I purchase my vehicle a 2002 rav4, automatic, new.the vehicle has been well maintained.approximately in march of 2010 my vehicle starting jerking, i look at my gas gauge and thought i must be lower on gas then the gauge is showing.i got gas and the problem stopped.about 2 weeks later the same problem. I got gas and the situation stopped.sporadically, in the 2 week time frame my vehicle seemed to lose power. I did take my car into my mechanic and he had the car and did test drives with no problems.again, in april the problem arose again and the car when to my mechanic and again they could find no problem.on april 22, 2010 upon leaving work i started my vehicle and there was a horrible jerking, shaking and at times seemed to have no power i finally was able to make it home (1 mile away) with the tires barely rolling down the road.immediately, the next day i took it to my mechanic and as we were doing a test drive the vehicle began the jerking, shaking and lost power, the car was not operable any longer.the diagnosis:transmission burnt and new ecm (my third in this vehicle).the vehicles engine check light never came on or any other sensors in the vehicle.when the ecm was tested it did not display any codes or problems with the vehicle.i contacted the dealership and explained the situation and was advised i needed to bring it in for them to look at it.i explained to them it does not run and not going anywhere and would these (i would have had the vehicle towed with an expense of anywhere from $250 to $300.00, a hours drive away)expenses be covered.response "warranty expired 60 days ago."after many days of an agonizing decision, i advised my mechanic to go ahead and fix the car at the tune of $3500.00, replacing the ecm and transmission.the vehicle is still being repaired and i will have it back next week.

2007 prius, touring model-right headlamp went out while driving-only 26,000 miles on car so far.next operation, light working again.poses very big safety hazard.told that my platinum certified warranty and extended 100,000 mile warranty would not cover this $400 + repair--and i have only owned the car less than 2 months.

I purchased my 2009 toyota camry in jun 2009(used) with about 6000 miles. After the first week the clip from the carpet snapped out, and i took it to toyota for thefirst carpet recall, then i took it to toyota for the sudden acceleration recall with the gas pedal, this friday i am returning it, for the sudden acceleration due to some electrical issue that toyota is unsure of. I've been paying car notes and have not been able to try my car, for fear of sudden acceleration not due to myself.

I was driving my toyota corolla and everything worked.nothing out of the ordinary happened.i was able to accelerate, brake, listen to the radio, ac on high and get 30mpg in the city.something must be wrong with my car.nhtsa and the media has convinced me that i might die while driving my toyota and yet i feel just as safe as ever.please help me.thank you.

The vsc track and engine lights came on at the same time at exactly 108,000 miles.this has been a very reliable vehicle except when it seems the computer parts are programmed to fail. I use to commute in heavy slow traffic in southern california when my brake light would come on when using the brakes in traffic. The dealer could not find a problem.. The brake light will go off after the key is turned off and back on again however the vsc/track light still on appear t be a computer defect. I see many problems with this could lead to vehicle tipping big problem maybe this issue is related to toyotas vehicles super accelerating just a thought!

Vsc,tcs lights go on after a noise coming from right anterior wheel / engine. Lights stay on.

2001 toyota sequoia.vsc trac/vsc off skid control lights all illuminate.vehicle shutters aggressively and decelerates suddenly (occurred at least 8 times between 65 and 45 mph).vehicle becomes very unstable and difficult to control until full stop.unsafe to operate!!

Very often, my 2009 corolla will have a very low idle, the car acts as it is going to stall. It shudders, the tach drops low, but then will come back up. It happens several times per week when i am either backing up or going from a stop into first gear. I have driven only manual transmissions for over 26 years, and this is the first vehicle i have owned that this has happened with. I fear i will be hit from behind, or t-boned when the car acts as if it wants to stall. It never has stalled, but it frightens us. As i mentioned, the car shudders, shakes when this happens to us. We feel it may have something to do with a low idle problem, either with the electronics or software. We have taken it back to the dealer a few times, but it's the famous "can not duplicate" answer. We only drive this vehicle usually from april to late october. We live in the snowbelt of ohio and drive our 4x4 jeep nov. Through march. I also drive a 2001 manual transmission honda civic, with never theses issues.i can't give incident dates, this happens frequently during each week, ever since i took delivery of this car in march, 2008.again, this is a 2009 corolla s.

