The contact owns a valley industries trailer hitch class 5, model 7300.the contact stated that the portion of the hitch that the trailer hook receiver was connected to had defective welds, which detached from the trailer.as a result, the trailer detached from the vehicle and caused a crash.the trailer struck the vehicle and forced it sideways into a ditch.the trailer and vehicle were both destroyed.a police report was filed.the contact sustained a broken finger and possible neurological damage (pending tests).he spoke with the manufacturer who was supposed to send a representative to inspect the hitch, but later stated that no one was available for the inspection.the serial number and part number were unknown.
