Takata recall. Purchased a 2012 vw passat on 08/07/2015. Was not aware of the recall until the salesman made a follow-up courtesy call to me on 08/08/2016.he was advised i never received a letter.i phoned vw customer care, verified my address and requested a letter from them after renewing my registration but never received a recall letter to this day.august 25, 2017 the airbag warning light came on. September 13, 2017 the low tire indicator light came on.i took my vehicle to gossett vw, had the tires inflated and when i drove the vehicle two days later the abs/traction control/tire pressure/ and seatbelt lights were continually flashing. I spoke to an advocate via chat on vw's seb site. She authorized the airbag repair on 09/22/2017. I paid approximately $341.00 to resolve the problem with the warning lights but to date, 09/27/2017 the problem persists.the dealership did not respond to my complaint and the file was closed on 09/25/2017.i phoned customer care earlier today, wednesday, 09/27/2017 and reopened the case. My vehicle only had 38,415 miles on it. The repair report according to service agent j.o. Claimed they found a short to the passenger occupant sensor causing the abs light, tire light, and traction light. Correction:repaired short and cleaned right rear speed sensor and bearing. On 09/22, the bottom driver takata airbag was performed. Not only are the same lights alarming each time i turn on the vehicle, but this morning the esp error light flashed. Vw customer care was advised and reopened the complaint. Following the service visit i discovered a broken part with vw # 8e0.881.348.e on the right floor mat of the car. This is alarming. I was advised an advocate from vw corporate should be calling me in response to this horrific ordeal.these incidences occurred 2 weeks after the certified pre- owned warranty expired.never had any problems with the vehicle before this. I am a senior citizen who is extremely alarmed with this matter.
My vehicle part of saab/gm safety recall 15041.letter received saying that my local cadillac dealer can address recall, replace airbag module.findlay cadillac in henderson nv refuses to do this, say they haven't worked on saab vehicles for over three years.contacted sharon mitlyng, customer service director at findlay, and she just refused and had no explanation why gm had sent me a letter saying cadillac would service this recall.
Takata airbag recall problems are not just because consumers don't know about them. We have a 2011 ford mustang, were contacted years ago about the recall. Contacted the dealership - they didn't have the parts. Waiting for them to contact us, never did. We moved to florida, got mail about the recall. Contacted ford dealership close to us (mar 2018), they didn't have the parts said they would put us on a list and contact us - never did. We finally was able to get our car fixed last week (december 2018), after jumping through hoops to try and get it done.
No action from mercedes on airbag recall.vehicle: 2014 mercedes glk 350, received notice from mercedes benz in february 2019 on airbag recall. No action from mercedes since, even after several contacts from me.i wrote to the local dealer who responded that there is nothing they can do.i followed up with writing to mercedes' head usa office which redirected me to their customer-advocacy.usa office. Their executive referral manager wrote me that there has been no airbag related accidents and nothing to worry about, and they will let me know when they receive the airbags.my concern is that the recall notice was more than 10 months ago, unbelievable that nothing can be done. Furthermore, even if there has been no airbag related accidents, i do not want my car to be the first.
I have only received the driver side takata air bag replacement.i would like to get the passenger side replaced too.

