This car has been a lemon since day one, in and out of dealership for one reason or the other, it started with the car running hard, dealership told me it was because i have broke the car in and now this is how they run, took it back again 3 to 4 more times with same problem, told them car idles high, shifts bad, runs bad, they said nothing wrong, i do alot of highway miles and as soon as i was over the miles and out of the warrenty they told me that the motor mounts were gone only 800 to get fixed, i was then hit by a car head on and really hurt i suffered major back problems , come to find out i probaby could have prevented some of the damage to my self if i had a saver car, my air bags didn;t deploy. I have had every recall to this car , the service men at the dealserships are the rudest men i have ever delt with. I was right the whole time !!!!! i have also experienced the same thing with the lights cost around 800 to fox kept changing the lights not to mentions the tickets i recieved from the cops , i explained to them the light keeps going out, they are like this is a 02 that doesn't happen, if they only knew!!! i am really tired of this car , now i was just told that the car has another problem, it over heats they think it might be the therostat but they don't know. How much money will that cost me???i am one angry person when it comes to this car!!!!!!!

Engine broke down on a 2002 niacin maxim & could not steer car correctly. It could not go without weaving back & forth, even though there is only 15,000. Miles on car & it is regularly serviced & maintained greatly (e.g. Kept in garage, never left unlock, etc.)there could have been serious consequences & involved a $900. Repair bill, for which niacin did nothing to compensate for or apologize for. Ifi had not had aaa tow it to the dealer, there would have surely been a terrible accident. Fortunately, this occurred at night & i had i only 3 blocks to get it home when there weren't any cars the road.

I was informed by nissan there was a recall on the engine exhaust system 12/03. I followed up and had it repaired or replaced , at this point i'm uncertain what happened. Today, i was informed that the catalytic converter is inoperable and it would cost approximately 800.00 to replace it. This is a device that is apart of the engine exhaust recall that was done in '03. Because 2 years have passed since the recall was done, i am no longer under warranty and i am forced to make another costly repair. I am very disappointed with the numerous recalls and repairs on the "north american car of the year!"

In february 2005 the alternator failed to charge the battery and the car slowed to a complete stop and the battery died in the middle of a busy intersection.i had to tow the car to the nearest dealership and the car was repaired 48 hours later.in march 2005 the gas tank lid wouldn't open and the car was running out of gas.i drove the car to the dealership and it took 48 hours to repair.however, the "repair" was done by prying the lid open and i still have not recieved the new part.in may 2005 the transmission failed in the middle of a busy intersection and i had to tow the car to the dealership.they still have the car and expect to have it for two weeks at least.they cannot guarentee that they will pay for the rental car costs which will amount to at least $350 at $25 a day. This car only has 35,000 miles on it.

Bought the car 3 years ago and have since replaced the engine & transmission with approx 80,000 miles on it.engine just locked down for unknown reasons while driving and had to be replaced. Tranmission went completly out while driving at 55mph and had to be replaced.car will still sometimes just cut off while driving.this is a very unsafe vehile and is a money trap. Spent approx. $9,000 in 1 year in repairs!

Helloin 2006 august, my 2005 brand new altima's battery exploded and it was a miracle that me and my friend did not get hurt. When i called the dealership they told me warranty doesn't cover the battery. I had to get it towed to a third party shop where they replace my battery fuse (which i was told caused the explosion) and my battery.when i went over the dealership later they told me i should've brought the car over there. They claimed i was lying wheni said i was told by their service department that they don't cover the batteryand did not even look at the car. Now, my front bumper is covered in battery acid and is not repairable. I called the custemr service did everything i could but they simply won't do anything because i did not take the car to the dealership which i would if they didn't told me they did not cover the warranty on the phone. I have my receipt of the battery fuse and battery replacements but i do not have access to the old battery. I'm very dissapointed and frustrated by this and don't know what to do. I'm not looking to get any kind of money out of this but i bought this vehicle brand new not to have any problems especially a batter exploding to my and my friends face. Thank you.

