My accident happened on a sunny dry day. I was driving home from work doing about 45 mph when the vehicle in front of me had hit a car that was stopped for the light. I was the fourth car back and had heard the crash. I slammed on the brakes and they grabbed and then proceeded to just continue to go and basically my car hit the back of a truck causing about $10,000 in damage and sending me to the hospital. I had enough room behind that vehicle to stop. It was like the pedal just went to the floor and i had no brakes. I am also concerned because the air bag also did not deploy. Gm told me that it's because the bumpers did not meet with each other. More lies if you ask me. I think they need to have these vehicles checked before someone really get hurt bad. This has cost me much grief, loss of work and out of pocket money.

While driving my 1999 oldsmobile alero 2.4l, my traction control light came on.it did not give the normal warning indicator to let me know that something was wrong.i stopped at a stop sign.with the oncoming traffic it requires you to quickly enter the intersection.my car stalled in the middle of take of as if it was not getting gas.the oncoming traffic which is traveling at a great rate of speed had to slam on breaks to prevent from hitting my stalled car.several cars came to a screeching halt and nearly wrecked.i learned that the cause of the car stalling was my throttle position sensor was faulty.this is the second time i have had to replace the tps. The first was done approximately 2 years ago the hendrick dealership in apex north carolina.i experienced the same problem with the traction control light coming and the transmission shift irregular and the car stalling.on the last experience today 28 feb 06 i had my 7 year old son in the back seat.i would like this issue address by the general motors corporation immediately.i narrowly escaped suffering severe injuries and possible lost of life today.

Bought the car used with 20,000and it was having problems a week later. Passenger window would not roll up,grinding and clicking at slow turns. They replaced rotors ,clutch and suspension and the problem was solved. Then came the air condition not blowing cold air and the ignition sticking on start up. The final straw was the transmission slipping and dropping into lower gears, the car will be in the shop in the morning. Last chevy i will ever buy back to nissan.

I have had problems with brake grinding since i bought my 04 cavalier. It has been into the dealership 3 times and each time i was told there was only rust build up and it was sanded off only to reccur. The last time in the dealership, i was told my car was no longer under warranty and if i wanted a brake job done it would be in excess of $140.00...this...was for the same problem the car was in for the previous 2 times and no new brakes installed..only the rust ground off. My check engine light periodically goes off and on and the dealership cannot determine why. I no longer have any lights on my radio/cd player..i can play cd's and use the radio but have no idea what station etc i am on. Shortly after this occurred in like 2 weeks, i lost my speedometer...it works briefly and then sticks at 90 mph ( the odometer works however) the dealership checked fuses and said all was fine. They said it appeared to be a cluster module and even though the part was not that expensive, the labor would be the most because it entailed them removing the dash board. The cost factor of over $400 was verbally given to me. I live on a fixed income and cannot afford this. They said there were no recalls and given my car is off warranty, i would need to absorb this cost myself. I bought this car brand new and feel that after less than 2 years of owning it, these problems should not have happened. I gave an estimated account of dates of incident been they have been on going and can be verified through the dealership i bought it from as i have taken it no where else for service. I am registered with carstats and there have been several complaints of the same things i am experiencing.

While driving at 60 mph, with no warning car stalled, towed to the dealer who replaced faulty theft deterrent unit and said it was fixed.car then stalled again while driving, towed to dealer, who said their was a internal fault in the fuel pump harness and car is fixed. Car stalled again at 55 mph.

Cts-v rear differential whinning at 35-40 mph gm did replace it. I had a 2003 cts and the rear differential locked up while driving 35 mph and skidded about 20 feet. Gm replaced it 3 times and finally bought the car back. One year later we bought the 2005 cts-v and its doing the same thing, gm needs to figure this out before someone dies....

About march 1, 2005, steering mechanism would vibrate and lose control. Front brakes would pull the car to the right.a subsequent motor vehicle accident occurred on february 7, 2005, on i80, 7pm, going southbound.luckily no one was injured in either car ... My car was hydroplaning due to inclement weather conditions.

Sending unit for fuel gauge read full until car had been driven 200 miles. Took to dealership and they indicated it is a common problem with the car. Wanted $380.00 to repair. In 34 years of driving, i've never had a sending unit go bad. Checked service manual, found there is an access panel in the trunk to change the sending unit w/o removing the tank. Sending unit was 195.00 from dealer, $95.00 through rock auto and came in a gm box, took only 25 minutes to install. I liked the price of $95.00 better than $380.00. It has worked fine since then.

Bought the car "new" on 7/4/07. On 7/8/07 the transmission would not downshift into first gear. Took the car to a buick dealer where they fixed a defective part. Drove the car home that night and the problem started again. Brought the car to another dealer and they diagnosed the same problem. The car is still in the shop today. I've owned the car for 11 days and it's been in the shop 8 days and counting.