Aftermarket chrome 19 inch wheels sold by lexus of marin using wheel concepts industries llc swap program (trading lexus factory wheels for same model lexus wheels after chrome applied to wheels obtained from wheel concepts) were defective. Wheel concepts industries claimed peeling chrome not covered under warranty and re-chromed the defective chrome wheel for monetary payment. After receiving re-chromed wheel, a second aftermarket chromed wheel from wheel concepts was found to have hidden peeling chrome.apparently peeling chrome will cause air leaks. First symptom noticed on car was incessant air leaks. Afterwards peeling chrome discovered, a lexus dealership service manager informed me his experience was after market chromed wheels on alloy wheels frequently peeled which would cause air leaks due to moisture getting between chrome and rim which caused peeling and subsequently would then cause air to leak from tires. Car and after market chrome wheels were purchased in 2013 and peeling chrome discovered in late 2016.peeling chrome cause safety issue with leaking air tires. I was unaware cause of air leaks until approximately near beginning of 2017 as best i recall.

2203 toyota prius cst brake light goes on intermittently had brakes replaced by dealer. Brakes did not feel ok but told this was normal. Brake pedal went to floor intermittently but no brake light came on. After car slid thru red light at intersection, car was brought back to dealer. Replaced master cylinder. Brakes still did not work. Dealer said brake hoses were soft & swollen and brake controller sticking. Replaced brake hoses, flushed lines cap. Bleeder plug actuator assy.car has 67,000 miles.

I want to file a complaint with toyota motor company related to the recent recall of toyota tacoma leaf springs, where the defective leaf springs can shift out of place, puncturing the gas tank, spilling gas on the hot exhaust pipe, and causing a possible fire or explosion. Toyota, when replacing the defective leaf springs with safer ones, refuses to return the vehicles to the condition they were in before the replacement, when air bag, or improved leaf springs were installed by the owners. Since air bags are safer, make the trucks handle better, and are adjustable when heavier loads are carried, (such as campers loaded with more gear, or pick-up beds with more cargo) many truck owners are having them installed on defective leaf springs, not knowing that they were defective, even though these defective leaf springs were designed and installed up to 12 years ago. When trying to have the recall work done, toyota is attempting to profit from their unsafe practices and equipment, by insisting that the customers pay for removal of the air-bag or improved leaf spring systems, even though the customer had no way of knowing they were installing these systems on defective factory equipment. Further, toyota is refusing to deal with these customers unless they pay toyota for the modified brackets and installation of these brackets on the air-bags, and the re-installation of these air-bags, without paying for the work. This work has already been done, and now toyota insists that be re-done at the customer's expense. Their other option for customers is to refuse the recall if they don't have the extra money to have the work re-done, and continue driving with an unsafe vehicle. The owners of these vehicles, and the air bag/improved leaf spring systems they've had installed on defective toyota oem led-springs, are toyota's responsibility to be returned the the condition they were in before the new leaf-springs were installed.

On and off, the car make a noise when i stop my vehicle followed by a crank noise, and feels like car doesn?t want to stop at times, matter of seconds. And being a vehicle that has 4,451 miles i took it for the 5000 miles service, because of the brakes noise concerned, i send an email to the service manager describing the problems, and the service advisor told me they have check the brakes and thatmy car was ready,i drove my car and it keep doing the same thing on an off,so abnormal, i wrotea second email to the service manager,i was told in few words that they have to reprogram the computer on my car since it was the transmission or power train problemi can read on my invoice performed a tsb0082-9 reprogrammed ecu???i drop my car at penske toyota twice; have my car like a week, since it suffer a lot damage.when i drop my car off i was told by the technician he was going to call the factory to solve the problem??am i secure in my vehicle? i don?t feel secure on it.can they replace my car? i am afraid because of the computer issue, and the pedal issue.

I own a 2006 toyota avalon.before the recalls there was only two occasions where my vehicle acceleration malfunctioned slightly.on thursday february 25, 2010 i had the recall repairs completed, and now my vehicle acceleration malfunctions every time i drive it.i almost hit another car moving up at a stop sign because my vehicle took off when i pressed slightly on the pedal.the brakes are now malfunctioning, where it doesn't stop upon pressing the brakes.

