Failure of thule echelon bike racks - fork mount.on two different occasions, 2 different examples of this product failed to hold the bike on the vehicle at highway speeds under normal road conditions.manf. Instructions were followed both times and the fork mounts carefully checked.in both cases, the pressure closed forked mount failed causing the bike to leave the rack.this is a serious hazard to other vehicles or motorcycles that might be following a vehicle with this product.other users have reported similar incidents.this product should be recalled immediately.