Car stalled and failed to accelerate and then gave out.waited three hours to be towed to nearest dealer by 1-800-nissan. Alternator and battery were replaced nov 2004at 36000 miles at no cost still under warranty.may 2005 brake light and battery light came on car started to stall on higway. Made it of the highway into a parking lot and car gave out.had it towed by dealer.alternator was once again replaced at no charge because i have extended warranty. Asked dealer if there was problem and they said no.since then the car shuts of immediately after starting engine.i left it at the dealer again on 5-24-05 to be checked. My warranty will soon run out at 49000 and i have no confidence that this problem will be resolved.i have also reported the problem to consumer affairs at nissan.i have one more year left on my lease.i recently received a promotion from bill seidle nissan in miami where i had my car repaired the first time, that says that they are doing a special test market promotion.they are in desperate need to acquire prew-owned 2003 nissan muranos by may 31st.they claim they will buy back my current vehicle. Not a bad offer but i do not want another nissan.please help.

They told me when i was purchasing the 1997 nissan maximathat it has been through thereinspection. As soon asi was driving the car home andwas at a stop the engine turn off. It took me two times to start the engine again to start up. The next day i called the dealer and spoke to him about the car took it in to get it repaired. The next day the car is stillhavingproblems. While driving and coming to a stop engine just turns off.it took me five times to play around with the ignition to get it started again and the engine light is on. In the glover compartment i have found theenclosed copy of the repair invoice from the previous owner that states he was having the same problem that i have know with the engine.they never mention to me that the car was having any problems. I bought the car as ispaid cash. I tried to return the car and get my money back. But the dealer shipsaid no.i purchased this car at the planet nissan 5850 centennial center blvd. Las vegas nv 89149. (702)876-8000. I'm very upsetthat they sold me a lemon of a car that i purchased and that i have been paying out of pocket to fix .

Hi,i am a happy owner of a 2000 nissan maxima gle. The vehicle has 53,000 miles on it and recently has a problem. The "service engine soon" light on the dashboard just came on recently. I researched this issue on the internet and found out quite a few other nissan maxima owners are having this problem ... This is what i discoverd ... The ignition coils are failing. The parts themselves were free under a "goodwillparts" policy nissan has. According to the work order, 3 parts numbered 22448-31u01 "coil assy-ignit" and 3 parts numbered 22448-31u06 were replaced.many maxima owners have heard the response from nissan dealers that this is a known problem with the vehicle ignition coils. Theyalso received the response that nissan agreed to a no charge replacement under good will. See car forums at http://www.carsforums.com/showthread.php?t=7803 question & request:-------------------can nissan please provide the details of how i go about getting this problem resolved under "goodwill" and have the ignition coils replaced to resolve the "service engine soon" light. This should be covered under nissan's factory standard 60k power train warranty.thank you, satnam bains

Ignition coil failure on well maintained 2000 maxima created dangerous driving situation, car would "stall" pressing accelerator accomplished nothing as if vehicle were "starving" for fuel;advised to have all 6 coils replaced (mechanic believes these had already been replaced once before - car was purchased used w/ 25,000 miles)current repair nearly $1000, also additional cost to replace oxygen sensor and fuel regulator; based on number of similar complaints, this should be of concern to nissan and should warrant a recall or at the least, some assistance with cost; wondering if "class action" type lawsuit advisable to gain nissan's attention.

Flapping noise coming from engine. Warning lights came on and vehicle loss power.belts came apart going approximated 65 mph. On june 23,2007 my new 2007 nissan quest spontaneously caught fire while parked in my garage, turned off, keys not even in the ignition. The fire department was able to get the fire out but not before my quest and my garage sustained damage. I called the dealership where i had purchased this vehicle, new, and their response was "so why are you calling us?". I then called the nissan company who agreed to do an investigation into the cause. Their conclusion was that it started in the wiring to the tow hitch, which was on their when i purchased the vehicle and an accessory they offer on their website. They then claimed that the tow hitch was not put on in the factory and therefore it was not their problem and would not assist me any further. They did tell me that they had already spoken with the dealership where i purchased the vehicle and that they were also claiming they did not install the hitch. I explained that it was on there when i got it so someone had to install it. They again said it was not their problem. I have made numerous attempts to contact the dealership and no one will take my calls nor return my messages. So i am stuck with a burned up van, rental bills, garage repair bills and everyone pointing their finger at the other saying it is not my fault. I have insurance on the van of course and could just simply have it fixed and put it back on the road but that doesn't fix the problem of whatever did in fact start the fire (their conclusion was certainly convenient for them in that it was the one thing not installed in the factory) and so i would just be putting a potentially unsafe vehicle back on the road.

Electrical wiring harness engine failure ,all power waslost.harness replaced , wires grounded over.

I received a letter asking me to bring my car for the engine recall on my '06 nissan altima. Unfortunately my vehicle was affected, if i didn't proceed with the recall request my vehicle could lead to an engine fire. My car was in the shop for less than 24hours, it's engine was replaced with a re-built engine. I do not know if old engine is available.

