My name is [xxx]. I am sure this department is aware of the grievously unsafe driving conditions a lot of honda and bmw owners are surrounded by due to faulty airbags. I have been researching this issue and nothing has been done. 14 million cars affected across the nation have been affected. That means 14 million+ americans' lives are at risk. It is your departments responsibility to make sure this issue is corrected. So i will raise the question: what do you plan to do about this? something needs to be done and now. I have already contacted my senator's office and informed them of this departments passive approach to a serious safety concern. Fix this. Now. It is this departments responsibility to make this right. So make it right. Thank you for your time and understanding. I will be following up with this request. (1) event leading to the failurei was in a vehicle accident and my driver side curtain airbags did not deploy dispite the direct contact on the driver side door, which bolted the door permantly shut.
I have a honda accord 2005 and have noticed the airbag light continues to light up showing there is some defect. I could never find a recall on this issue and the light have come on for over a year now. I am concerned because we are military and now with the airbag recall issue i have found out talking with the corporate honda dealer they are only getting the vehicle location from local dmv offices. The problem is military register their cars in their home state, but live in other states. So my car is in ca and has also been in fl and va. Because of this oversight, it appears i have not been notified of the recall. I called honda to confirm if the faulty part is in my vehicle, and honda refuses to tell me. I have been told "i am not part of the recall because i am not on the list".but if i have the part, and since my car has been in a recall state, i should be included. It is a total lack of coordination and record keeping. They refuse to listen and refuse to assist. I have warned them i am pregnant with twins and need to get this issue resolved for safety purposes, but they refuse to listen. This amounts to negligence and i am now worried honda does not care one bit for my safety or the safety of my unborn twins.
Srs light which was under warranty came on,2003 honda pilot. The dealership replaced both drivers side and passenger side air bags under a recall.the srs light still remained on so a diagnostic test revealed a code 15-3 in the opds system and found faulty wiring in passenger seat harness which was under warranty for ten years which we were not aware of until the s rs light came on. After doing my own research i found honda service. Bulletin 06-009 dated feb.5,2008,which set the warranty at 10 years or 157000 miles. My vehicle falls within in the mileage parameters but not the years.you would think the time would run from the date of the bulletin. It doesn't seem fair that i have tp pay to replace this part when honda knew it was a defective part and should replace it without any restrictions on time or mileage.
I will be driving and my car will just shut off, i also have the extended stopping problem and braking causing me to manually steer.i have also had trouble with the car not starting or starting slowly.i was told there were several recalls before i purchased the car and they were repaired - the abs was done last year but the problem continues.i would like the abs replaced.i checked your website for outstanding recalls and found.i called the dealer and was told the abs was done 2/04 but the truck continues to have the same problem - extending stopping.i have had my passport 3 years and have only received one recall - but the problem currently exists ... Extended stopping distance.the only recall sticker in the door is for the pedal. Additionally, i have also had a problem with the truck turning off in the middle of a turn (forcing me to manually steer my car) 98v70 (describes it completely)my truck also refuses to start properly.it starts and then shuts off - sometimes it takes up to 3 times to turn on and stay on.(sb03-03-s003 describes this as well) since i cannot determine who performed the other recalls, how can i be certain they were done or done properly?my vehicle continues to have the identical problems associated with the following recalls:nhtsa campaign # 02i002001 - service brakes, hydraulic; anti-lock (5/29/02) 98v170000 - electrical system - wiring, front underhood (7/23/98)98v170002 - electrical system - wiring front underhood (7/23/98)00v058000 - suspension, rear (2/29/00)97v206002 - other (11/11/97) i have not had any accidents as a result, but i am afraid to drive with my children in the car if my car just shuts off in the middle of a turn, or on the freeway and at low speed.i have also had it accelerate while on the freeway revving the engine constantly - these have all happened for the last 3 years with no recall notices.

Dealer confirms they replaced the part.mechanic said its unlikely to be ignition switch if replaced.daughter inquired with local mechanics who gave various solutions.i elect to retrieve car.she is a full-time student with 22 credits could not afford to be without car or spend time seeing if an unknown mechanic resolve. Driving back to reno engine stops again.going about 70 mph able to pull over.drive home close to rode side. My mechanic works only on honda and toyota (own three honda cars). He determines its ignition switch. Dealer confirms to him part was replaced.but had no record of part coming out of inventory and vin was not punched for recall replacement.dealer would not replace without charging (i can forward paper work on repair and other issues that occurred after they repair.concern/complaint, if replaced why almost 5 yrs to date issue re-occurred.is manufacturer part still defected? have there been other consumer complaints?odd original recall was 5 yrs from the date of purchase 10/31/97, have invoice if needed.

