Several issues with the vehicle, airbag has had several problems, never deployed when in accident, first issue was covered under warranty, said they had to rewire it, a few months later light come on again. This time they tell me the circuit motherboard has crashed, completely disabling the airbag. Second incident was with alternator, light continued coming on, dealership said nothing was wrong with car. Car eventually broke down in traffic, alternator had went out completely and it was only a few days after the warranty expired. I was forced to come out the pocket, now there are issues with the engine. The shaft position sensor has failed and my car broke down on the interstate. There have been several issues with my car, and i use it for transportation from school and work locally.

I own 2003 hyundaisante fe on june 2008 it started stalling, hestitating on the highway it started jerking and engine light came on pulled to side it shut off would not start until hours later, took to dealer diagnostic showed crankshaft ,belt timing plugs, total cost was $1219.84stated was not warranty, i had them repair , last couple months ,same thing again, but i notice that the jerking and stalling happens after a rainy/humid day the jerking and stalling happen more, was told spark plugs needed to be replace again, still the same problem. I will contact hyundai america and also the bbb about this, i think there should be a recall and taken care of, the stalling while driving can cause an accident which 2 times it almost happen with me. I can not afford to pay this again. Doing researchthis is happening to lots of 2003 , but this has happen prior to 2001 & 2002. I hope to get something resolved.

Atimingbelt change was preformed. In 2 days the car started making a noise w/turning. My reg mech found bubbling in steering fluid. He felt the work was faulty. The dealer claimedneeded a pump. Next a belt noise develop another mech found the idle pulley"hanging from a bolt."i took it in for the 7th time& and"franz" the mechanic acknowledged it-fixed it. I was told,"i dont know how that happened."the car then continued with the same noise, vibration, and not running smooth. I had a mech at tires plus eval-he found leaking steering fluid,& also mentioned it was connected to the original work. I spoke w/ mgr leroy larson &gm at weston*(who suggest i buy a new car),i was informed lead mech said the steering pump was causing the vibration. (same mech who didnt know how the idle pulley was hanging from a bolt" another mechanic from the dealership assessed & indicated the leak was due to a hose on the steering pump need replacement,a tensioner need replacement & the engine mounts. Hat upon replacingitems, vibration would stop & problems.they agreed to pay 75% & billed me 200.00-for replacement of engine mounts, hose to the steering pump,a tensioner, etc. 2 days later the vibration continues, the steering wheel noise is worse,& the car runs rough. I went to a 5th mechanic who checked the problems and indicated he believed the original work was done wrongand suggested going to another dealership, then demanding they fix it. I went to another dealer in coconut creek who then indicated it would require 6 hours labor just to determine the problem, that there computers showed the timing was on q. I was informed by multiple mechanics they feel the original work was done improperly and the balance belt and other items may have been replaced wrong. I called the dealer and jim the service mgr screamed at me that i would have to pay a service call and,"they weren't doing anymore free work for you." i have called hyunadi america to no avail. 5 mechanics have looked over my suv.
