Samsung microwave oven model # mw1245, used in recreational vehicle, started by itself without user intervention, causing smoke damage to interior of vehicle.this unit replaced original oven,model# mr5493g, which was recalled for the same problem.

Consumer contacted the dealer, and they told him they would schedule an appointment.consumerwaited and no one contacted him.he then contacted the manufacturer, whogave him a number for someone local to assist him.the local dealer told him that they had no record of an appointment.also, they told him to unhook the microwave and bring it in.consumer told dealer he would not do this because he did not know how to unhook it.also,couldnot lift it because of a health problem. The recall letter was received in the beginning of july. Consumer has not had any problems with the microwave as of yet.