My 2001 pathfinder has had some major troubles with starting. I have had to wait for a period of more than a half of an hour to get it started and i also had to call a tow truck, (i was out of town), and wait for three hours before i received a jump start, the tow truck driver said that the battery was full. I decided to do some research and found that the 2001 pathfinder has been recalled in asia for this same problem. Why is nothing being done about this in the states?s i have had the same incident occur three times i am unsure about exact dates of their occurrences.

Brakes and rotors needed turned at 4.000 miles and brake pedal going to the floor..drivers window not always working..antifreezesmell after driving

This is my 2nd nissan titan in less than 2 years! i traded in a 2005 with less than 20,000 miles because of 3 full tire set replacements and new brakes at 6,000 miles and problems that the dealer stated are currently fixed in the new 2007 models.my new 2007 at 1200 miles dealer replaced defective rims with a new set of defective rims that are a after market plastic hubcap glued to the steel rim which is clicking and popping while in motion and after 15 minutes driving when i park they still pop and click until they completely cool down which is about 30 minutes later. I also have the drivers side window go down by itself and stop exactly at 3 inches after i attempted to close it, my ac does not cool at all and often does not come on even when my gps screen says it is set on high and running i have to pull over turn off truck then restart truck to get ac to come on. Dealer says they cannot find the problem even though there is a tsb on it that i gave them! dealer said window problem is due to georgia heat,it is doing what it is suppose to do but my other 3 windows don't have a problem! my rims they stated that they want to put more glue a tsb tech to fix the problem! that is not a repair that is a band aid that will not hold with the heat tires put off! as of now i will never ever purchase any nissan ever again and i will be buying new rims for my truck and nissan consumer affairs has not helped at all what so ever only tell me to do the tsb glue repair and even though i paid 1800.00 extra for chrome rim package they will not refund or purchase new rims at all so i am on my own.

My car wouldn't start. I notified nissan, they towed my car in. My car had several recalls. Nissan checked my car and reset my ecm. When i went to get my car from mitchell nissan which is 30 miles away. They told us that i had a possible heador coil failure. When we left the dealership we didn't check the oil cause when they reprogrammed they suppose to have checked everything. When my husband checked that's when we found out it was no oil. I drove my car 30 miles with no oil.my car is a 2002 altima i checked the recalls and saw that the 2.5 2006 altimas has a recall on the engine as well as the sensor like the earlier years. The recalls states something about the ecm and about the pistons and driving without oil. Now i have to get my engine replaced and nissan is saying it is not on them. My car was not acting up nor smoking until it cut off and had to be reprogrammed. I feel this messed up my engine.

I drive a 2000 nissan maxima that currently has 48000 miles on it. I developed an engine ping at 45000 miles and took it to the dealer for sevice. They replaced all 6 coil packs and air something or other at a cost of $1300.00. I have driven it 5000 more miles and i once again have an engine ping. I took it back to the dealer a second time to which they told me i was a quart low on oil and that would cause a ping. They did an oil & filter change. I was pleased as i drove away and heard no engine ping, however about 30 miles later it came back. Their theory of being 1 quart low on oil is not correct. I decided to research this problem on the net, and see that this is a very common problem with nissan's. This is not a cheap fix and i think nissan should have to recall this as it should not be a consumer fix.

Nissan's recall deals severely with the motor. Heat sensors were not installed on the motor allowing the motor to reach extreme temperatures, thus burning off the oxygen sensor into the pre-catalyst converter causing my motor to lose 3 qts. Plus of oil per day. Nissan knew of the problem and have tried to correct the problem. Although i have 117,000 miles have kept up with oil changes, nissan wants me to pay 50% of the cost to fixmy vehicle. I have called and complained to nissan's 800 number and over 20 plus calls went unanswered. I then dropped my vehicle off and left in order to get someone to return my call. Nissan threatened me with the towing of my vehicle off their premises and have done so. I am now out of a vehicle and nissan wont budge off of their 50% split for a motor. This was nissan's fault in the production of the vehicle not mine.

