2008 saturn outlook drivers side headlamp shorted out.already replaced lamp and it shorted out again.very common problem.

I understand you are considering outlawing hid headlights.there seems to be no other place on your website to complain about them... They are terrible - too bright.i look away from them due to the glare. Not safe.thanks.*nlm

About six months after purchasing my 2006 toyota prius the headlights starting going out while i was driving. I took it in to the dealership and they replaced the bulb. They had said that they had never heard of this before. The lights worked for about two months then occasionally would go out again. Now that my warranty has run out they are going out every time i drive the car. This is a real safety issue. When you turn the switch off and then on again they come on for awhile then turn off again. They have never not come on, but drivers in front of you get a bit upset when you start flashing your headlights behind them! i've noticed on line that this is a common issue on the prius. I hope that you can force toyota to recall and repair this issue.

My complaint is about a problem that i believe is getting seriously out of hand -- that of increasing numbers of cars and suvs on the road with extremely bright headlights.i am 52.i don't believe it's a vision problem.for fifty years or so, i generally had no problem with oncoming headlights.then cars with these new high-intensity beams started appearing on roads.these lights are painful to my eyes.they make it difficult for me to see.i want to avert my eyes but i know i must keep my eyes on the road.at first i hoped they would just go away or be outlawed, but the problem has only gotten worse as more new vehicles with these lights enter the road.combine high-intensity lights with an suv and it is a painful and blinding experience to have one of these vehicles coming head-on or from behind, with the lights reflecting in my rearview mirrors.i see no sense in making it easier for those with these offensive lights to see better when it blinds everyone else.but soon everyone will be blinded when all cars have them -- unless it is stopped now.please do what you can to get these bright lights off the road and let people go back to the type of headlights that worked just fine for 100 years.thank you,wes cogan

Headlight has failed 3 times. Each time the bulb melted the harness. The first two occasions were covered under warranty.the third occasion was at 63,000 and was not covered and will cost $415 to repair.

The motorcycle headlights are a glaring hazard. Standards should be set to keep them within safety standards.suv's and big pickups following at night are a big distraction. One can't avoid the huge glare in the side view mirrors. These vehicles should be required to have lower headlights. High intensity are terrible too.*nlm

The headlight power connector is not water proofed and can burn and/or start a fire.this is the second time this has happened in my personal vehicle in the past year. Chevy aveo 2009

I have read all your information on the effects of these new head lights, i would really like to know when you people are going to do something about them, i remember when off road light which are illegal to use on the road ways were the brightest things you can buy (and still are illegal by the way) but are no longer brighter then these new blue lights which will blind you on a dark 2 lane road. So i have to ask that if a 90w off road light is illegal on the road way then why is a 100w+blue light legal? are you going to wait until the population is reduced to the point where law suites are required to fix this issue, the only people that benefit from these lights are the people that are behind the wheel of the car that has them and the rest of us have to suffer. Does this sound right it shouldn't.

Various lights going out.head, interior, and tail lights.

The government is already years late in coming up with proper headlight standards. The situation in the northeast and perhaps other areas where there is now a near majority of suv's is becoming intolerable. There needs to be an adjustment to standards for headlight height (this is a no brainer that should have been in place years ago..). Hid headlights (since it's too late to ban them) should be required to have automatic leveling controls like they do in europe. Where have the regulators been on this? (i am refraining from an obscene phrase) anyone regularly driving a crowded highway at night knows the situation has gotten much worse over the past few years. From nhtsa web site.

Aftermarket lights, also lower factory driving lights, and new plastic lights shooting light out the top and to the side.i drive a greyhound bus and these lights are blinding me in my flat review mirrows. Add in outvof adjustment headlights and the publics lack of concern about oncoming traffic by failure to dim high beams,.........in europe they have side filters on headlight lenses to stop glare.
