Read complaints for GROTE TRAILER LIGHTING KITS (1991)
I purchased a set of led trailer lights from west marine in california. The first time i usedthe trailer i found that one trailer light failed within 200 miles, and the second failed within a few more. My fishing buddy called me on my cell phone told me the lights were out. I returned them to the store and got a replacement set which also failed promptly. I then went to the companies web site and found that there were over 50 reviews online of the product i bought and several others that had the same concern. The most concerning thing was that the reviews went back to 2004, showing that the company knew that these lights were defective and did nothing to remedy the problem.had someone not been following me, my trailer (8'6" wide 32' long) would have been invisible in the dark night. I was traveling at 50mph and being passed at 70+. There could have been a really bad crash due to this. This needs to be rectified asap or someone will be seriously hurt. If you go to www.westmarine.com and search for led trailer lights in the search bar, then click on the pages , and then click on the star ratings and you will find these reports. One report indicates that the light caught on fire.