I, like many other toyota prius 2016 owners, am sad to report the windshields in this particular model are made of lightweight material that cannot take the lightest rock chip impact.i have driven a prius 2011 and a prius 2008 for over 200k miles combined and never had a small rock chip turn into a 3 ft long windshield crack but that is what happened to my 2016 prius after only 6000 miles. I understand rock chips will happen, my concern is i have never seen a windshield crack so badly over a fairly small impactfurthermore there are currently no after-market windshields available for replacement and factory windshield replacement runs between $800 and $1,400 depending on modeli believe toyota should be held responsible for these defective windshield and issue a recall

In march, 2007, i had an accident.the rear end of the car was completely broken.i thought it was totaled.safeco had it repaired.the trunk does not stay secure, i am continuously taking my vehicle to the body shop for repairs to the body.the body parts just pop in (plastic) and the trunk lid does not stay shut.i am very disappointed, as well as it being very dangerous when i am riding down the road and the trunk's lid flops open, causing blindvisibility .

I think because i am a women and repair companies do this type. I have a 2007 toyota avalon. It has not being 6 months yet. I purchased it from carmax. I have taken it back at list 5 time are more for miner repairs . Now i had new front disc brakes put on this month and they are scrubbing and the front tires are black because the brakes are very low end product and they are not suppose to scrub this is a safety hazard to me. Please respond to this asap.

Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)my 2010 corolla has had the gas pedal recall completed and now when car is in park i can watch the rpm's of the motor fluctuate from 1000 rpm to 1400 rpms with out touching the gas.also it now idles at 1000 rpm compared to about 800 before . I have not contacted the dealer yet buti just wanted this information reported to you.i feel that toyota has not solved this problem do you.[xxx]

Abs system failure in 2007 toyota fj cruiser.the abs, vsc,and vsc trac and skidding light came on on or about march 22, 2010.toyota dealer had trouble finding "problem" albeit they said the vehicle had no brakes or almost no brakes.they replaced the master cylinder assembly and in an unrelated issue replace ildler pulleys. Picked up vehicle that was alleged repaired and driven by technicians to verify it was repaired and brakes worked.within about 20 miles of driving, brakes became very soft and car was hard to stop in a reasonable distance without veering.called dealership from vehicle on march 27, 2010 and was told to bring it in monday, but it was safe to drive unitl monday.i was told jamming on the brakes may cause the vehicle to skid uncontrolable and that the abs system and vsc would not cause brake failure.i drove the vehicle approximately 200 miles on a trip to see my mother and father.the vehicle was difficult to stop in a reliable and safe manner.

I was driving for work with my toyota camry 2007. While accelerating to get on the highway, around the end of the ramp, my vehicle suddenly accelerated with no controls working from the driver's seat either for the steering wheel or the brake. In a matter of a few seconds, the vehicle went a few times in a zig-zag manner and subsequently hit a semi-trailer which was southbound on the highway. My car was completely smashed in the front and totaled later. This incident occurred after my car went through the accelerator pedal replacement as per recommendation of the toyota recall procedure. I could have been easily killed in this accident. I got a traffic ticket for the first time in my life after having a ticket-free driving record for the past 11+ years. I am pleading 'not guilty' for this ticket because the defective toyota car was responsible for the accident and not my error.

In my 2010 toyota corolla xle with 2382 miles on it, i experienced brake failure and difficulty steering while descending down a slight grade. There was no braking action when i pushed the brake pedal as far as it could go. Simultaneously heard a loud scraping sound and detected an odor. Reported incident to the dealer immediately.

2017 toyota corolla im has had issues with tpms light for the past 6-9 months. Air in tires is ok. No tire leaks. We have attempted to find out and repair for the past 2 months a lot of the time finding that there is nothing wrong with tire and no leaks. However tpms light keeps coming on and off and appears faulty. We do not feel safe!

Clunky clutch on a brand-new 2000 echo that toyota never believed since the day i bought it.

Sticking gas pedal on my 2009 toyota camry hybrid.caused un-intended acceleration an almost an accident as i was crossing a divided highway near my home.this situation has happened to me at least 6 times in the last 2-3 months.the problem appears to be happening more frequently, where the gas pedal suddenly sticks and the car races out of control.i feel the cars is unsafe to drive.

