Wiper blade assembly came loose in rain.following email sent to pylon customer service representative on 02/16/2009:thank you for sending me the information.it explains why i do not find the typical bottom locking tab on the wiper blade assembly connector.i believe your company is making a big mistake with your design.the blade assembly came loose while my wife was driving the car in heavy rain.fortunately it was on the passenger side and she could still see while driving with the driver side still operating or she might have gotten into an accident.we were lucky the windshield did not get scratched by the loose blade assembly.the note on your attachment states that "it is not a design the customer is familiar with".your design looks the same without very close inspection.most people either do not bother to read instructions nor read them carefully. I have put numerous blade assemblies on over the years.i can't say for certain but i think i heard a click on the initial installation.i raise the wiper arm to clean the windshield.it may have come loose at one of these times.i could not get it to click and stay on the several times i tried to reinstall the assembly on the arm after the incident.of course, i did not have it at exactly 30 degrees.pylon has a very dangerous design!you company should reconsider using this design.
