My 2002 ford windstar van gear shift pin keep coming up and i have to take it to a shop so they can put the pin back in 3 times. My gears do not shift right it shifts hard. I brought this van brand new in 2003. Also my air bag light stays on the avis ford body shop said my sensor is rusted out, also my abs light stays on. I don't feel these things should go out. I have had many ford vehicle brand new for years and never had these problems. I still got to get these things repair.i also had two front windshield wiper motors put in and the wipes are still not right. Is there any help out there.
In july 2017 i bought a pair of rain x blades with "water repelling technology" at an advance auto parts store here in alexandria, va. I immediately observed that after each pass of the blades, a moisture haze appeared on the windshield, making it nearly impossible to see clearly. Up until this point, the windshield had been in fine condition and i planned to keep the windshield as long as i owned the car. I showed this problem to the manager of the advance auto parts store where i bought the rain x blades. He said the blades had damaged my windshield and told me i should contact rain x. In august 2017 i called itw global brands in houston, tx (the parent company of rain x). They told me that i should apply an abrasive cleanser called soft scrub to the windshield. I took their advice, but the soft scrub made no difference and the haze continued to appear after each swipe of the wiper blades. It was too dangerous to drive this way, so i had a new windshield installed at safelite. Please understand that the blades did not leave a film on the windshield.rather, the water repelling technology chemicals seemed to seep in and permeate into the glass.please also understand this is a real phenomenon in the windshield wiper industry, which could lead to catastrophic consequences on our streets and highways.if you do a google search on the phrase "wiper blade haze," you will see countless entries from other people facing the same problem.there is no known solution, other than to have a new windshield installed. For make and model of the equipment, i only chose window wiper technologies and dual linkage because i had to choose something from the drop-down menu to proceed.but these are not accurate selections.

I own a 1997 chevrolet blazer.a few years back the windshield wipers stopped working while i was driving in a heavy rainstorm on a high traffic expressway.it was a very dangerous situation as there was no visibility due to the wipers stopping.i contacted chevrolet and repairs were made at a dealership.on monday, december 15, 2008, i was driving in a rainstorm and once again the wipers failed.i contacted chevrolet and they gave me a service request claim no. And made an appointment at the same dealership to have the vehicle diagnosed.they told me that i was responsible for the diagnostic fee and no guarantee that they would be responsible for the repair charges.i believe this is a hazardous problem to myself, passengers, other motorists, and pedestrians.this is the 2nd incident.i checked for re-calls on this and there are none.
Driver side low beam light headlight does not work all the time on my 2009 saturn outlook that i just purchased on april 5th, 2011.after researching the problem and trying to fix the issue myself, found that there have many numerous reports of the wiring harness being wrong wire gauge that gm placed on this vehicle.it is very difficult to change the bulbs, having to remove front bumper and/or the undercover of the driver side fender well.does not make sense to have to do all this just to replace a headlight, plus, why would gm put incorrect wiring harness on this extremely nice vehicle...recall should/must be issued immediately very dangerous not have driver side headlight work when it wants to and it happens very very frequently, have to knock on the light assembly and sometimes it comes on, most of the time it stays off...i have purchase replacement bulbs but looking like its the wiring harness is the problem, according to all the other complaints i continue to read on-line.i am going to attempt to replace, but a recall is a must!!!
The windshield wiper motor failed to operate on 2004 honda accord while my wife was driving the vehicle with my two children during a rain storm.she pulled off to safety, until the rain passed, and proceeded to a safe location.the vehicle has 85,000 odometer miles, and is beyond the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.i noticed the 2003 honda accord had a recall relating to the wiper motor failing due to corrosion.i called american honda august 28, 2009 regarding the problem i was experiencing with the 2004 accord and they advised me to take it to a dealer to diagnose, and if in fact the part number and condition were the same as they were experiencing with the 2003 they would stand behind their product and take care of it. I was assigned a case number n012009-082801597.on sept 9, 2009 i was able to get an appointment with performance honda dealership to diagnose and fix the problem.tom riley from their service department (manager) tried to contact american honda regarding the problem and they did not acknowledge the problem as their responsibility, although it was the exact same part number (76505-sda) that is failing in the 2003 model and the exact same condition of failure they have seen in the 2003 models. Performance honda replaced the windshield wiper motor at a cost of $239.67.this is a major safety item, and realizing the 2008 recall of the same issue, same part in the 2003 model, i suggest that the recall be expanded to include more vin's before a serious accident occurs as a result.i am appalled that american honda knows they have a safety problem with this component, but is failing to do anything to address the problem.as a professional engineer, i feel compelled to report this critical safety issue. I have an 08 ford expedition. The power windows have failed numerous times and have become a distraction when i'm driving. I almost rear ended someone today due to this defect. Ford has rebuilt them a couple of times and repaired them at least 3 other times. They were rebuilt 2 months ago and have failed again.
Good morning, i am writing in regards to the issue outlined below.i have cut and pasted the email i received from general motors in regards to my inquiry about intermittent wipers on our 1996 s-10 blazer.as i emailed back to general motors, our vehicle has over 70,000 miles (exclusion of special policy 02054); however, i a few concerns: 1)general motors replaced a defective part with another defective part.2)general motors is using the age/mileage of a vehicle to avoid replacing a defective item that is a major safety issue - causing reduced visibility.i would appreciate your clarification on this issue.thank you for your assistance!best regards, charles beckemail from general motors:thank you for contacting the chevrolet customer assistance center.we appreciate your owning a 1996 blazer and we apologize for your dissatisfaction and frustration over the repairs that have been needed on the windshield wipers.your blazer was included in the recall for the windshield wipers that was issued in 1998.this repair was completed on your vehicle in december of 1998.now it appears that your blazer may be included in special policy #02054, which covers wiper failure due to a cracked circuit board:some customers of 1996-1997 chevrolet blazer, s10 pickupvehicles not involved in recall 98043 may experience a windshield wiper failure due to cracked solder joints on the controller circuit board.this special policy covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (112,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership, or for those vehicles currently outside of this coverage, until february 29, 2004. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.we have created a computer file, 1-172249532, to notate your concerns.
Low windshield washer sensor, this sensor has been replaced or cleaned every 4 - 6 months since i have owned the truck new.i have complained to the dealer and filed a complaint with chrysler corp.the dealership has said i need to dilute the windshield washer fluid or that this is normal in the winter, well it happens in the summer too.i just want them to turn off this sensor or alarm.
My complaint is about a car wash that broke my wipers and scratched my windshield beyond repair - silverpoint car care center in college point, ny.this happened on sunday 9/19/2010 at 16:42.when they damaged my car, they took full responsibility.they gave me a written, signed statement that they would pay for the damages.when they found out the repairs were more expensive than they thought, they lied and said the damage was out fault because we forgot to turn off the rain sensor.this is a lie the rain sensor was definitely off.furthermore, they never told us to turn it off or posted anywhere that it had to be turned off.regardless, it was off and they already signed something saying the damage was their fault and they would fix it.now we are on the hook for a $500 deductible with our insurance company and we even had to pay for the $12 car wash.these people are liars and cheaters.they are incompetent.please help us and protect other people who might be taken in by them.they need to be investigated and shut down.
