Putco in ankeny iowa manufacturers and imports automotive bulbs for cars and trucks.in fmvss 108 bulb manufacturers must meet several requirements including serialized labeling to allow for recalls which puto does not do.the majority of their halogen headlight bulbs did not meet the minimum light output requirements and sometimes didn't meet the color requirements set forth by the regulations.they also sell a great number of bulbs that violate the rules that don't allow led, hid, etc to replace an incandescent or a halogen.i have heard of several vehicle fires related to their faulty products that don't meet the guidelines set forth.