Car was fix for recall my totoyta avlon 2007 but now having acceleraton.

Uber driver app. The new update causes distracted driving. If you do not accept rides in the middle of another trip, while driving, it signs you out andyou need to pickup your phone and type in your password to drive again. All this while driving a car with a passenger watching in the backseat. This will lead to many crashes in the future.please penalize them. Please ignore the vehicle component section. I wasn't able to file complaint against uber without selecting component. This complaint is against uber, not against toyota.

I bought a toyota prius v 2010. I have complained to toyota about the braking system. I am also filling a formal complaint with nhtsa.also the back auto dimming mirror doesnt work properly. They cant find a fix.lane keep assist works really poorly. I would say i doesnt work! also bluetooth systems doesnt work properly. There is a delay in answering the call.

While driving i noticed that my front abs would not activate in an emergency situation. Braking distances became a lot longer. When i went to replace my front brakes, i discovered that the front lower brake piston had frozen. It was the same for both sides. Took it into the shop, and they said the same thing. Had to have the caliper replaced on both sides for a total of $750+++. This is the same thing that has happened to many other owners, which can be found on www.t4r.org.

I was stopped at a signal light. The toyota camry i was driving off of holt ave. Pomona. Ca. I accelerated by tapping the accelerator and the car abruptly started accelerating aggressively on itsown and lead me directly head on into a tree. It was almost like the car was "taken over" by something. I suffered some minor injuries of the back, head, and shoulder. I almost died. The airbag came out so i survived. I was taken to the hospital for check up and released the same day.i was holding a nevada license. I called the pomona police today for a accident report number however the police department denied there was report taken. The car was totaled. The car was insured in california. This accident occurred after a other car in our family of 2, mysteriously rolled over on road of the 15 interstate highway were my mother almost died. The cause of the accident is also still unknown.the acceleration speed is unknown i have guessed the speed in the further documentation..i am not sure of the equipment type in the car.

Every so often my 2005 toyota 4-runner will lurch forward at a stop. Its like the vehicle is being rearended. This occurs without warning and at random times during a typical day. The transmission will also lock in 4th gear if while driving on the interstate the vehicle slow suddenly - this is corrected by pulling off the interstate, shutting down the vehicle and waiting a few moments.

Remanufactured brake rotors and drums being sold are at and below manufactures minimum specifications. I discovered this with my micrometer at three automotivestores (bap imports, autozone and napa). All rotors were made in chinaif they are at minimum specs it would not ake long for them to be below this is a serious hazard all over the us. Lives are at stake.

I have a 2007 toyota avalon.this is in reference to a previous complaint "10308589".it happened again.on sunday, may 16th, 2010 i "floored" the accelerator after turning into traffic because the car on the road was going much faster than i expected.the accelerator got stuck so i put it in neutral, heard and saw high rpm on the tack and turned the motor off with the key.i wrestled the car into the next turn-off (no power steering).i looked down and my gas pedal was stuck all the way down by the floormat.this is a floormat that i put in from walmart.it is made of heavy rubber to protect my nice floormats.it is not latched into the floor like my nice floormat underneath.this was my fault, not toyota.that floormat is now in the trunk of my car.this is the third time uncontrolled acceleration has happened in this car.it was in for recall repair after the second incident.driver beware!this tool is requiring me to select a model number on equipment which does not make sense so i just selected one at random - that is a flaw in the reporting process.

