I have had two model 52-625a show chrome motorcycle trailer hitches break in the exact same place. I contacted the manufacturer both times and was told they had never had one break before. That might be possible on the first one but i had told them about it so they lied when i contacted them about the second one. When i applied the brakes the trailer forced the hitch into my rear tire cutting a 1" wide strip almost to the cord. So, i have lost $500 in hitches and a $200 tire. I talked to [xxx]1-800-826-2411 the sales manager at big bike parts, the manufacturer of the hitch. He was polite but pretty much said i was out of luck getting them to accept any responsibility.