I own a 2008 mercedes benz c350.it has a safety recall on both the driver's and passenger's side air bags.these are supposed to be safety devices, however, i quote from mercedes, "summarymercedes-benz usa is recalling certain my 2008-2011 c-class, e-class, sls-class, glk-class, and e-class coupe and cabriolet mercedes-benz vehicles equipped with passenger-side frontal airbags affected by the defect decision of tk holdings, inc. (takata). Under certain circumstances during a crash that necessitates frontal airbag deployment, the defect in your the vehicle's frontal airbag inflator could cause the inflator housing to rupture. A passenger-side inflator explosion during deployment could result in metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death.consequenceyour passenger-side airbag is affected by this recall based on the defect decision of tk holdings, inc. (takata). Under certain circumstances during a crash that necessitates frontal airbag deployment, the defect in your passenger-side airbag inflator may cause the airbag to explode during deployment and could result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, possibly causing serious injury or death."this has been ongoing for 2 years.i have 2,400 miles on the car.isn't it about time that someone put the safety in nthsa and prod mercedes to fix my car?or do i have to die first?
I have a 2006 mazda 6 with a vin in the recall range, except i live in michigan so it is not recalled.my inflator will continue to degrade, at a slower rate than those in high humid areas, but it will eventually get to the point where it will have taken in enough moisture to disassemble when deployed. I want this taken care of before it blows up.the supplier has demonstrated an unwillingness to acknowledge it has a problem.no one seems to be concerned that a supplemental safety device can do more harm than good.ask those involved in the industry and you will get a common response that "death" is not an acceptable failure effect.there is probably a pretty [xxx] good reason no other airbag inflator manufacturer uses ammonium nitrate in their propellant formulations.inflators leak.always do and always will.you cannot keep the moisture out indefinately.and i definately do not want to wait until more innocents are killed or maimed by these devices before mine too is recalled.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Was notified of an airbag recall campaign (ntsa recall no. 16v-358) for passenger-side airbag in july 2016. Was cautioned in the recall notice that "until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat." it is 3.5 months later, and other than the safety recall notice to me, no repair/replacement has been made. My front passenger seat has been unoccupied for 100+ days! this is unsatisfactory.
2005 acura tl that has airbag dashboard light on. The dashboard on pasenger side has long verticle cracks where airbag is. The problem is, the airbag light is telling us there is a problem with the airbag. The dashboard cracked where the airbag is. The airbag deployment may not work properly causing death if in an accident. Hundreds of complaints were made and acura will not acknowledge. Acura pretends its due to wear and tear and wont acknowledge.

We received the takata airbag recall notice in june 2015 and still have not received any information about the status of an airbag replacement. We were notified not to have anyone ride in the passenger seat due to the airbag deficiency. It has been an unreasonable time and still there is not eta on a replacement. This is a huge inconvenience as this is our family car and we are currently expecting. I would expect for this threatening recall to be handled more efficiently or accommodations to be made.

Sent to honda vp:good afternoon. And i dislike the fact that i have to bother you with something that could have been taken care of by your regional manager, jennifer [phone # (310)781-5230], she would not give me her last name and i had to pull tooth and nail with her to get her boss's name corey, which he never returned my call.american honda is not committed to taking care of their customers.because of the company's mistake i am having to deal with bureaucracy and american honda prefers to spend millions of dollars in being sued and instead of paying for the whole air bag system which includes seat belt and buckle. This is all connectedand this is a majooooooooooooorrrrr safety issue, which the company created by purchasing malfunctioning airbags from takata.customers are not required to clean up after honda who put out a faulty product resulting in putting lives are at risk. Attach is the reality of what honda has done to many honda customers which is unfair.even the recall notice that honda sends out to honda customers states the magnitude of danger, the defect in these vehicles could kill or injure you or other people in the vehicle.specifically, in some vehicles, the drivers front airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure upon deployment.if an affected airbag deploys, the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture (break apart) and deploy abnormally. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material possibly causing serious injury or fatality to you or others in the vehicle.past ruptures like this have kill and injured vehicle drivers.even if your vehicle was previously repaired, your vehicle is still covered by this real and will need to repair again.but yet honda will not cover the whole safety system that really starts with the item you have recalled which is all linked together and due to this, honda clients are not responsible for hondas erro

Air bags recalls have been criminal plots executed by filipino terrorists since 8 years ago. They purposely broke in to individual cars and switched good quality airbags to bad airbags while damaged its brakes or other safe parts for intentionally setting accidents. Thus the bad airbags didn't perform basic function. That's why auto manufactories have kept recalling air bags...pls join us for wiping out filipino terrorists now! please share and repost it.[xxx]leader of fighting vs. Filipino terroristsinformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
