In 2017 tesla model s, the main screen goes blank once a week. I took it to tesla service center 4 times in last 4 months. They reflash the software in media control unit but that didn't solve the problem.it is very dangerous to drive the car without main screen.tesla service center is not helping.mcu needs to be replaced and reprogrammed.
The media control unit in my 2015 model s tesla stopped working and went blank. I first had no music connectivity, then the turn signals and garage door opener would not work. Since the media control unit controls everything, i feel it is unsafe to drive the car.
Tesla "autopilot" cannot discern object depth or lateral position due to not having a lidar. The system proceeds to treat this as a non-detection to avoid false positives. With lidar properly implemented most tesla ap accidents and deaths to date would not have occurred. Cameras, nor radar or ultrasonic are able to mitigate this. The cameras are not true stereo, the radar has too wide a beam or sweep to discern object lateral location without movement, and ultrasonic seems to have a separate flaw yet diagnosed. (see new summon blind spot issues on twitter etc.)
Immediate danger.this one is not even questionable. The nhsta cannot possibly allow any vehicles to have "enhanced summon" when it is clearly dangerous.people are alreadyrecklessly using it on public roads and public parking lots. Very predictable use and abuse.just one of many examples here. [xxx]this is clearly an existing and urgent problem so please stop the selling of this dangerously defective product immediately.immediate halt is now necessary. An excellent compromise to the "enhanced summon" safety issue with tesla vehicles is to require that tesla immediately remove it from all but the first 2000 buyers until it is safe. Tesla can do this via by over-the-air update and with 2000 buyers tesla could still get some good data, use that data to better develop the product, etc.i'm sorry, but the entire fleet (as well as the entire public that happens to be around those vehicles) should not be subjected to this dangerous product.it clearly needs to be better developed and until then it is very dangerous, especially when there are children around the vehicles.
How is nhtsa responding to the recent incident? https://driveteslacanada.ca/model-y/tesla-owner-watches-model-y-catch-fire-in-driveway/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=tesla-owner-watches-model-y-catch-fire-in-driveway
Unlike other complaints we explain exactly why tesla is releasing dangerous products prematurely and avoiding fire recalls.we inform you of the exact financial reason.please act immediately and also contact the sec.regarding tesla's "enhanced summon", the nhtsa has publicly said that they will not hesitate to act if there is a defect.the clear/obvious defect is summarized in just 2 bullet points below.we then explain why tesla makes these dangerous products available even though they know full well they are dangerous.- operator is to use enhanced summon from as far as 200 feet away.- from even 20 feet away it becomes impossible to see small children walking around the far side of vehicle, walking between vehicles in parking lots, etc.could the defect be any more clear and obvious?please shut it down immediately.evidence of the safety problems, costs from accidents, violations of law, etc:1. Https://www.richmond-news.com/news/update-richmond-tesla-incident-icbc-says-driverless-not-allowed-1.239976972. Https://mobile.twitter.com/polixenes13/status/1177901410333134855tesla released it even though they knew it was dangerous because elon musk wanted to financially meet ebitda related covenants (keep their abl credit lines fully open) in q3 of 2019.even worse, elon musk is already forecasting the dangerous release of full self-driving in q4 (soon) for the same reason.in the recent tesla conference call he says it will be released but need "supervision".what a sick joke.the nhtsa must prohibit that release in advance.in summary,we request that you immediately force a recall on enhanced summon and prohibit the release of any additional full self-driving features until your probe/investigation is complete.by the way, please halt over-the-air updates because companies gain financially by releasing products dangerously early.stop enabling this to be repeatable in the first place.most importantly, stop turning a blind eye to tesla.
2017 tesla model s had a faulty mcu and infotainment screen. Map images for navigation would not load and back up camera has a 10 second or greater delay in turning on.
Very urgent safety issue.[xxx]the twitter thread above provides just some of many many examples.the reason this can even happen is because nhsta apparently allows over-the-air updates to vehicle software.this kind of result was bound to happen.obviously, some updates will instantly be horrendous safety issues for the public....and that is what we have today.in summary,1.a recall needs to happen so that over-the-air updating can no longer happen. Only after nhsta product approvals should any vehicle software updates be allowed to occur.clearly toorisky without that process and we already have a catastrophic example of it today.2. Most urgently (meaning today) this "enhanced summon" feature on the entire tesla fleet must be shut down via an emergency recall issued by your agency.many photos and videos at the twitter link above, as well as countless elsewhere around the internet by now, show just how many accidents and injuries are happening.the product clearly has horrendous flaws yet tesla is doing nothing about it and this is now endangering people.nhsta needs to issue the recall immediately and turn this feature off.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
The main mcu computer in my tesla keeps deteriorating. The computer freezes up, takes too long to boot up and just generally noticeably degrades in performance.this computer controls the entire car is critical to its use and safety. Tesla wants me to pay $2500 to replace, even though it is still under warranty. This is a known matter based on what i can tell online.

Tesla model s center console screen goes black and will not restart.this is a huge safety concern.with it being the brains of the car, its useless.apparently tesla knows about it, but no recall is being issued.the repair is around 2,000.this needs to be made a serious safety concern.
Multiple tesla model 3 owners are reporting that their bumpers are falling off in heavy rain.apparently, the bumper catches water, like a parasail, and falls off during heavy rain.see here: https://bgr.com/2018/08/14/tesla-model-3-problems-rear-bumper-rain/tesla has yet to issue a voluntary recall. This issue, if a design flaw, effects 50,000+ units and can result in unsafe conditions for any driver travelling directly behind a model 3 in heavy rain.this is especially dangerous at higher speeds.if tesla is unwilling to recall, i think the nhsta should be investigating this before it leads to a serious accident.thank you for your consideration.
Enough already.another "autopilot" slamming into emergency response workers.get this dangerous equipent off our roads.we did not sign up to participate in this deadly "autopilot" testing.https://www.nbcboston.com/investigations/police-tesla-that-hit-mass-state-troopers-vehicle-was-in-autopilot/2151164/
