Took car for inspection to midas . Front brakes (pads)previously installed by midas muffler on may 16 2001, failed inspection on may 24 ,2003. Pads had less than 3000 miles of wear on thempads were burnt . Had stress fractures , pieces broken off. Pads had been installed under warranty by midas muffler, rt 8 gibsonia pa.complete failure of lifetime warranty brake padsmidas wanted three hundred dollars to re do brakes. I refused to let them rip me off, again.i had another shop redo brakes @$40.00 this charge was brake pads and labor.