2008 toyota avalon - computer defect - cruise control is erratic sometimes working ok other times engaged & not working - suddenly speeds up, error code e2.auto does not slow down properly. Reported to dealer w/no problem found in 2009.12/14/09 car dead, dash lights indicate check engine, control system failure, brake, battery failure , towed to dealer.parts 10 amp etcs fuse/i7.5 amp -dome fuse/7.5 amp and am2 fuse. The reason i want to bring light to this incident is that i personally lost a suspension a-arm bolt about 15 years ago and i'm lucky to be telling you about it. When it happened, i was just driving about 2-3 mph in a parking lot looking for parking space.in the last 5 years, i have been driving to cleveland every other weekend. In that time i have seen over 20 cars that have had a catastrophic suspension failure. I've seen tires resting on wheel wells, tie rod failure, and complete separation of the wheel with brake assembling and tie rods from the car. Mar 2010, i went to a firestone for a 4 wheel alignment on a newly acquired 2005 toyota tacoma truck because it pulled to the right.the first firestone completed the alignment . They admitted, only after i pointed out the alignment specs numbers were still out of range, that they couldn't do the alignment properly because 1 out of four cam adjustment bolts was 'frozen'.they said they tried repeatedly to loosen the bolt.after this alignment, the pulling to right was worse so i took the truck to another firestone.the 2nd shop tried loosening the frozen nut with no success. When they showed me the problem, i could see the bolt was stripped. He said he tried a long cheater bar and rounded off the nut and also tried an acetylene torch and a pipe wrench. He told me i would have to order the new bolt and cam nut from toyota in order to fix the problem.that weekend i took the truck to a friend with a lift. I loosed the cam nut in less than a minute before one witness. It was obvious to me you had to loosen the bolt before loosening the cam nut and this required removing the splash shield. Firestone showed a complete lack of common mechanical sense and a lack of concern for safety.firestone stripped a cam nut and most likely over torqued several suspension a-arm bolts.

I notice the same issue with my camry the noise is constant it makes a rattling noise in the front and then it also squeaks in the front. I bought it to pep boys 6 times and they can't find the problem it is a horrible noise that is very loud.

My brake master cylinder has had to be replaced 4 times in the last 2.5 years.i was terrified when my brakes would not my brake pedal went all the way down to the floor.since i am a disabled driver who cannot transfer in and out of my wheelchair on my own made it extremely worse!the first time the van had 5000 mi on it.the second time with within 25 mi and a day after i picked it up from the dealership!the dealership cover it under my warranty for the first 2 times in may of '08.now that it happened again.i was told that it was not covered under my warranty because my van was modified, but it ha 24,000 mi and 2.5 year old.the brake master cylinder was not tampered with during the conversion process and is a toyota part. There was an investigation done to find out who was at fault.it was determined that toyota's part was defective but the dealership still refuse to warranty it!the dealerships are unwilling to even help us find a solution.now i'm forcedpay 1000.00+ to fix it when it should be cover under warranty. I am forced to fix it because it's my only means of transportation!my family and i are extremely upset with the service and difficulties we are receiving.i would think that if the problem is not toyota's fault, then should go the extra mile to help resolve it instead of leaving their customers out in the cold!terrible way to do business!

I just bought a 2009 prius & there are so many issues with unexpected acceleration & vehicle not going into park or reverse just stops in neutral, i was at a heb sore trying to park, all of a sudden my car sped up an hit a pole in front of me, i was trying to park, with my foot on break, so as to slow down, yesterday i had my wife drive the prius & the car suddenly stopped would not go into reverse or drive, that was very dangerous then they pull into a target parking lot i had to drive out there to meet them, it took almost 1hr & 3mins to get the car in reverse, off course i called my toyota sales guy this being the third time i have reported this incident & the keep down playing it saying there is nothing wrong, not really looking into it.

My husband and ipurchase a toyota tacoma double cab 4x4 2009, on friday may 22, 2009, and we are having problems with the transmission and the radio. When we are slowing down to turn on a curve and when we depress the accelerator the transmission downshifts into what appears to be the 1st gear. The engine will race up to a higher rmp as the car suddenly slows down. This is definitely a safety hazard.this possess a possibility of an accident as our vehicle now slows down quickly as we are coming out of the curve, light intersection or entering into an intersection. This has been occurring since we purchased both vehicle.we took it to the dealer to be checked, but cannot see anything wrong with it.they told me they can't do anything to correct the issue.(toyota of st. Croix,us virgin islands). Radio has been ordered because in both vehicles the radio doesn't work. It shuts off , and in the other one when you accelerate (gas pedal) the volume goes down and sometimes up.what can you do to assist us. Thank you.

Incident with my 2005 toyota priusi've had problems with my braking system and went to great lengths to get my car repaired.i have toyota dealership documentation of what was done to my car to correct the problem.my car was in their shop for 2 months and it took 2 dealerships to figure out what was wrong.if you would like to ask questions about my experience for your investigation, i'll be happy to cooperate to the best of my ability.