I brought my 05 nissan sentra in march 2005. I have taken my car in for regular visits, and every time for a year everything seemed fine. Then in april of 2006 my car wouldn't start. I took the vehicle to the mossy nissan on mile of cars in national city (where i purchased the vehicle) two and each time they said they fixed it. The third time i took it back because it wouldn't start they said that i needed a new engine! and wanted me to pay for it. I was pregnant on bed rest and having to argue with the dealership and nissan corp. That regular maintenance never revealed any problems and that if there were problems they should have caught them. I informed that they did not have to honor the 60 month warranty that i had i would just sue them. After having my husband parents argue with them because the stress during my pregnancy was just too much. They agreed to pay for the new engine. So far so good for almost another year and now the car's service engine soon keeps coming on the car is at the dealer today for the 3rd time. The car stalls out. The service man just left a message on my phone and is now saying the reason for the problem is the sensor is off?! whatever .. I am going to go pick it up .. If the problem happens again i am going to have my boss who's spouse is a lemon law attorney get involved.

I own a 2002 nissan altima. It seemed great when i bought it and now after 5 years it is crap and the thing wont run. The car idles rough when it first starts if it starts at all, there is a water rushing sound under the dash, and my check engine light has been on for quite some time. I am constantly refilling the radiator with coolant and adding so much oil to my car it is crazy. My father-in-law which is a mechanic, told me that the catalytic converter was deteriorating into the #4 cylinder which is causing engine failure which is also where the oil and coolant and gas are going. The easiest fix is to replace the whole engine, which is a $6,300 fix. I just finished paying off my car in may and 3 months later my car start having major problems. I cant afford to fix this and i don't think i should have to, catalytic converter don't just deteriorate. Heck i am the only owner to my car and it is only 5 years old. This is crazy. I have now replaced my engine at my own cost, because the dealer that i bought the car at claims they are not be enough to do anything and to call nissan, which i did and nissan does care. Well after spending six grand on fixing my car, my machine has informed me this is all due toplugged pcv valve because the two inlace holes for this valve are so small they get clogged so easily and the discharge for the pcv valve becomes in intake and to to the size of the discharges the oiled is getting pulling into the engine and well as other fluids which is what is causing the failure of the engine and destroying the catalytic converter.i am giving you the date my car finally died. It took me over a month and a 1/2 to get this fixed and it is still far from being fixed. Please also check out this website for thousands of other nissan dealer that are having the same issue.http://www.thenissanfight.com/phpbb3/index.phphttp://forums.automotive.com/70/1106267/nissan/2002-nissan-altima-oil-dropping-at-108,000miles-i-w/page5.html#6468288.

My nissan quest (2004) has had multiple problems. The passenger door has been repaired 6 times and is still not functioning correctly. I have a terrible vibration upon accerleration. I now have a shaking sensation when braking, and my entire stero system is failing.

Nissan altima 2002, 6 recalls issues with 3 way catalytic converter that has burst into the engine causing engine failure. Has there been any other reports? company honored warranty for converter, but denied to stand behind the engine. Service location in libertyville, il is aware also spoke to executive office in ca.

My husband and i were driving when the car started to jerk and run very rough. Not long after that the check engine light came on and it just shut off right in the middle of traffic. Aaa towed the car to cerritos nissan. The next day they looked it over and said it was a chamber and a mass air filter and injector a. They gave us the total of $1384. We had no choice i needed my car, so we told them to fix it.when we went to pick the car up,we paid our bill, i drove off and it started doing the same exact thing.we took the car back and the head of service was there. My husband tried to explain to him but he was not understanding. My husband ask if he would go on a test drive with him. My husband asked him to drive. When they came back, my husband said not only was it doing the same thing but it cut off on them as well.the service manager said he would write a note about what it was still doing.we had just begrudgingly forked out nearly $1400 and the car was doing the same exact thing. We were upset and wanted to know what did they fix? he assured us that they would fix it. He asked us what we wanted him to do. My husband said that we just needed a rental. He agreed and set us up with one.finally we were able to pick the car up and while it still ran a bit rough it didn't jerk and it didn't cut off. We ask what was wrong with it and they said it was something with the engine 9500 int andenterprise inv d907447 po 151165. So we asked why we were charged for all that other stuff. He said cause it still needed it. And at this time we also had asked about recalls. They said there were none.ironically in going through our old a few months later mail we found a safety recall notice that talk about everything that my car did. We notified our lawyer and ask if we should proceed and he told us to first report it and see what happens.although i really like my altima i have had to many problems. A year after i got it i had to get the entire engine replaced.

