I had a one car accident & the air bags on the side of the drivers door injured both of my legs.my left leg had the inside cut to the bone & skin ripped off, could not walk for 8 weeks, had plastic surgery. Large indented scar now with swelling of leg, otherwise leg works fine. My right leg has a large hematoma with swelling, no broken skin. The paramedics felt it was the air bags that caused the problem.. Car was totaled, make is 2007 camry, computer would not allow me to put in make of car.

Please looking into the lexus rx330 models. I previously owned a 2005 lexus rx330. I didn't experience the brake problems or acceleration. What i experienced that once i press on the brake at a red light or stop. The vehicle tend to still be moving slightly forward. Then i would have to press the brakes harder in order for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. This was at 5mph or less. I believe it's the computer controlled unit for the gas. You can actual feel in the break and engine that the vehicle does not want to come to a complete stop. I also went thru the recall to replace the cover on the driver side that the dealer stated it was causing the floor mat stuck to the gas pedal. In my opinion it's the cpu that may be causing the problem. You can hear and feel the engine still having a slight roar after the brake is pressed on, as if gas is still being applied or reduced in the engine.

The radio/cd unit when changing stations will turn unit off and eject a cd from the unit. This occurs intermittently. In addition the backlight display flashes on and off intermittently. Dealer states that no problem has been found when troubleshooting.

My check engine light keeps coming on.i spent 2000 on it for repairs and maintenance last year. I have changed 5 sensors.

On sept 6,2006. The trac off, vsc trac and check engine lights are coming. My 2003 sequoia only has 31,786 miles and paid $2891.48 for the service. Today 8-26-09 my car only has 58,000 miles and the trac off, vsc trac and the check engine lights are coming back, they want to charge to fix the same problem. I am not sure they fixed the previous problem in 2006? because i asked them to save the parts and give it to me when i pick up the car, but they did have it, something is fishy? if they replace now the problem is back, my car have low miles. I do some research on the internet, could be the problem from the toyota, they need to "recall" all sequoia to fix the problem. I don't want pay $3,000 every 2 years or every 30,000 miles.

I have a toyota rav4 2002-in may 2006 i went to military training school, i got back oct 2006 while driving my engine failed on the hwy. I took it to toyota and they told me it was 420 miles over the warranty and it was not covered. I did all my required upkeep and maintenance and to my surprise it had oil sludge. He claims its from sitting but alot of vehicles sit and do not have problems especially military members that are deployed. I had to pay 3989.00 for a used engine. After researching and finding out 2001 -03 camry and lexus had the same problems and were recalled. I fought got and attorney and still no recall. I hope to have a civil lawsuit with toyota because of this but it never happened. March 2007 my transmission went out while on the hwy. I was driving and notice it kept jerking. Then it would hesitate getting into gear and reverse. I took it to a toyota dealer and they told me my transmission is going out and it would cost 4980.00. Ok let me break downthe existing problems up until this point. The drivers door electric locking system went out it was repaired 4 times, the check engine light never goes off said its a electrical problem. The alarms comes on and will not go off even when door key or key pad is indicated. So i had to unhook. Yesterday march 31st i was done with the rav 4. I have notice that more than 35 % of owners have this problems and toyota refuses to recall.

I took my 2004 toyota highlander v6 to longo toyota for brake booster recall in november 2010. They kept my car nearly 7 weeks before repair was completed. A few days after picking up my vehicle, while i was parked dropping off my passenger, most of the control panel lights illuminated (brakes, abs, trac off, vsc, check engine).i reported this to the dealer. They said to bring the car back. I took the car back and diagnostic tests were run and concluded that a code was stored but it was nothing specific that had failed.brake system was bled.in june 2011, the light cluster ("christmas tree" is how the dealer refers to it) illuminated again while i was attempting to pick up my car from my local toyota dealer (bob smith toyota).again, the car was left. Again it was reported to me that the system had stored a code but no specific component was in failure and the brakes were bled. Approximately, july 20, 2011 andjuly 23, 2011, the lights illuminated again, only four of them (trac off, vsc, abs, brakes). I contacted the toyota dealer on tuesday, july 26 and was forcing the issue on july 29, 2011 and made an appointment for august 1, 2011. On july 31, 2011, the same four lights illuminated while driving and stayed on. I stopped, turned off the engine, restarted the vehicle, and experienced a very spongy, squishy brake pedal. I contacted toyota motor corporation to further address the concern of my vehicle now being unsafe as a result of their recall. Toyota motor corporation was vague and said that the matter could only be addressed by longo toyota, the dealer that performed the recall, since the parts warranty would only be with them. In contacting bob smith toyota, the service advisors swears that the problem can be resolved by them. It appears that performing the recall weakened the integrity of my brake system. As one representative said, "you will not have a catastrophic failure and you will still be able to stop. It will just take longer."

