Ameritrac general purchased from wal-mart 72653. Two truck tires p245/70r17 on 2 days with 7100 miles had failure on left side tire at center.tire designegrated from center;2nd tire tread started to fail at time of 1st tire failure. Wal-mart tires 72653 @9:50am confirmed other similar tire failures. Please check these tires. Tl-contact owns a 2011 dodge ram 3500..... Complaint...tires...general ameritrax tires.... Treading split apart on fron drivers side tire and tire blew out causing major damage to vehicle on main interstate at 70mph.... No recall on ameritrac tires at this time. December 11th 2017 tire blew out on main interstate.
The contact owns a 2005 ford f150.the vehicle has ameritrac suv, size p265/70r16 tires.the contact noticed that portions of the rear driver side and front passenger side tires were missing.the tire dealer stated that the tires needed to be replaced, however, no replacements have been made.the dot number was unknown.the current mileage was 27,000 and failure mileage was 23,000.

Driving on us27 the right rear tire separated, causing $2800 worth of damage to the right side, moldings, bumper abd tail light assembly.tires had about 14,000 miles on them, were properly inflated and about 18 months old.after inspection all remaining tires had the beginnings of tread separation.i am submitting a claim with general tire.