I have a 2003 nissan sentra ser that continues to have problems.it stalls, dies in the middle of the roadand sometimes wont start.there is no warning as to when its going to die.it feels like it loses power while your driving down the road. Check engine light comes on and when i take it to the dealer they tell me there is nothing the matter with itthey have replace the chamber assembly throttleand then replaced the crank sensor assembly.sometimes the check engine light does not even come on but when they scan it for a code a code comes up or sometimes no codes come up. This car had been back to the dealer 10 times and they still have not corrected the problem.

I own a 2004 altima with 97,000 miles.car vibrates at speeds of 60 and greater.the car has been to the dealer numerous times without satisfaction.this vibration was due to inferior rotors.after i replaced the rotors with another non-nissan brand at 50,000 miles, the problem went away.all this frustration was due to the poor quality of nissan rotors. I went to the website tirerack.com and bought better quality rotors.

I purchased my vehicle (2004 nissan armada) with 4,836 miles...at 19,673 miles while driving i noticed my brake & abs light come on so i went to pull over..as i slowed i pushed my brake and it made a loud springing and grinding noise and the brakes lost at least 80% of its power "it felt very soft"..turned the vehicle off and then back on again and everything seemed normal, drove about 3 miles to the dealer and left the vehicle there. They changed the rotors, pads, torque member all were no good!!! now again at 23,800 miles the brakes have failed again happening in the same order that it did the first time. The dealer told me yesterday that they think it is electrical.....? so i asked them did you physically check the brakes? they said no....so my husband advised them to check it!!! a day later i am still waiting to hear what is going on?i had researched it over the internet and noticed that i along with hundreds of other people are having the same problem...why no recall!!! having bad breaks can be very very life threatening, i no longer feel comfortable trying my vehicle especially with children ranging in age from 14 month to 7 yrs. Old.please help me!!! i want to just get rid of this vehicle, but do not want to just hand over the problem so another innocent person!!!

4wd light would engage intermittently.stayed on for the duration that the vehicle was on. This has happened 3 times at approx mileage: 1530 miles, 3650 miles & yesterday 10/31/06 at 9:15 p.m. Pst 6880 miles. Brakes & rotors failed at 2200 miles. Replaced by local dealership. Brakes severely screeched at 5500 miles. Local dealership service said "we forgot to tightened up a few bolts on your brakes". At 6750 miles, severe brakes problems. Brakes lights came on, brakes locked up w/ car severely lurching forward when applying pressure light pressure. Drove to the dealership as is without turning off the car. Noticed that problem was serious & gave us a loaner vehicle for 9 days. Local dealership said they have never seen this failure code before on any nissan vehicle for a brake issue. "delta strokeforce" local dealership was unable to repair the problem; drove it to a neighboring dealership 180 miles r/t. The neighboring dealership re-programmed the internal computer & assured me the problem was fixed. Tonight 11/01/2006, brake light came on & brakes failed again with my wife & kids in the vehicle. Could not make a stop off a freeway exit & just about put her foot through the floorboard trying to do so. Brakes engaged suddenly skidding the tires through the intersection. Mileage at time of incident 6927. It is now at 6930; my wife & i will be driving it to the local dealership in the morning.

I own a 2004 nissan titan. I have had this vehicle in the shop for brake failure numerous times. I recently had a car accident in the vehicle because of brake failure. Thisvehicle was damaged , and the vehiclei hit wasalso damaged, and sustained injuries. Thisvehicle was now out of warranty, and the dealer will not repair it, i have stacks of service records , where the truck has been in the shop for brake failure since 2004 when i bought it new. Now i am looking at repairingthe vehicle and the person i hit andtheinsurancecompany was giving me problems because they didn't believe that this vehicle wasknown for its brake failure.

Failure of fuel tank that had a safety recall - after installing the guard on tank tank still split open causing gas to go all over the road we could have died.defective design with tank on bottom of vehicle dangerous close to road.

Thank you.

Transmission makes chattering noise as the engine shuts down (only able to hear when the transmission is warmed up and only able to hear it from outside or with the door open.). Transmission was replaced but the chattering noise still exists. I was told that the problem exists internally in all 6 speed trannys' and the problem can not be attended to unless more people complain.

My transmission went out in 2003 i got it rebuilt it went out again in 2004 every person i know own a 1991-1994 nissan maxima has these problems and i dont think its right.so there should be a recall on the cars transmission.

Had struts replaced at 61,577 miles due to leaking may 2007, and need struts replaced again at 71,300 miles due to leaking.now, also need sway bars replaced since they are loose, but nissan does not want to replace the sway bars unless i pay for them.the car is still under an extended warranty.

