Consumer (who is a mechanic) performed oil change on his vehicle and used a pennzoil oil filter, while driving the consumer heard a noise and the vehicle shut down, consumer saw smoke and looked under the vehicle and noticed that the oil filter was missing/fell off, the engine suffered damage due to the oil filter falling off.
My 2012 kia has been recalled as a potential fire hazard due to a leak in the oil system.i brought the car in for the recall on jan 12 to global auto mall plainfield nj.i waited 4 hours and was sent home in an unsafe vehicle as they filed to order the parts.
