My 2007 kia optima seems to be having issues with the driver side airbag and randomly with the radio/cruise control setting on the steering wheel. My problems did not appear to start until after the steering column was replaced back in october of 2009 due to the noises that was coming from it. The air bag light has recently come on and stays on. One dealer said that the code that they were getting is that clock spring in the steering column need to be replaced again and would not be covered. Another dealer states that they are not getting any codes and the air bag would need to be replaced at $1200.00. The noise from the steering column can still be heard and i was told that it is the bearing in the steering column and there is nothing that they can do about that. The issues with the controls on the steering wheel is random and the dealer states that it never duplicates for them. Now that the warranty period is over i would have to pay out of pocket even though some of the issues started before the warranty was out and it was supposed to be noted in their system. Kia headquarters open up a case with no resolution other than no of the dealers called their helpdesk for help or made any claims of my issues. They suggested they i take the car back and have the dealer call them and reference the case number. I have check to see if there has been in recalls on my particular vehicle and it appears to have not been any. Although there have been other kia owners to post this same issues on the internet and basically have the same results there are still no recalls. Just the dealers try this and that. The owners paying for what supposed to be the resolution to the problem and it really is not. The problem may go away for a while and then shortly return. It is more like getting the run around with wasted time and money.

Recall announced, told had to wait for letter for repair. Brought vehicle back same problem. Then fixed. Vehicle at 1700 miles driving like stick shift car jumps as changing gears. May jump as breaking causing an incomplete timely stop. Currently at 2200 miles driving rough on road and shifting self as driving so power will immediately increase then decrease. Scared to drive new vehicle. Dealership treating me as crazy and that should wait for additional recalls before bringing vehicle in. This has all taken place before initial payment was even made. Very disappointed in quality.

Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)october - december 2009on two (2) separate occasions, my 2007 toyota camry accelerated without apparent cause.the second incident happened after i had been shopping at the huntington mall for christmas. I was coming up to a redlight behind several automobiles when the car accelerated.i veered to the right side of the road to avoid hitting the automobile in front of me and braked as hard as i could. I also put the automobile in park as soon as i could.before this, i had an incident of slight acceleration, but i don't recall exactly when or where-just that i mentioned to my husband that i felt the car didn't want to stop when i applied the brake.on january 6, 2010, i took the camry to the dealership in which i purchased it for a routine oil change and requested the service department to look at the accelerator pedal.on january 22, 2010, the camry had to be towed into the dealership due to a busted oil tube (which was later identified as a recall) and again, i asked the repair department to check the pedal.my husband accompanied me to pick the car up later that afternoon and when i asked if the pedal had been checked, the service advisor told my husband that the pedal had been checked and he had driven the car and couldn't find any problems.the service advisor related to us that "something about a recall was on the news about 4:00 a.m. That very morning".after the public recall and two letters addressing this issue with the dealership, i was finally contacted by the dealership to bring my automobile in for recall repairs.since that time, i've taken the camry in for a steering wheel concern, which warranted no apparent cause, and recently experienced another incident with acceleration.the acceleration was more of a revving of the engine rather than an out of control acceleration.i would like others to know about these incidence and hopefully avoid injuries.[xxx]

A windshield made in mexico by crinamex has repeatedly been damaged by particles as small as grit and broken by two pebbles that would not break a windshield meeting proper design standards. It is my judgement that this company is labeling substandard windshields as meeting dot standards.this needs to be fully investigated before someone is killed by an object penetrating a substandard windshield.this windshield has only been in service a few months!

Bad actuator on the 2006 jeep liberty windows. This is the 4th time i need to get the window fixed. It has never been corrected. There is a new actuator suppose to be better but have to replace the window also. Bad thing about it the window can fall down and it would be unsecured.

Ford escape 2001 master brake cylinder and brakes failed causing accident when i totally lost my brakes. 1 day after ford dealership replaced master brake cylinder. Ford has faulty master brake parts.