I own a 2005 nissan murano sl [xxx] and due to recall number 06v048000, i took in my vehicle to have the gas tank shield and safety belt webbing installed to st charles nissan inc, st peters, mo (nissan dealer no. Scn). Upon my vehicle's return, i find there is no 2nd row lh seat belt clip for me to insert either the 2nd row lh seat belt or my child seat securing harness into. There were 3 clips prior to my taking the vehicle into the dealership - one for 2nd row rh, one in the middle and one for 2nd row lh. Now there are only 2 and i can see visible signs of the lh seat belt clip having being cut off from the seat. This prevents me from attaching my child seat forlh rear passenger to use a seat belt. I am not sure if this is the dealerships fault or nissan's direction to the dealership to remove the seat belt clip, but as of right now there is no way i can use a child seat as there is no place to secure the harness on the left hand side.updated 07/16/2012 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

I leased a new infiniti qx56.the brakes failed at 2500 miles and pads and rotors had to be replaced.my car is being serviced again today for the same reason.the steering wheel shakes uncontrollable when the brakes and rotors wear.i have been driving for over 20 years and have never had brakes fail every 2500 miles!

Letter from nissan north america, inc national headquarters consumer affairs department p.o. Box 191 gardena california.our records indicate that your xterra is equipped with a nissan accessory tow hitch. This tow hitch may not have been manufactured properly. .... Etc.

The accelerator cable on our 1999 nissan quest failed in 2001, we replaced it, and now in 2005 the cable is failing again.the accelerator pedal "sticks" and you have to push very hard to get the vechile to accelerate, creating an unsafe situation where you often have to accerate too fast upon takeoff.this could lead to a rear end collision.

We have had on going brake problems with this vehicle.it started immediately.grinding noise in rear brakes.we had to replace after just one month.since then we have replaced the front brakes and rotors twice and rear brakes one other time. This is ridiculous when you consider this car is only barely three years old and has just 29,000 miles on it.

Ongoing repair issues with infinity qx56 regarding numerous issues, primarily brakes.unsafe vehicle, want to get rid of it.over 30 days of visits to infinity to try to reconcile all issues, some of which are still pending.after repairs to brakes, we were told that when manufacturer sent letter regarding need for brakes to be repaired, they knew that this would not in fact repair the problem.

I have a 1996 nissan sentra gxe.vin number is 3n1ab41d0tl0xxxxx.there are three open recalls on my vehicle:1.visibility:windshield wiper/washer:linkages2.suspension:front:springs:coil springs3.exterior lighting:tail lightsnone of the nissan dealers in my area have offered to fix any of these recall issues for free (as is required by federal and state law).my vehicle still has these safety defects in it and i don't know what to do about it because i know that nissan is ultimately responsible for fixing these recall defects.

My entire rear axle had to be replaced at 31,500 miles on my nissan titan. It started howling and smoking when driving to moab.the dealer replaced the entire rear axle.thankfully i was not at highway speeds when the rear end failed.in addition, the vehicle has had 4 sets of brakes/rotors/calipers on the vehicle and is starting to exhibit signs of needing the fix again.

My nissan quest (2004) has had multiple problems. The passenger door has been repaired 6 times and is still not functioning correctly. I have a terrible vibration upon accerleration. I now have a shaking sensation when braking, and my entire stero system is failing.

Headlight problems.

I leased a 2004 infiniti g-35 coupe and after approximately 36,000 miles, the car started smelling hot and would violently vibrate when driving. The closest infiniti dealer is approximately 40 miles away so i took the car to goodyear and they installed new brake pads on the front tires. Less than 30 days later, the problems still persisted and i took the car back to goodyear and they installed new rotors and brake pads on the rear wheels. This did not fix the problems and 30 days later, i took the car back to goodyear and both the front and rear brake pads were totally worn down. They said i had a problem with the brake system, possibly the calipers, and suggested i take the car to the infiniti dealer. I took the car to crest infiniti in plano, texas and they said the brake fluid had been contaminated. They sent a sample to a testing lab but no test was done because the alleged contaminant was so small it could not be measured. Crest infinity refused to repair the brakes under warranty. I immediately too the car to grubbs infiniti in euless, texas and they also decided to test the brake fluid. After three weeks the test revealed no contaminate in the brake fluid but grubbs said that since the brakes had been worked on by goodyear, the warranty was voided. I have checked the internet and found hundreds of complaints about brakes on the infiniti g-35. Class action lawsuit's have been filed in both california and florida. I found many postings with the exact same problems that i am experiencing. Infiniti refuses to admit that a problem exists and refuses to repair vehicles, including mine, under warranty. The problem has nothing to do with brake pads. There is a problem in the braking system that causes the brakes to be applied when driving the car resulting in excessive heat and excessive wear. This is a serious problem and infiniti is ducking the issue and refusing to issue a recall to repair this serious defect under warranty.

