I own a 2005 honda pilot since 2008 and this car has 95,000 + mileage. Recently the vsa light started coming on. I have taken this car to several shop for diagnostics and the codes coming up is not readable. I went online to research on this and discovered that so many people do have the same problem. Can you compel honda to do something before the problems get out of hands pls?
This form is not right- "equipment" was not generated properly1) the vehicle maintenance, tcs and engine check lights illuminated.i took the vehicle to the dealer to check the vehicle.according to the dealer, the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced.2) this is the second transmission failure that i've had with this vehicle.the transmission was replaced at 69,000 engine miles and now at 160,000 engine miles and the vehicle was just 8 yrs old.3) the dealer indicated that it would cost $3500 with assistance from honda.without assistance, the transmission would cost $4500.i started shopping aroundwith different transmission shops and found that this vehicle is notorious for failing.i had it rebuilt for $1879.
2003 honda accord v6 transmission failure while driving on highway. Vehicle as well as occupant were in danger of injury/etc. Honda had issued a recall on this model of honda/transmission for inspection/repair. Repair based upon honda's evaluation was completed. Vehicle was then cleared as repaired and safe to drive. After repairtransmission failed as stated above . Vehicle was repaired after a quick mediation while we were away on a trip. This was mediated via a representative for honda dealers. Upon return from the trip,dealer was contacted to pay for the repair and told no further contact with honda representative by customer was allowed. Honda dealer/service manager told me to contract honda via their 1-800 number for possible further consideration of money lost for transmission repair.contact with honda at their 1-800 number was made. After a long question/answer series, i was informed there was nothing further honda via this representative was able or willing to do. During this conversation i attempted to gain certain specific information such as the number of transmissions recalled and ultimately replaced due to faulty equipment/part(s). I was told that type of specific information unique to honda of that year/model would not be available and or given to myself. I have attempted to contact various sources, such as the california department of consumer affairs/motor vehicle section. This site/number was one of several recommended for possible assistance. Any further information or contact would be appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.
2009 honda accord leased in 2008 from valley honda, 4173 ogden avenue, aurora il, 60504. The vehicle was returned to the dealership due to noise coming from brakes and steering wheel pulling to the left. Returned vehicle several more times complaining of same issue. Valley honda stated there per techline, honda is aware of the problem and is working on a countermeasure. In my opinion this is a safety hazard.i explained to honda, the dealership and the better business bureaus that this is a safety hazard because i have to "pump" my brakes in order to control the vehicle during stopping...all disagreed.can you help?
I have a honda accord 2003 lx. My stereo light is dim and i couldn't see the clock. They have a service bulletin 04-027. However, they told me that they fix all the 2003 accord except model lx and dx.the point is my car has the same problem as other 03's accord does. It is really dangerous which can cause accident if drivers try to read the time at the dark. ( or it is impossible to see during at night without the background light) honda should cover all the 2003 accord! not only upper model.
When driving at night regardless of the speed,with the a/c on the headlights flickers intermittently.i have read other web sites that its been a problem for this particular vehicle and model.many have been to the dealer and have spoken to the manufacture which resulting as this is normal for this type of vehicle/model.this raises big concerns when driving at night, having your headlights flicker intermittently poses a safety hazard.please looking into this matter.the dealerships and car manufacturer's answer to this problem is not acceptable.

2003 honda odyssey - as we were driving on hwy i-24 w, tcs and check engine indicators lighted up. We checked the handbook given by honda in which it was said that the vehicle can be driven even when these lights are on. We drove for 30 miles when there was a smell like gas and it got stronger in couple of minutes. I asked my husband to pull over and stop the vehicle. The vehicle did not move after that. Had to call a tow truck and had it towed back to the dealer at home. The dealer inspected the vehicle and tried flushing the transmission fluid, which according to the service personnel was so burnt that the transmission needs to be replaced. The dealer quoted $3750.00 for replacing the part. Called american honda to report the problem. They said that nothing could be done since we were not the original owner of the vehicle. Case# n012010-11-0103469. Based on research we found that there was a recall for this vehicle in 2004, your campaign id# 04v176000. There are many other complaints of the same and everyone saying that honda has not done anything to resolve this issue. This was a dangerous situation for us, since we had two children in the van and if the transmission had given out before we pulled over we would have surely been rear ended by someone since everyone is traveling at such high speeds.
In february, 2004 i purchased my pre-owned 2002 honda accord lx 4dr sedanat my credit union's event.it had only 14,000 miles on it at time of purchase. I thought i was getting a super great deal on a" used" honda with low mileage!i have since used it for my job locally, on the road 5 days a week.i have kept up the maintenance from minor oil changes and fluid/filter changes to major tune ups, all at the local honda dealership. Since that timei would put between 16 to 18,000 miles per year on the car. Two years later, by august of '06,i felt that the car was not pulling its weight properly and took it in for a check up.they said that there was nothing they could find; but keep a log of when and where it occurs throughout the day and bring it back in 2-4 wks and they would check it again.i did this, brought them my log, they looked at the car again and said it needed a new transmission (this was at 53,000 miles). Fortunately, it was under extended honda care warranty, and i paid only a $50 deductible.for the last 3 years, i put approximately 18,000 miles per year on it again. This past october i just had them replace the timing belt, a large ticket item! now, a month later the car has been driving with a slight lurching as i begin to move from a stop or as i decelerate to brake.i took the car in and low and behold, they tell me the transmission is out! again!this is ridiculous.i have friends with hondas at 250,000 miles and never lost their tranny!what can i do?this is a huge expense; one i never suspected i would have to replace again before reselling or trading it in.