This is an update to the complaint i filed on 2008/10/14, odi 10253642 about prius hid headlight failure. Since that incident i have had the driver and passenger side bulbs replaced four times and swapped left-for-right for diagnosis twice. Even with those new bulbs, which my dublin, ca, toyota dealer swears are the newer, "good" bulbs, the headlights always have failed again within one to four weeks. Actually, those are the intervals at which i have *noticed* the failures, but i'm sure the bulbs failed sooner than that, because sometimes it's hard to tell while driving, and the lights always relight when switched off and on. There would have been even more replacements and failures, but i have delayed taking the car in for repair until i could drive into the dealership while the light was out, as proof that it has failed. It's obvious to me and every other prius owner that the bulbs are either not the problem or at least not the only problem--the electronic control module undoubtedly also or instead is faulty. Toyota corporate continues to refuse to acknowledge the severity, persistence, and breadth of the problem. Yesterday the dealer repeated the left-for-right swap because "toyota corporate demands that diagnostic procedure." but the dealer admitted that no more information will be gained than was gained the last time they swapped left for right, when the light worked there at the dealer, but failed on me subsequently (the same-side headlight with the swapped bulb). They are simply avoiding the expense and liability of replacing the control computer.

Vsc,tcs lights go on after a noise coming from right anterior wheel / engine. Lights stay on.

Thank you.

In october 2009 i bought a new 2010 toyota corolla from sansone route 1 toyota in avenel new jersey. February 22 2010 i brought the corolla to this dealership for a fix related to the acceleration recall. I also filed a complaint with them about the power steering. After 90 minutes they said they could not find anything wrong with the power steering.they gave me this in writing. They also wrote that they fixed the acceleration problem. I took the car and 4 minutes later i hit another car because the acceleration increased by itself. The car is being repaired by my insurance company. Toyota should be responsible for the 8600 dollars of repairs . I am injured . Is toyota responsible? my phone number is [xxx]. Please contact me and tell me what to do. I tried to reach toyota s 800 number but so far i have waited 3 hours and nobody answers. Thank you.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I took my 2007 tundra for a modification of the pedal to toyota. On the date below. I am concern about the way the pedal is working.every time the truck bounces or hits a bump, my truck accelerates, because of the sensitivity of the pedal. It did not do that before. I am in the process of taking it back.as soon as i can take some time off of work again.i just thought you might want to know how the modification is working on my tundra.thank you for your time.

I have a 2006 toyota camery.i have had issues with the brakes every since i got the car.the anti-lock brakes don't work the way that they should.when you press on the brake hard like you would in an emergency the car will not stop at all its as if the brakes go completely out.but ifyou press them slowly they work fine.but if you give a quick press they don't work. This has resulted in me almost having several accidents.i did have an accident in november 2006.when i pressed the brakes they completely gave out and i hit someone from behind.

In august 2009 the computer was replaced on my 2007 toyota corolla because it died in the middle of the intersection. Since that time, my car will suddenly rev up and accelerate on its own. I took it to the dealer service center a few weeks ago and after having it for a week, returned it to me and stated nothing was wrong. On november 2nd, my car suddenly accelerated pulling into my driveway and i had to knock it out of gear and stand up on the brake to get it to stop. I called the dealer and he said to call toyota that he would not do anything with the car. I have a car in my garage that i cannot drive for safety reasons, no help from toyota, and i will never drive it again as i have had re-occurring nightmares because of this incident as my twins were playing in the driveway and i had just passed my son on his tricycle and stopped and put my daughter on my lap to pull into the garage when this happened. I have asked for a full refund on the car and tony stubblefield with reliable toyota in springfield mo said that the best he could do was allow me to trade it in there. This did happen to me, i have never in my life filed a law suit, and i would like this car taken away and the situation rectified or i will be left with no other alternative but to seek the services of an attorney. This stress is causing me health issues.

Cable on the passenger side automatic door snapped. The door shut about 2/3 of the way, then stopped, very ususual, and was stuck in an open position. I hit the button a few times to get it to shut, and it would not. Since i cannot drive with the door open, i turned off the button from the drivers side, then manually pulled the door shut, thus snapping the cable.

