I was badly injured during a car crash on september 13, 2009 when a solar powered handsfree bluetooth manufactured by lg electronics and which was mounted according to the instruction booklet on my windshield, directly ito the left front of my driver's seat.the bluetooth came loose from the windshield when i impacted a pole at speed.the item itself is heavy and has sharp corners, and is mounted into a brittle hard plastic that you are instructed to affix to your windshield by means of little suction cups.i would like to know what nhtsa is doing to stop these sorts of accidents and if it has issued any warnings or advisories or otherwise commented on articles that may come loose in an accident.i know that i see various other items such as electronic toll gizmos, but that they tend to be tucked behind the rearview mirror and/or in the middle of the console tucked down at the bottom.whereas lg 's bluetooth instructions booklet instructed me to put the item right in front of my head.you can reach me at [xxx].please note that there was no entry in item description in your database.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
