My 2001 chev surban caught on fire in my garage when car was not running.while picking up my daughter from school my abs warning light came on --i returned home within 5 mins and with 10 mins my car was on fire. --dealership that i bought the car from and have had serviced there has my car. I have been trying to deal with them and it has been a complete nightmare.the saftey of my family is at risk if i contiune to drive the car---they dont know if that will happen again or not they say. At first they said it would cost $2,000 to fix the car --replace parts that were damaged from the fire--after i started asking if general motors should be responsible they said they would only charge me $950.00 since i was a good customer. I explained to them there must be a defect in the car---my car is in excellent condition---2001 70,000 miles and has been serviced every 3,000 miles.they said they have never seen this before. Then they said general motors will pay to have the parts replaced that were damaged and put in a new abs module, and that i should be okay.i cant risk the safty of my family and my house to park the car in the garage and contuine to drive it..i would appreicate any help or advise that you might have for me.

When traveling at a low rate of speed and attempting to brake the abs brake system engages and does not allow me to stop when necessary.this happens every time i try to stop at a low rate of speed.this was corrected once by recall number 05v379000, however the problem has not been permanently fixed and we are in danger every time we drive the vehicle.

I recently bought a new 2008 chevy tahoe for my family, when i bought the vehicle there was a knob that was loose in the backseat that the dealer was to fix. About two weeks after i bought the vehicle i was traveling to work when i looked in my rear view mirror and noticed my one year old son was chocking i immediately pulled over took him out of his carseat flipped him upside down and pounded on his back when i took this black knob out of his mouth i was ecstatic. I emailed chevy and also called them i was in contact with a woman named grace who later told me that there was nothing that they could do for me.

Passlock failure. Chevy suburban fails to start leaves driver stranded. Passive security system (passlock) blocks fuel so vehicle will not start. Problem is intermittent and not detectable by mechanics. Chevy dealer service departments say they have never heard of problem. There is however thousands of complaints on internet.. I am sick and tired of trying to go to work or somewhere and this happens. What can be done about this. This is the most ridiculous thing that chevy has ever done!

2003 chevorlet suburban - transmission failed at 45, 000 miles.since it wasn't under warranty any longer, purchased a new transmission from gm with a 3 yr 100, 000 mile warranty.after 3yrs, 4months, the vehicle now has 91,000 miles and the transmission has failed again.each time the cost is over $2500.

On 26oct. 2010 i had a throttle body replace on a 2003 chevy suburban at a local chevy dealership. A day later my wife and i took the suburban outto go shopping . I returnedtothe parking lot to pull up to the doorto load up. As i was ciircling around in the parking lot the engine of thesuv red lined ,this caught me totally off gaurd. I applied the brakes to thi suv, it did not stopped . The end result was that i hit a light pole in the parking lot. I reported the accident to my insurance company. My in insurance company sent a investigator out to look a the suv , he started the vehicle and it redlined , he gave me a call and said i had a issue with the throttle body and that it could have been improperly installed or it could have been a manufacture defect. Later on i called the dealership that installed and proformed the work .they said that it was definitely a defected and that they are not responsibile for the acccident. They said that gm was responsible for this accident.

The contact owns a 2017 bullet crossfire equipped with a suburban stove. The contact stated that the propane fuel tankwas not adequately connected to the stove top, causing excessive gas to be emitted from the stove top. The contact identified the failure after seeing a flame under the burner and the burner being melted after use. The manufacturer was notified, but could not identify the cause of the failure. The failure was not repaired. The stove model was not provided.
