I have had 2 tire blow outs. When i returned them to the dealer i was told that it wasa valve stem failure. Both tire were ruined. The dealer accepted no responsibility. I read in consumers reports that tech international of johnstown, ohio has issued two recalls on chinese made valve stems. I do not know if my stems where from this company- my tire dealer would ( tire farm- farmingdale, new jersey) and i had to buy two more tires because of the valve stem failures. I am lucky that i did not get into an accident because of the failures. Please investigate this issue before someone gets badly hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I own a 2006 chevrolet monte carlo, the tire pressure low system malfunctions without any notice, if my car were a impala gm would fix it but since it is a discontinued model they refuse to do anything. There is a great deal of discussion on the net about this issue along with remote start/ lock problem from what i understand that is a problem they do not honor.
Consumer states she came out of the store and noticed that her tire on the passenger side had a bulge in it, the size of a baseball.she also states she now is a little uncomfortable now drivingher car because something may happen.she has continental tire on her car, but does not know the size.she also states she rarely drives her auto, so there is not a lot of miles on the tire, to cause this kind of bulging.
