In 2007, i had purchased a toyota corolla le.i had not noticed this problem until 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle.the problem lies with the airbag not flushed with the dashboard and creates dips and valleys.the passenger airbag is sunk into the dashboard.after speaking with the dealer, they replaced the airbag and told me to let it sit for a while and the airbag and dashboard would align.however, after letting it sit for nearly two years, it is still the same condition.on almost every oil change, i would complain about the problem to the dealership and they would advise me to give it some more time.i filed a complaint with toyota customer satisfaction department and they researched the case.in the end, the toyota customer satisfaction department told me that there is nothing they can do.they informed me that they have sold many 2007 corolla's that are known to have this problem with the airbag.they cannot guarantee me that because the airbag sinks into the dash, it will deploy when it needs to.

I received a recall notice in july 2015. I called my local toyota dealership to schedule a date to repair the passenger side airbag.failure to repair could result in serious injury or death to a passenger if the airbag deploys.toyota told me the part is back ordered, there are 150 people ahead of me on the wait list and they are not sure when the part will be in. In the meantime, toyota recommends that no one sits in the passenger seat.not only is this a huge inconvenience, but a poorly implemented recall plan.

Had my oil changed tires rotated ,filled up gas ,then when i left gas station ,i noticed white smoke coming from my exhaust, barley made it approximately 3 miles . Indications of blown head gasket, has there ever been a recall on this type of problem?please respond asap if there has ,thanks miss pam west.

I have a 02 tundra sr5 have a serious problem w/steering column shaft when i try to put on drive the gear shift lever broke free causing unexpected gear select. I have to remove the plastic cover in order to hand select the gear the aluminum shaft sub-assy control broke off at the screw attach to the column support this is appear to be a flawed design for attach the shift lever. I have to replace the whole housing for the column shifter and their support. The old part is available for further stress analysis / design modification for subsequence model.

I have a 2003 toyota tundra access cab. I recently was putting my 5 year-old daughter into their back seat and she put her hand up to stabilize herself and the entire front passenger side safety belt harness and casing which is supposed to be permanently attached to the frame came complete off of the frame. There was no undue stress put on the harness or casing and no pressure was applied. There is now a hole where the bolt was once permanently attached to the frame. I called my local dealership for the sake of convenience and made an appointment for 12-12-08 at 8:30 am. They said it would take about an hour. I took it in and the service guy was very kert and said that it would take a minimum of 3 hours and cost $104.00. Finding this unacceptable, i told him i did not feel i should pay to have a basic part of the car's safety looked at. I can understand if it is a diagnostic test. But it is a safety belt! my other safety belt on the drivers side creeks which makes me wonder if there is something wrong with that one as well. I am glad i did not find out the passenger side safety belt was defective during the course of an accident. Any assistance and/or guidance you can give on this important matter would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted toyota as well who told me that it is a warranty issue and it is out of warranty.

Toyota sienna 2007 having brake problems in 2008 i have brake problems so i take it to dealer they changed all brake partsnow i have same problem pls help me in this.

The headlights on the 2007 prius turn off by them self.if youturn them off and back on they will be back on and turn off again, this is how i know it is not a lose wire.i worked with a fleet of prius and lexus hybrid cars.the prius has had this issue since 2006.multiple cars witthe same symptoms.the toyota dealershipcharges you up to $ 1,700 + to fix this issue.there are forums all over the net discussing this issue and many concern drivers on the road that do not know how to utilize the power of the internet.this is no longer a money issue, it has become a safety issue now.police have ticketed me over 5 times and i have gone to toyota and they charge me thousands.last week i almost ran over a little girl on a bike at dusk ...when i stopped and asked if she was okshe replied " i didn't see your lights sir, i am sorry" .

Toyota prius 2010.brakes not working when on slippery service and when hitting bumps.

The car seats are cloth and the material is ripping.everywhere in the car, front and back seats, even on the head rests.i would like to have all the seats replaced with leather.i've hadpart of the back seat replaced, its ripping again.i'm not satisfied at all!!!

Hatch latches should not melt down in 2-3 years, and access to the hatch is a life safety issue.as with many other 2007 toyota prius vehicles the rubber material on the handle of the rear hatch has been deteriorating on my 2007 toyota prius and is getting more difficult to use.without an expensive replacement by toyota the part will fail beyond the ability to open the rear hatch.toyota refuses to recall the part and replace it as a defective part.

2002 toyota v6 se; front brake discs caused severe steering wheel shaking when slowing from 40 to 35 mph. Dealer originally replaced all front brake system at about 15000 miles under a toyota bulletin.at 60,000 miles began to have same problem which became uncontrollable at about 75,000 miles.out of warranty, so owner replaced front rotors and problem seems to be corrected.... No toyota recall.....

I have a 2004 toyota prius.since 2004, my headlights have gone out 5 times.the right headlight has gone out 3 times and the left 2 times.the last time i replaced the right headlight, it did not last 12 months.