2007 toyota prius rear hatch handle failure. Rubber cover melts into electric switch making it inoperable.

The replacement struts for the toyota liftgate recall do not work properly in cold weather. They are too strong and will force the lift gate to close on a person. The cold weather affects the properties of the strut gases and it forces the lift gate to open too hard causing the automatic motor to force the lift gate shut. This has happened about 30 times this winter to me and in fact almost closed the liftgate on my 4 year old child. In one instance, the lift gate hit my wife on the head and caused her to fall backwards on the parking lot surface.

Going very slowly and heading into a curb in a parking lot, i stepped on the brake, and instead the car accelerated and stopped only when it hit a limb of a large bush. It left a dent in my front bumper. This has happened only one time.

2005 toyota corolla stalled in a bad location, i could of got hit!some miles later car shifted ruff, some miles later engine light came on. I then took the car to the nearest place " autozone" to have test ran, test results was code p2716 i'm scared to drive this car any where!!!!

I just noticed others had complaints about this issue too on your site. I brought it to the attention of the dealer and they had no fix except to remove one or the other although the standard clip does not work well with their mudder mats.i was entering the highway from the ramp and pressed down to accelerate to move into traffic and the truck accelerated as hard and fast as it could. I found myself having to weave through traffic like i was in a nascar race. When i finally found a clear path to the shoulder i swerved onto it and shut the truck off. It would not slow down and i could not shift into neutral. I had to be going about 60 at the top of the onramp and well over 100, probably faster, when i finally was able to shut it off. I got out of the truck to take a break and calm down and upon returning to the truck i noticed that the "mudder mats" i bought from a toyota site slipped forward enough to wedge itself under the gas pedal. I stay aware of the position of the mat more frequently now and keep it slid back but there is no restraint for it that will go thru both the floor liner that protects more of the floor area and the mudder mat on top of it. I bought both at the tundra parts site.i hope that there will be some warning for others made big and dramatic enough to bring attention to this problem to avoid having this happen to another. I was very lucky to have survived this.

I have a 2010 toyota corolla. Dec.24 2009 was a report of the first failure. I was driving out of a residential parking lot and applied my brakes before i approached the street and my car ended up accelerating hitting the passenger door of another vehicle. Moreover if i drive over a bumpy surface or pot hole my pedals start to kick back or vibrate. Don't know what to call it. Also i have 2 recalls for my vehicle according to toyota service center. After fixing my recall i now have a new problem with my car. It makes squeak sounds and squeals as i apply my foot on the accelerator. I took it back to the toyota service center on mar.2 and they told me after waiting 2 hours that nothing was wrong with my car and put on my service receipt as "normal noise". Also regarding the accident a toyota inspector from corporate inspected my car before my recall was fixed and despite the two recalls said that my vehicle has no problems and the accident had nothing to do with it. I now drive a 2010 toyota corolla that squeals and squeaks every day and my insurance company is fighting property damage and bodily injury claims from the driver i struck on the passenger side and everything appears to be my fault and not toyota. Im in such distress with toyota i don't know what more to do. I gave them chance after chance to help me but its just getting worse. This is my first new car and also my first accident i ever had. Im scared that i have to pay 20,000 for the next five years for a defected car. Please help!

Frequent brake replacement and vibration on my 2000 toyota tundra.

This vehicle fuel line was supposedly replaced due to a recall of replacement parts 30h in dec 2005 this same part is still given the car problems what can i do.

Car was fix for recall my totoyta avlon 2007 but now having acceleraton.

Clunky clutch on a brand-new 2000 echo that toyota never believed since the day i bought it.

I bought a toyota prius v 2010. I have complained to toyota about the braking system. I am also filling a formal complaint with nhtsa.also the back auto dimming mirror doesnt work properly.

Going very slowly and heading into a curb in a parking lot, i stepped on the brake, and instead the car accelerated and stopped only when it hit a limb of a large bush. It left a dent in my front bumper. This has happened only one time.

Car was fix for recall my totoyta avlon 2007 but now having acceleraton.

Clunky clutch on a brand-new 2000 echo that toyota never believed since the day i bought it.

Thank you.