My windshield wipers weren't working. I took my vehicle to zimbrick nissan in madison, wi. They found that the splines were stripped off the wiper arms. Rather than replacing the arms with new ones, they glued the nonfunctional arms back on the vehicle with locktite and stated in writing that everything was now working fine.. These damaged arms could fail at any time and if the driver could lose control of the vehicle due to loss of vision. If the driver is in heavy traffic and/or at high speed on a highway there could be an accident, possibly resulting in loss of life.i complained to nissan about this, but the person, who identified themselves as a customer service worker, said that the dealer had a free hand to do whatever they wanted. I complained about the reuse of a damaged part on an important system of the vehicle that could cause an accident and they said that was the dealers discretion also. I don't think that automobile manufacturers and dealers should be allowed to put damagedparts on vehicles that could result in an accident.

Steering wheel began tightening making it extremely difficult to move. Turning became arduous , slow and scary.we went to the nissan dealer for service.they told us they corrected it.but, the problem returned shortly thereafter.so we returned the vehicle for repair.they told us that the original repair didn't solve the problem (obviously).they needed a new steering part.the agency called that the part arrived.the vehicle was returned again and left all day only to learn that the part delivered to them was wrong.they 'jerry-rigged' it and told us they would call when the new part arrived.the steering is ok but they warned us that it needed to be correctly repaired.the agency has not yet called back .it is odd that a vehicle with only 35,000 miles would have serious, severe steering problems.it is dismaying that we paid to repair a problem only for it to immediately return.then it is annoying to wait all day to learn that the delivered part was the wrong part.and, i am suspicious that maybe the part wasn't wrong, but that they didn't know how to correctly fix the problem.is it enough for them to tell me that the problem isn't correctly fixed?should i have to pay several times for a problem to be correctly fixed?

First incident occurred april 29th,2005. Tempted to accelerate onto the highway and car lost all power. Ould go no faster than 15miles per hour.contacted infiniti dealer and told to have car towed in.accelerator pedal replaced.told problem was resolved. On august 8th,2005, was attempting to park car in space at blockbuster, when car accelerated quickly and hit the brick pillar at blockbuster.both airbags deployed.currently the car is at the body shop for repair and i have notified the infiniti dealer that i would like it inspected before i drive the car.

Front and rear rims on my 2005 nissan 350z broke and required replacement. A total of 5 rims cracked on my car.it required me to replace the nissan rims with after market rims.

Had struts replaced at 61,577 miles due to leaking may 2007, and need struts replaced again at 71,300 miles due to leaking.now, also need sway bars replaced since they are loose, but nissan does not want to replace the sway bars unless i pay for them.the car is still under an extended warranty.

2004 nissan maxima--front struts defective immediately after purchase of auto...dealer replaced struts...now with 3000 miles on them , they are bad again, and i'm going to dealer to see what they say.

Purchased a 2005 nissan maxima in december 2004.by march of 2005, the strut assemblies (both) had been replaced 3 times and the vehicle was in an additional time for the same complaint of noise in the strut assembly but was repaired to no avail.may 25, 2005:noise in the front end again.upon inspection from the authorized nissan dealership in corpus christi, tx, it was said that the noise was coming from a faulty rack and pinion.prior to this (upon conclusion that the struts needed to be replaced a third time), i asked nissan to buy back the vehicle.they refused.this vehicle's front endis not repairable and hazardous.the car, at this time, has 17k miles and needs to be either replaced or bought back.

1998 mercury villager purchased used in 2003. Idle throttle body failed in 2006, mercury dealer took two weeks to find the part and replaced at my expense. Idle throttle body failed again in early 2007.dealer took two weeks again to find part and did not charge me but i had to rent a car at my expense. Today 9/30/07 the same symptom of the car accelerating to 1500 rpm intermittently while sitting stopped at a light has begun again instead of constant 800 rpm when this part is working correctly.i will have to wait on the dealer to find a part and repair it again at my inconvenience and expense. Have other owners of this vehicle engine experienced the same repeated safety and waste of fuel issue?