I own an acura tl type-s and the transmission keeps going out. The dealer keeps replacing the transmission, but the problem is not fix. The transmission has been replace 3 times.
My dad has died from injuries sustained from a car accident, he told me his car 2006 honda civic accelerated on its own! the car accelerated at high rpmwhen he just went to accelerate. To enter the road making a left, instead the car went so fast within seconds, he lost control and his honda plowed threw a stop sign, then was finally stopped by a steel pole holding up a quick check sign! he sustained extensive chest injuries! 3 broken ribs, 2 dropped lungs, fractured sternum, fractured c4 and c7 spine injuries! he died due to a defect in the accerlaertion of the vehicle racing on its own! my dad has always kept up with recalls and has car logs and maintenance logs, etc. I hope other people never have to experience this tragic sudden death, due to a defect in manufacturer acceleration, or whatever equipment is responsible for this accident! it's a mfg defect! please address or at least make public aware this could happen to them!the consumer requested a status update.

I had auto accident, i was going 15 to 20 miles an hour.when i hit small tree. The steering wheel crushed my chest and i suffered a spinal cord injury at the t~2 level and now i'm now a quadriplegic. My seat belt failed to hold,the seat belt assembly had beenrecalledmine was replaced under recall.in 1996 recall no.- 95-028i was still having trouble with the belt latch not staying fastenedcalled the honda company to correct the problemthey didn't help me at all.a dealer told me honda has a lifetime seat belt warrantyon all honda vehicles, it covers any seat belt componentsthat fails to function properly.the american honda motor company said it's my responsibility.now i'm paying the price.buyer beware you might end up,like me in a wheelchair.this recall only infected 3,300,000 vehicles,roll the dice? take a change.i'm sure there are more victims out there,while some i'm sure you planted them...
Put driver's side visor down and it broke. Visor continued to keeps fall down every time i tried to put it back up making it difficult to see out the front windshield. I had to pay approximately $150 to have the problem corrected. Car is a 2012 honda accord lx.

I'm filing this complaint to report three ongoing problems and one new problem, all related to the rear sliding door latches, locks and handles:1. The door latch on the rear passenger-side sliding door of our 1999 honda odyssey lx becomes loose while the vehicle is in motion, causing the interior lights and rear door-open indicator to flash on intermittently. 2. The rear sliding doors often are extremely difficult to open from the outside.the van has been serviced for these two problems at no cost on three separate occasions by a local honda dealership (trickett honda).3. Sometimes the locks on the sliding doors don't engage when the automatic lock button is pushed.4. The outside door handle on the rear passenger-side sliding door does not retract back into the indented slot and no longer opens the door.

Honda -crv -ex awd 2018parts: camera/radar & harness.in secure & faulty design by honda security features.in the recent incident i came across the situation, i have parked my car in the residency parking.someone has stolen the important camera/radar & harness which is located under the "h" logo in the front bumper.the car was not alarming when the thief was removed sensor from the circuit.this was very bad security design was in built by honda, anyone can easily remove and go when the car is parked. The driver/owner has no clue until the car was diagnosed. It is easy and close the cover back without any damage. The features are now big concern not working:lkasadaptive cruise controlroad mitigation departureauto high beambasic cruise system.lane departure warning this was happened in our apartment community around 6 crv-2017,2018 models stolen, not sure how many of them were reported to police department/insurance company.now honda dealer will be charging $1885 to replace. I am still doubtful what is the guarantee after replace the parts, the same guy will steal it again since he knew that all the cars are here.i am sure this is very important features for honda with no security system.honda should answer and take immediate replace this security system.
Recently i parked my vehicle on my apartment parking. Some one stole the harness safety equipment which is available in the car. This equipment is helpful in collision detection, lkas and auto dim bright features like these etc.., this is stolen easily without entering into the car. I came to know from my dealership that this part is removed very easily without any alarm.

Honda requested pictures of the errors to be taken while driving the vehicle with the cruise control on as proof. Honda refused to proceed with a repair because the dealer could not duplicate the problems.

I own a honda crv. Within a week of purchase, i registered my vehicle with honda usa to ensure they had my name, address, email address and phone number.in july 2016, my air conditioning abruptly stopped working. Since i use my call all day for work, i needed it fixed quickly. I called 3 local honda dealers and none of them could fix my car within 7 days, nor did any of the people i spoke with say my problem might be related to the air compressor recall honda was experiencing. I had to take my car to a local mechanic and pay $1107.00. The onus is on honda to inform the consumers of any recall issues, especially since they have all of my information. I received no such notification.i have written numerous letters and email to honda and all i have received to date is $490. I would like full reimbursement as it is honda's responsibility to advise me of potential problems with my vehicle.

The engine failure light came on. I was able to take the vehicle to the van nuys honda.they notified me that this was caused by a re-call which was never communicated to me. There was an engine valve failure. I had to leave the car there for 5 days. Even though, they promised to take care of my rental car, honda changed their story and refused to pay for rental.
2004 honda pilot's driver's seat heater stopped working and soon thereafter the seam ripped revealing burnt foam padding and loose and some disconnnected wires presumably from the seat heater. The stitching of the seat seem appears to have burnt through rather then rip apart. This appears to be both a safety and fire hazard as well as a functional defect in the wiring.