Failure of onstar system for almost a year now, the system has not worked fully.have gone through many if not all the departments at onstar with no remedy.system worked when i first bought vehicle but when onstar says they uploaded to new system then it started going downhill including when i was sent to reps in their tech support i was told their programmers said my vehicle was one of the ones that did not come back online and they know about it but don't know when they will have it fixed.the system can be sometime works sometimes doesn't including their smartlink app which acts up and doesn't work fully.this is an ongoing problem that started back about december 2014 and continues to this day.i have been on the phone with them, filed complaints on their website with no remedy.what is a consumer to do?i continue to have problems and have done all they ask me to do.this is an ongoing problem starting in december 2014.please advise asap.

On oct 10th at 8:10am i was on the 215 frwy between 4th st. In perris and hwy 74, i guy lost his ladder and kept going, it hit one car and came at me just as it hit the ground i rolled over it, my gas tank was crushed and a police car went pass with his lights on and i thought he was going after the guy, but no one came to help, i was just wondering if there was a report on this and if so where can i get the information, my insurance needs it.*la

2010 chevrolet silverado 1500 z71 lt ext. Cab, driver front seat foam dealership said they replaced, but the seat is angled to the left and the seat back (what you lean back on), is leaning back on the left.seat belt crosses over left breast around your neck.the seat (what you sit on) slants down on the left. This throws your whole body off balance driving down the road and you are at an awkward position driving in my vehicle and the dealership said they have done all they can do to remedy the problem.my truck was purchased brand new and shortly after i noticed the front seat back was twisted toward the front and i took it back and that is when all the trouble began.if there were to be a collision and the air bag in the steering column deploy, it would in fact make your head go off the headrest because your head is at the edge on the left.i received a letter from the dealership that the seat meets gm specifications, but i have had three different people sit in the seat and all say it is crooked.i have called the gmc customer service department and now i have to take the truck back to the dealership again on monday for the same problem, so a representative can inspect the vehicle.i was told that this truck could be fixed, but the problem is worse and now the seat does not go back as far as it did when new and the whole driver side automatic seat looks like it has been switched out and i know it has three different times because the seat looks warn and the foam is squashed down and the padding in the back and frame wiggle around.the seat in my truck, when i purchased it, were firm and now they are loose.popping noises i keep hearing, like something is breaking loose, under the seat.the lumbar, if you can sit straight up, hits you in yourback, right side at lumbar and left side way above your hip.what does this tell you?but, i feel, since i paid cash for this vehicle, that they will not fix anything and it only has abt. 10,800 miles on it.

Helmet laws, legislation or other acts to place helmets on bike riders needs to stop.a more effect strategy would be accident prevention through education and on-bike training. The highways need to be made safer for all users of the roads - i feel rope and metal barriers to be very dangerous to motorcyclists.on windy stretches of highways, why not install flags or similar items so the drivers of vehicles can determine wind direction and strength.if you are hell bend to requiring helmet usage for the small population of mc riders - why not require helmet usage for all passengers and drivers of all motor vehicles.head injuries are a big factor in automobile accidents.the severity of head injuries can be reduced by the use of a helmet - i know this would not be a good politically correct solution.a better strategy would be to require license retesting every 4 to 6 years and mandatory re-education at least every 10 years.you need to start concentrating on accident prevention instead of modifying the equipment to increase survivability.you will get a bigger bang for your dollars by concentrating on prevention.

My 2000 jeep cherokee laredo has been swapped-it seems to be a simple procedure for ones in my area , the vehicle passes as the one i purchased but several things are different, i would like someone to please look into this matter.i haven't went to the police about this matter, because i need someone with the knowledge and understanding of the specifics in this model/make vehicle to be able to prove what is going on with the jeeps in my area,i don't want to be driving around in a stolen vehicle that the vin #s have been change on, this vehicle is not the vehicle i purchased, the man at the dealership even remembers certain things being different than they are now.
