My problem is this indian motorcycle ride is unstable. I have not been able to locate exactly what the problem is. I have been reading on the www that this is very common place with a majority of indian motorcycles. I noticed that other riders report that their motorcycles wobble or shimmy too. This unstability must be investigated. I believe from reading many reports from others motorcycle owners the issue lays in the frame assembly, wheels and tires. I read even one death has been reported. The indian motorcycle company has failed to correct this problem and are very aware on it. The company has made design changes on their 2002 model to avoid future issues, but that does nothing for those with the current problem. (dot number: at3fc4200tiresize: 4.10h19)

Defective avon roar rider motorcycle tires. Side wall crackshttp://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=140853&highlight=avon+crackshttp://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=195660&highlight=avon+cracks.

I purchased front and rear tires from an avon vendor at sturgis, nd in aug 2010. 200 miles later, on my way home, the front tire blew at 70mph. After nearly crashing i managed to get the bike to come to a stop. After receiving a tow i called david alari, the dealer who sold and installed the tires. All i wanted was my money back for the front tire and reinstallation ($256). He would only give me excuses. I will voice my disgust to all who will hear, especially next year at david's sturgis location, how badly i was treated and how dangerous your product is.

This is a report on a avon rear motorcyle tire, model am26 roadrider, size 120/90v17. Tire was purchased and installed on a 1981 suzuki gs 650g motorcyclein august 2008 and driven approximately 500 miles over next severalmonths before going into storage for winter.in march i had returned motorcycle to service and noticed that rear tire had developed cracks near rim.upon this discovery, i contacted company that i had purchase tire from and they sent me a replacement.i have replaced tire and will send tire back to supplier for full refund.no accident occurred, i just realized that it may not be safe to continue using cracked tire.

Purchased in april, 2009 and installed set of avon storm motorcycle tires. The rear tire, size 180/55zr17 (dot at8e ic 3208) less than 3000 miles and about 6 months since install began losing air. This was a slow leak that lost air faster as pressure dropped. Investigation found that bead area was leaking, caused by corrosion at fairly even intervals around the bead area, along with a gouge into the rim at the same spacing as the corrosion. There appears to be a sharp steel wire just at the surface of the bead where it mates to the rim. Tire was installed using murphy's tire lube, and is used on all my tire changes without problem. The corrosion seems to be coming from the tire bead. It creates an unsafe condition that could cause tire pressure failure, possibly a loss of control and subsequent crash with possibility of injury or death. I am taking the tire to the distributor for exchange. I do not know if the tire would be available from them, they would have to keep it for exchange.
