2009 nissan maxima steering lock failure. Stops puts driver and traffic in danger for a defect they were aware of. No warning light to make me aware of any impending danger. Over $1000 in repairs no assistance in compensation when nissan dealership explained to me nissan pay possibly assist with due to being an issue with these year/make/model of vehicle. They should have issued a recall on parts they knew were "faulty".
Audi 2011 a6, vin [xxx] had a catastrophic steering failure on feb 24, 2016. Fortunately the car was being driven into a parking space whenthe front wheels and steering wheel froze. Audi and the local dealer diagnose the failureas a random failure of the steering rack which they replaced. If this steering failure had occurred on the road at any speed serious damage and injury including loss of life could have occurred. I drive a 2008, v6 2wd ford escape that is having steering malfunctions. When the vehicle is in idle the steering wheel shakes, while driving the steering wheel shakes worse, while turning the steering is very difficult, twice the steering stopped working while making right hand turns.