Front brakes made squeaking noises, and steering wheel shook while braking, unsafe to drive.brakes repaired 3 times.truck wasonly 4 months old with6000 miles.

Nissan murano 2003 has problem with pressure sensor inside transmission.this causes the vehicle to hesitate, 10-15 seconds before you can accelerate.this only started 2 weeks ago and i have 89k miles on it.i almost was stuck by an oncoming vehicle due to the hesitation. There are many more stories like mine on edmunds.com.nissan does not acknowledge any problem with the transmission but clearly states that the defect was corrected in the later models. Big safety issue, please look into this asap before someone is killed.

I have a 2004 nissan truck titan! i can not open my doors when the wheater i bad. Just as of yesterday me and fincey was try to get in the truck the door hander had came off on both side ! right now i have to pay $625.00 each to get the doors fix! i feel that the doors should be fix under the warranty. I only had the truck for two month an i pay a car note each month. When we took the truck in to nissan of brookly center mn.,the superviser jeff told us that this was a on going problem with the 2004 nissan truck titan !! can you help use out with with problem.thank you mrs. My wife and i purchased a 2005 maxima sl in october of 2004. We have had the front struts replaced 5 times. This is an inconvenience for us. When we asked the dealer why this keeps happening, they stated it's only in the new york, tri-state area. The south and west coast does not encounter this problem. This is ridiculous to us. They claims that the new york city streets is the reason for the issue. We need help!!!!!!!!!

Brakes and rotors needed turned at 4.000 miles and brake pedal going to the floor..drivers window not always working..antifreezesmell after driving

The nissan titan started shimmied after 5 weeks from purchase date.it was taken in for service and discovered that the brakes were bad and a pin needed to be replaced.following the pin replaement, the brakes were still bad and the shimmied continued.i was told by the service advisor that brake pads were needed.the pads were ordered - during the interim the brake rotors were turned.three weeks after this the brake light came on and continued making a beeping chime to alert of the brake malfunction, it ws taken in for service once again and i was advised by the service advisor that the pads were again worn and the rotors needed to be turned again.this was done, however, upon picking up the titan from service, the brake light was still on and the shimmying was not gone.now i have to take the vehicle in again.i feel this is unjustified - and would like to complain. -

I was driving on the interstate at 70 mph i went to down shift to 3rd but got 1st. I know this is not supposed to happen so i thought i was in 3rd gear.i let off the clutch and the car went from 70 mph to about 35 mphin 3 sec.i would have went through the windshield if not for the seat belt which work fine. Well this ordeal left my car with 1 or 2 blown cylinder heads, bent, valves water out tail pipe and its not due to the fact i didn't know how to drive a stick i have been driving them since i got out of school in 96..can you tell me why this happened ? and if a isdefect found will they repair my car?

Headlight problems.

Failure of fuel tank that had a safety recall - after installing the guard on tank tank still split open causing gas to go all over the road we could have died.defective design with tank on bottom of vehicle dangerous close to road.

My transmission went out in 2003 i got it rebuilt it went out again in 2004 every person i know own a 1991-1994 nissan maxima has these problems and i dont think its right.so there should be a recall on the cars transmission.

At 25,000 miles the 2002 altima rear brakes froze up and discontinued operating. I was told by a nissan service mgr. That this was due to nissan using faulty material.i had them repaired by an independent service garage and was told that he has seen a lot of this. Brakes not designed for northern weather.

Front brakes made squeaking noises, and steering wheel shook while braking, unsafe to drive.brakes repaired 3 times.truck wasonly 4 months old with6000 miles.

Had struts replaced at 61,577 miles due to leaking may 2007, and need struts replaced again at 71,300 miles due to leaking.now, also need sway bars replaced since they are loose, but nissan does not want to replace the sway bars unless i pay for them.the car is still under an extended warranty.

First incident occurred april 29th,2005. Tempted to accelerate onto the highway and car lost all power. Ould go no faster than 15miles per hour.contacted infiniti dealer and told to have car towed in.accelerator pedal replaced.told problem was resolved. On august 8th,2005, was attempting to park car in space at blockbuster, when car accelerated quickly and hit the brick pillar at blockbuster.both airbags deployed.currently the car is at the body shop for repair and i have notified the infiniti dealer that i would like it inspected before i drive the car.

Brakes and rotors needed turned at 4.000 miles and brake pedal going to the floor..drivers window not always working..antifreezesmell after driving