After only about 3 years use, the rubber cover on the hatch release handle (the exterior handle of the rear hatch) of our 2007 toyota prius, melted into a sticky tarry black rubbery gooey mess. I can best describe it as being a viscous black glob like roofing tar. To open the hatch, you have to touch this black goo each time, which makes it difficult to operate the hatch release. We believe this melting process started at about the 2 yr. Mark. I thought that this might be a singular issue, but have found that this has happened to several car owners, particularly in florida. I live in louisiana . Toyota knows about this, and is selling the entire wiring harness for $600, and has done nothing about recalling this. From a safety perspective, this means you can experience extreme difficulty opening the rear hatch (a life safety access point), and will get sticky black tar on you from the melted down rubber cover of the exterior hatch release handle. To me, this is both a serious life safety issue and a serious quality defect that toyota is opting to ignore and only fixing on vehicles with extended warranties, since the failure appears to occur at around the 3 year mark (ie after 3 years of exposure to the bright sun in louisiana, for example). I am aware of the outstanding work done by nhtsa on other safety issues, including the problem with rusty frames on 02 isuzu axioms, and i find this problem to be similar in nature, so i am asking for your agency to take a look at these instances and also to inquire from toyota why they are not recalling these handles that are melting in the sun!!! it's outrageous. I think a door handle or hatch handle should be made to last more than 3 years.and now my trunk won't open and it is about detach from the car because of the extra pulling needed to open it. Why has it not been recalled? it should be mandatory. They told me i would have to pay over $600 to do it at the dealer, but they should pay for it.

Headlight on 2006 toyota prius intermittently go on and off. The computer and bulb have both been replaced twice, but the problem continues to occur. This has been continuous for two years, despite the constant replacement of parts.

Toyota prius hid light faulty on every prius built and toyota is ignoring this issue, it is absurd to spent 400 dollars for replacement when all prius owners are experiencing the same problems, click on the link. Http://www.hybridcars.com/forums/replacing-headlight-bulb-t910.htmlits about time someone from nhtsa will represent all consumers for this incompentent action by toyota... Im seeking representation...thank you

Vehicle vsc lights come on and cause a tempoary loss of power . The vehicle front ends also starts to shake which cause a tempoary loss of controll. This started 6 months ago and is happaning daily.

Toyota sienna 20061. Normal driving with absolutely no accidents in the history of the vehicle.2. Driver's side front seat belt will not retract, making is absolutely useless for its intended purpose. This is a major safety issue. 3. Contacted toyota headquarters who claims that the vehicle is outside the normal 3 year warranty period.

2009 camryi bought a used camry 2009 with 64,000 miles on it. I noticed that while making a turn, both right and left axles were creating sound. Then i called toyota's customer relations dept. Around nov 11th and reported this matter to them. They gave to me the complaint # 0911116335.they advised me to go to the local dealer. I took the car to the local dealer on dec.3,2009 and a mechanic rode with me in the car and agreed that both axles are bad. I left the car with the dealer to confirm this problem. When i picked up the car, they charged me $ 50.00 for inspection and wrote the report that only left axel was bad.as i have already pointed out, mechanic had already confirmed that both axles were bad. It appears that to 'tone down' this defect, toyota home office advised the dealer to report that only one axel was bad. Dealer's estimate for replacing one axel was around $ 900.00 after 10% discount on the parts. I understand that there may be only few 2009 camrys which would have 64,000 miles on them. I request you to register my complaint and look for other 2009 camry users to report this problem.another problem i have noticed is the similar brake problem that toyota has in prius models. When applying brakes on a slippery condition, car does not stop for few feet. Please also investigate this matter.

2006 camry xle i-4 transmission fluid changed at 30k miles came out black!!this means the fluid is being burned.car not abused.driven in 3rd & 2nd on two days 25 days apart down road to yosemite brake used to keep speed down.only time i can think of that added stress to transmission.another time i had to step/floor accelerator on freeway on-ramp up grade to keep fast moving semi-truck from running me over. This is normal operation.transmission failure at these time could be very dangerous.*tw

Driver's seat slides when i accelerate or stop. It occurs every time i drive the vehicle and i have taken it in to checkered flag toyota in virginia beach, va to have the problem fixed. It is obvious there is a problem with the track the seat sits on. The service technician asked the service adviser how heavy i was (i weigh 135lbs) and told her the problem could not be fixed, the entire seat would have to be replaced.checkered flag will not respond to my service requests.

2008 lexus is250 (vin [xxx]). Received a recall on dashboard. Crown lexus in ontario california approved the replacement of dashboard as well as all doors in october (?) 2015. I have been calling the dealer multiple times, but still unknown when the parts will come in. I have called lexus directly on estimate time to ship out parts, but they never provided any answer.i am hoping to sell the car, but resale value would be affected by this not to mention the glare causes safety concern.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

We own a 2007 toyota camry and have gone to our local dealership to have the recall taking care of. And to our surprise our gas pedal was cut to a size much smaller than its original version. We have never received notification of this solution for this recall, nor have seen anything on the media that states this is what is being done for a solution.the gas pedal in this format is unacceptable and my foot does not sit properly on the pedal as it should and did before this adjustment.we feel that a new gas pedal should be installed. We purchased this vehicle new and should be entitled to new parts for recalled items, not damaged items in a new vehicle.is there anything you can do to assist with this matter or address toyota corp regarding this solution?