I own honda civic lx-01. While i was driving transmission just died. It only had 54,000+ miles, which is less than the average 12-15,000 mi /yr. Was serviced regularly and certainly not abused. I had an extended warranty, which honda would not honor. This happened a few months after warranty ended. American honda would not pay for repair which was $2,500+ for new tranny. They said because i did not have tranny fluid changed at honda, they would not pay for it. I took it in for service at 25,000 mi and sherwood honda never changed tranny fluid or said i would need to change it in near future. Their negligence which cost me alot of money. I had fluids changed regularly at jiffy lube. Nowhere in maintenance book does it state honda fluids must be used, but recommended. Nowhere does it say tranny oil must be changed at 30,000 mi which they claim. Honda has had recalls of '01 trannys in other models. This defective tranny was indigenous to this car not because of action or inaction on my part. Would never buy another honda. I am a senior. It is much too dangerous and costly. Supposed to be a consumer friendly company and reliable car. Great ad campaign, poor results. Honda does not back its product and placed my life in danger.
The welded bolt on the shock absorber of koni yellow shocks for the honda s2000 are off-center, so it strips the thread of the bolt. They have fixed later shocks, but i have an older defective shock and they won't replace it. The bolt comes loose and is a safety hazard.

I had auto accident, i was going 15 to 20 miles an hour.when i hit small tree. The steering wheel crushed my chest and i suffered a spinal cord injury at the t~2 level and now i'm now a quadriplegic. My seat belt failed to hold,the seat belt assembly had beenrecalledmine was replaced under recall.in 1996 recall no.- 95-028i was still having trouble with the belt latch not staying fastenedcalled the honda company to correct the problemthey didn't help me at all.a dealer told me honda has a lifetime seat belt warrantyon all honda vehicles, it covers any seat belt componentsthat fails to function properly.the american honda motor company said it's my responsibility.now i'm paying the price.buyer beware you might end up,like me in a wheelchair.this recall only infected 3,300,000 vehicles,roll the dice? take a change.i'm sure there are more victims out there,while some i'm sure you planted them...
I will be driving and my car will just shut off, i also have the extended stopping problem and braking causing me to manually steer.i have also had trouble with the car not starting or starting slowly.i was told there were several recalls before i purchased the car and they were repaired - the abs was done last year but the problem continues.i would like the abs replaced.i checked your website for outstanding recalls and found.i called the dealer and was told the abs was done 2/04 but the truck continues to have the same problem - extending stopping.i have had my passport 3 years and have only received one recall - but the problem currently exists ... Extended stopping distance.the only recall sticker in the door is for the pedal. Additionally, i have also had a problem with the truck turning off in the middle of a turn (forcing me to manually steer my car) 98v70 (describes it completely)my truck also refuses to start properly.it starts and then shuts off - sometimes it takes up to 3 times to turn on and stay on.(sb03-03-s003 describes this as well) since i cannot determine who performed the other recalls, how can i be certain they were done or done properly?my vehicle continues to have the identical problems associated with the following recalls:nhtsa campaign # 02i002001 - service brakes, hydraulic; anti-lock (5/29/02) 98v170000 - electrical system - wiring, front underhood (7/23/98)98v170002 - electrical system - wiring front underhood (7/23/98)00v058000 - suspension, rear (2/29/00)97v206002 - other (11/11/97) i have not had any accidents as a result, but i am afraid to drive with my children in the car if my car just shuts off in the middle of a turn, or on the freeway and at low speed.i have also had it accelerate while on the freeway revving the engine constantly - these have all happened for the last 3 years with no recall notices.

My dad has died from injuries sustained from a car accident, he told me his car 2006 honda civic accelerated on its own! the car accelerated at high rpmwhen he just went to accelerate. To enter the road making a left, instead the car went so fast within seconds, he lost control and his honda plowed threw a stop sign, then was finally stopped by a steel pole holding up a quick check sign! he sustained extensive chest injuries! 3 broken ribs, 2 dropped lungs, fractured sternum, fractured c4 and c7 spine injuries! he died due to a defect in the accerlaertion of the vehicle racing on its own! my dad has always kept up with recalls and has car logs and maintenance logs, etc. I hope other people never have to experience this tragic sudden death, due to a defect in manufacturer acceleration, or whatever equipment is responsible for this accident! it's a mfg defect! please address or at least make public aware this could happen to them!the consumer requested a status update.
I own a honda crv. Within a week of purchase, i registered my vehicle with honda usa to ensure they had my name, address, email address and phone number.in july 2016, my air conditioning abruptly stopped working. Since i use my call all day for work, i needed it fixed quickly. I called 3 local honda dealers and none of them could fix my car within 7 days, nor did any of the people i spoke with say my problem might be related to the air compressor recall honda was experiencing. I had to take my car to a local mechanic and pay $1107.00. The onus is on honda to inform the consumers of any recall issues, especially since they have all of my information. I received no such notification.i have written numerous letters and email to honda and all i have received to date is $490. I would like full reimbursement as it is honda's responsibility to advise me of potential problems with my vehicle.
