. I slowed to approximately 60 mph and then heard a pop and the car started swaying almost uncontrollably and bouncing. Having experienced blowouts before, i knew that i had blown a tire. I pulled into the breakdown lane and noted the driver's side tire was completely shredded around the entire circumference of the tire at the sidewall. I had less than 200 miles on a brand new 2005 roush mustang when this occurred. If i had not had high-speed driving training, i probably would have lost control of the car and crashed into the concrete barrier. I returned to the dealer where i purchased the vehicle and demanded a replacement at no charge. The dealer replaced the tire. I don't know whether the dealer destroyed the defective tire or not. When i asked the dealer what they found when they replaced the tire, the dealer stated that the tire was defective because there was no apparent damage that would have caused the catastrophic failure of the tire. Failure to replace recalled tires.--made over a half dozen calls to bf goodrich and discount tire. Alvin at goodrich said he was sending me a damage claims package in the mail--never received. Brought vehicle into discount tire (nov. 15th, 2016)for inspection and replacement, then sent home. Called back mitch at discount tire (96th ln n., brooklyn park, mn) and he told me he'd definitely call me back before the end of the day--he never did. Called mitch the next day and he again said he'd definitely call me back before the end of the day. Again he didn't. Called goodrich tire nov.19th,2016 and they said they would check on the delay - joe from goodrich called back and said he got no response from mitch at discount tire. Called danny at discount tire and told i needed to come back in (monday nov. 21st) just to measure tread depth, but still not replace (tread depth is still about 9/32 in.(60%+ usable depth)). By monday i'd come down with an illness so never made it in (not that i should since this was just another "put off" ploy.so what i'm getting from goodrich and discount tire is:--stalling--not calling back--making needless trips to their shop.these are dangerous delaminating tires--recall number 12t-019dot be1ljd114910lt 245/75r16. Tire blowout (nov. 1st,2016) damaged the van's right rear quarter panel, wheel well and tailpipe. I was lucky, i've read that delamination of these tires often causes wheel lockup and subsequent vehicle roll-over. So they are endangering my life and others on the road by not replacing these tires.

1. I've had problems with this tire holding air.it has given me problems ever since i purchased it.it was taken to the dealer all through warranty.i've been putting air in it which has cost me a surmountable amt of money ranging from 25 cents to whatever the market charged cost of putting air in it to the current date.it ruined a good tire after 12,000 miles of use; it was rotated all the necessary times; only the right passenger front side tire no matter how many times it was rotated; the same side is faulty; august 2008, a service center discovered the problem. I told them to examine that particular wheel and see if they could figure out what problem exists.they discovered that the wheel is bent in 4 different places. I've had to be towed from my workplace; my auto club has had to send a service shopout to change the tire or pump it up. Sometimes this would happen in my driveway. After warranty it becomes the owner's problem. I believe the mfr and dealer were aware of the problem. An owner of a 2004, new at the time of purchase, also has a cracked wheel. Unless this problem is corrected, it will continue to cost purchasers more monies and accidents if driven over 30-40 miles per hr.this is a mfr's defect.a vehicle in this condition should not be driven on long trips at a high rate of speed, such as on the expressways and interstates.it is dangerous regardless of speed.once air is put back into the tire, within a day's time, driven or not driven, it starts going down. Basically, just being parked, it will go down anyway. With the ethics of the dealership in this area, they probably did the same thing as i've been doing., adding air to the tire and returning it back to me.thank you.

On 03/26/05, i purchased bf goodrich touring t/a pro series (size p205/65r15) for my 2003 sonata at sam's club.in a month and a half, i had 4 flat tires and 10 valves replaced because the hub caps spin and slice the valves.i lost 7.5 hours of work and received a back injury while trying to change one of the tires.i've spoken to hyundai and bf goodrich - both of which suggested getting the h rated tires instead of the s rated.i did that, but it didn't work.i also paid $75 for a diagnostician to tell me that i had the wrong bead on the tires but whom couldn't suggest a solution.my owners manual simply states, always replace your tires with those of the recommended size lists the tire size specifications as p 205/65r15. There is no recommended replacement brand named and no mention about having the correct size beading. I took my car to another dealer and learned that the bf goodrich tires have a bead protectant which cause the hub caps to rest directly against my tires thus causing them to spin. There should be a gap between the hubcap and tire.i switched to a goodyear tire and have not had problems since. The problem with slicing valve stems only occurs on the 15 inches tires with hubcaps (as opposed to the 16 inches tires on aluminum wheels.)

Bf goodrich tires (20565h15) on a 2002 hyundai sonata.after less than 50 miles front left tire went flag due to a severed valve stem.stem was severed by hub cap movement.remounted tire, and tire leaked while driving on highway.removed all hub caps for now.hyundai blaming tire manufacturer, but size is recommended size as stated on auto specifications.this is a potentially dangerous situation for anyone who changes tire brands on this model.tire dealers shoul dbe made aware of this problem before someone is needlessly injured.

Goodrich control plus tires caused problems with 2002 hyundai sonata. *mrthis problem has been present since the first day of ownership.with 25 miles on the tires, a flat tire was present.the tire dealer informed the consumer that the valve stem had been cut and needed to be replaced.two days later another flat tire was present.the left front tire each time.it was recommended to change from a "t" series rated to tire to an "h" rated tire.soon after placing the "h" rated tire, and using a shorter valve stem, the hub caps continued to rotate on the rim, caused by the tire flexing against the hub cap. *sc