Air pressure sensors.

Toyota prius (2008) hatch release rubber cover piece detached and tore apart. Note that my rx300 selection of make/part number is bogus, as i have no way of knowing who made this rubber component.

2002 toyota highlander.both sunvisors faulty.hit a bump and they will fall down in front of vision.crash hazard in certain driving situations, especially driving uphill or trying to look at a traffic light.they suddenly fall and obscure upward vision.

After only about 3-4 years use, the rubber cover on the hatch release handle (the exterior handle of the rear hatch) of our 2007 toyota prius has melted into a sticky tarry black rubbery gooey mess. I can best describe it as being a viscous black glob like roofing tar. To open the hatch, you have to touch this black goo each time, which makes it difficult to operate the hatch release. We believe this melting process started at about the 3 yr. Mark. I thought that this might be a singular issue, but have found that this has happened to several car owners. Toyota knows about this, and is selling the entire wiring harness for $96 plus repair costs, and has done nothing about a recall. From a safety perspective, this means you can experience extreme difficulty opening the rear hatch (a life safety access point), and will get sticky black tar on you from the melted down rubber cover of the exterior hatch release handle. To me, this is both a serious life safety issue and a serious quality defect that toyota is opting to ignore and only fixing on vehicles with extended warranties, since the failure appears to occur at around the 3 year mark. I am aware of the outstanding work done by nhtsa on other safety issues, so i am asking for your agency to take a look at these instances and also to inquire from toyota why they are not recalling these handles that are melting. A door handle or hatch handle should be made to last more than 3 years. For more reports of this problem, please review this forum:http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...runk-hatch-release-rubber-piece-melted-4.htmlthank you for your assistance!

The transmissions in lexus rx300 models are unsafe.the transmission in my rx300 had to be replaced at 70,000 miles and again at 120,000 miles.lexus is not standing behind their product.there have been numerous complaints about the transmission in the rx300 model.lexus will not acknowledge this defect.also, i was misled at the dealership the first time they replaced the transmission.i was assured that the transmission was not "refurbished", when, indeed, it is not a new transmission.the definition of the word "refurbished" was in question.the transmission going out repeatedly and so early in the rx300 model is a safety hazard.lexus' failure to acknowledge the problem and their decision to wait until someone has a problem with the transmission is a safety issue in itself.

I have a toyota tundra 2005 that has had the throttle drivers updated.i have had at least 6 incidences of uncontrolled acceleration.these incidences occur at slow speed in muddy situations.depressing the brakes to the floor does not stop the vehicle and i have had several near misses.this occurs in 2 wheel drive and i believe it has to do with the vsc and software.the only way to stop the throttle or unwanted momentum is to throw the vehicle into neutral.even this does not immediately help.i recommend the ignition key as the quickest way to stop this.additionally, our company has a newer tundra that is getting fixed under the recall.this truck has experienced similar situations with other employees driving.slow speeds in 2 wheel drive, in muddy situations the truck pushes you uncontrollably.i will investigate more once the truck is returned with the recall repairs. This all is related to the vsc system and the software.please have an investigator call me.i believe that i can easily reproduce this situation in the vehicle.these vehicles are unsafe and toyota needs to address these issues.i don't believe the current recall is addressing the issue!

Owner of 2008 lexus es received recall notice for issue with sudden acceleration. Car was taken to lexus service dept for repairs. However a month or so later, the car suddenly accelerated getting up to speed of approx 70 mph in a residential area. Brakes did not stop or slow car down.as a result, two parked cars were hit, and damaged residents yards before running head on into a tree in someone's yard. The driver and passenger were injured.

My check engine light keeps coming on.i spent 2000 on it for repairs and maintenance last year. I have changed 5 sensors.

I am not sure i am using this form correctly, it would be nice to get a confirmation email.my complaint is about the new navigation system being installed on the new toyotas.i bought a 2016 and discovered they are making us use a navigation system called scout gps that requires the driver to focus on a list of directions on a small screen for details while driving.while driving we are not allowed to enter data for safety reasons but this new system does this in the opposite by requiring the driver to attempt to follow a list of written directions while driving.the map function which was large on previous nav systems is now reduced to a small size and lines of text replace the easy to use map.this new nav system is as dangerous as texting and talking while driving.the later fields on this form do not quite offer a true way to file my complaint so some of it may not be right.

The radio/cd unit when changing stations will turn unit off and eject a cd from the unit. This occurs intermittently. In addition the backlight display flashes on and off intermittently. Dealer states that no problem has been found when troubleshooting.

Our 2005 toyota sienna took off on us in rush hour traffic.moving my foot to the brake and my husband shifting into neutral was the first thing we tried, we also tried park and reverse, and turning off the cruise control, none of which worked.the toyota sienna death trap continued to accelerate rapidly even though my foot was jammed on the brake (i didn't remove my foot from the brake for another 2 1/2 hrs until the tow truck pulled in front of us.by the way, when your vehicle is suddenly traveling much, much faster than anyone else's vehicle on the road, it's all you can do to not hit someone.believe me, i was suddenly swerving in and out of the lanes and cutting everyone off.the only thing that stopped our toyota death trap was pulling the key from the ignition, certainly not ideal in rush hour traffic.while this was going on, our son was in the backseat calling 911, while our daughter cried.we don't have a lawyer and toyota won't fix our van.what are we supposed to do with it?

My 1999 rx 300 has 110k miles on it. The transmission went out in the middle of street and almost got an accident. I did some research, its definitely a manufacturer's defect.there are so many other owners with same problem. Please let me know if you guys can investigate this.

Toyota rav4 makes popping and clunking noise when steering wheel is turned. This is due to looseness in the intermediate shaft splines and joints (total cost:$468; part numbers 45221-42071 [steering intermediate shaft] and 45260-42090 [steering shaft assembly]). This is a potential safety hazard and toyota refuses to issue a recall. It is a product defect in steering intermediate shaft as evident by the tsb issued by toyota.

We bought our brand new 2017 toyota camry se, 4 weeks ago, it shakes violently during normal driving speeds & freeway speeds. Our brand new car's all 4 bridgestone tires were replaced 2 week's ago and the problem has only gotten worst even with new tires. The dealership took another brand new car from the lot and it had the same problem. We've tested 3 other cars with michelin & bridgestone tires and they all shake. The dealership has validated that the cars are shaking but has failed to fix the problem. In the last 4 weeks since we purchased the car the car's been in the shop the last two weeks - and is still in the shop. It makes me dizzy driving the car. For me this is at minimum a safety issue and now causing health problems. Toyotanation website shows many other owners with the same problem. 2006 lexus rx330 dashboard cracking i'm afraid that the passenger airbags are going to come out.

Error code p0442 on my 2002 camry shows the fuel filler is defective.there is a warranty recall on the part: eg022-06 m.i.l. "on" dtc p0440 (etc.) fuel filler tube improvement.this was issued 4/11/06 effective for 36 months after in-service date for 2002 cars.as you can see, this is essentially undoable, given the dates.

2003 toyota matrix the vehicle odometer currently shows 57,108 miles. On january 24th, the clutch went out and would not shift into gear. The car was towed ($45) to our mechanic at polly's shell in nashville and we paid the following amount to have the clutch replaced: clutch set:$268additional parts: 42tow: 45labor: 455oil: 38the total bill with other items came to more than $900.00. A copy of the original receipt is enclosed. When we examined the clutch, the pressure plate disc had broken into four equal parts. In addition to our regular mechanic, other mechanics at polly's commented that the fact the mechanism broke equally into four parts is obviously the result of a manufacturer's defect since this type fracture had nothing to do with the way the vehicle was driven.

Accelerator entrapment in aftermarket floor pad of a lexus rx 300 last september. (i don't know what kind of floor pad, i bought it in 1999 and installed it then,it is one of the thick ones that is good a holding snow and water.) i figured out that the floor pad was the problem while the engine was revving to 90 mph and the brakes would not stop the car.lexus could find nothing wrong but said nothing to me about this being a problem in toyota products.no crash and no injury since i figured it out; the floor mat felt thick to my foot so i yanked it out from under the pedals.just really scary....specifically, i came out of a side street on to a main road and needed to get ahead of traffic so i stomped in the accelerator pretty hard- not my typical driving style- and then the accelerator stuck, the car revving and going to 90- 100 mph.i stood on the brakes but it would not stop.i tried to throw it into park ( but thankfully the car wouldn't let me- i was thinking about trying to use the parking brake to stop it, but it doesn't have a hand brake so that's why i was so stupid and tried to throw it in park.the noise from that was so horrifying i did not put it in neutral). Then i felt the lumpy floor mat and yanked it out from underneath the pedals.it was late at night and there were no cars on the road so i had a mile of clear road to work this out.car had about 275,000 miles on it.built in july 1998, jt6h10u7x0032830 is seriali can't give you the exact date because i can't find the service receipt- sorry!

Toyota prius (2008) hatch release rubber cover piece detached and tore apart. Note that my rx300 selection of make/part number is bogus, as i have no way of knowing who made this rubber component.

I took my 2004 toyota highlander v6 to longo toyota for brake booster recall in november 2010. They kept my car nearly 7 weeks before repair was completed.
